I applied for Canada visit visa in August 9 2021, I have even forgot about the application, recently , I heard good news of 2 people who also applied that same year 2021 and was given .. now I want to track my application to know my application status but I don’t know how to , cos the agent that helped me has forgotten the log in details.. pls anyone should help me with which other way I can get my application status … thank you
He should remember the mail he used nah, wit that you can do forget password. If you’ve UCI n application number, create a new gckey n link the account. I hope he will still remember the security questions. If not maybe you’ll need to call ircc for assistance.

Ignore that, you can pickup in person or send a third party. If you want to pickup ursef just go with photocopy of your international passport n write ur tracking number on it.

ddooskie: Let's assume I miss a conference date like your friends and I already have a visa can I just ask for a letter of invitation from a relative in Canada to serve as convincing reason for travelling if asked by the CBSA?

You can use the visa to travel for tourism or any other reason under visiting visa. Just have the necessary requirements for your purpose of visit.

Yes, look for another conference. You can go for tourism or other purpose, just be ready to prove your entry into Canada at POE.

I flew through British airways and i landed at Montreal. Everything went smooth and easy at the immigration. They only asked me what i am hete for and the name of my employer.
It is summer here and can be a little chilly because of the wind(for me)
I have been receiving visitors from my colleagues and employers .
I realize that I didn’t bring enough clothes, i just packed mainly foodstuffs.
I haven’t tried their food yet, although my employer left some foodstuffs innthe fridge for me, i brought cooked food from Nigeria. Surprisingly they were still blocked. It saves me because all i do is cook rice and make eba.
Today i ate correct eba and vegetable soup with plenty okporoko and dried fish(the one i brought from home)
Please don’t ask me how i got the job. I have answered it too many times already…. Just look for it.
It is a beautiful place. I haven’t started making friends yet but my colleagues have been inviting me to their houses. Example, i have dinner on Sunday with my boss, his family and grandparents.
I am going for an auction tomorrow whete they bid for horses and cows, it is going to be like a carnival.
I haven’t officially resumed because i came a week earlier, but i spend my free time praying, opening accounts, medical insurance, reading about my job.

Litup1: The refusal treason in the last application is that that VO is not satisfied that I will return home after my study.
For SOWP please, do I have to prove that I’ll return home? Also I used to think SOWP is just for residents that have a study permit and not PGWP. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Also, I heard SOWP processing timeline takes months. How true please?

You’ve to proof strong home tie then even if you’re applying for Sowp. You need to show you’re doing well in your home country. Job, business, assets, investments, families will can be use as home ties. Processing time is solely dependent on the visa officer.

You can apply immediately, but I will advice you order note to know why the two applications were denied, that will help tackle it in your new application.
Please my brother was asked to come pick up his passport from Lagos VFS office.. He paid on 17th, 3days ago for them to courier it to him at Owerri... He uploaded the receipt and they sent him an acknowledgement mail but till date he hasn't received the passport..
Please how many days does it take them to courier the passport to one's destination..

Nobody checks transaction history, can only check balance (very rare). You also need to relax, you’re getting too worried, fear sef can draw attention. Just do the normal thing n you’ll be fine.

You can be asked to login into your mobile app to confirm you’ve the pof you claim during secondary checking. It’s rare doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

Can spouse in Canada submit more than one job employment contract if she is not getting enough hours from the employer she started working with?. More than one employment letter and bank statement showing deposit from two different employers.

Watch the video again, it’s still about the traveler. Irrespective of the officer you met, if there’s sumtin fishy he/she will go deeper. I remember my POE experience, the last couple the officer attended to took few mins, I asked myself why this long interrogation bcox they were elderly ppl. This same officer only asked for my purpose of travel n wife’s study permit.

For genuine travellers ( and others), you need to prep for possible questions and ensure you have the right documentation. Entry into any country is at the discretion of their border police so to reduce/eliminate the risk of rejection, PREP!
I've seen people on here asking about crazy scenarios e.g. getting a 4 month return flight booking on a '3 day conference travel purpose' and whilst I don't have the numbers on this, I can only believe that some of the harsher encounters people complain about is driven by historical abuse of the visas.
We need to push more accountability on fellow travellers especially around things we can control.
You’ve said it all. We just like to panic for ntn, if you’re clean, let them drill for hours you’ll still be fine. So instead of getting worried which POE is best, just do your assignment and be confident.

You can have both, don’t worry just submit your passport.

My agent sent me a copy of the passport mail request yesterday being 18th July 2023.
I have passed the expected one month time frame usually given for the submission of passport.
Please house, what can I do?
Should I apply for a new visitors visa and explained my reason for not submitting the passport earlier.

Reach out to vfs or ircc, u can claim u couldn’t access the mail for a long time. Don’t mention agent unless he’s a licensed one. It’s ntn serious, people still submit after 30days deadline.
