PoliticsRe: NAFDAC Begins Enforcement Of Sachet, Small-bottle Alcohol Ban by Emmani360(m): 4:46pm On Jan 23
The enforcment should start at the various companies producing these sachets. They were all registered by nafdac and i'm sure they provided their factory addresses at time of registration and that makes the job of nafdac very easy cos going after street vendors while alllowing companies to keep producing is a very stupid and counterproductive approach to enforcing the ban. As we speak, there are such sachet drinks in the market with production date as recent as december when nafdac should have been visiting this companies to ensure no new batch is being produced at their various factories

If you have lived in the north in the 90s and early 2000s, you would have known that these things that are happening today, were inevitable. For whatever reason, the north intentionally criminalised education. You will get to the road and see dozens of small children in their thousands, clutching dirty bowels begging for food. Sometimes, they eat from dustbins, or food thrown away from restaurants. I mean dozens of kids with flies all over. Very dirty, very unkept, barwly dressed. I could not wrap my fat skull around it.

I mean, how do you allow your own child to eat from the same place with streets dogs? How do you not know that without any education and training, they're bound to be criminals and most importantly, how do you allow any religion or preacher to convince you that subjecting your own son to such beastial treatment is the surest path to heavens? I remember when Babangida Aliyu said that almajiri is their tradition and that no one should get involved. That was when they were fighting Jonathan. We are dealing with the consequences of that evil tradition, because all these terrorist groups recruit from the alamajiri hordes..
I was in Maiduguri just this year and it was as if things have become worse from the last time I was there in 2018. The suffering and neglect those almajiri children are passing through is enough reason for them to have no human sympathy the moment they turn to a life of crime.
I once saw one lying on the ground and I thought he had died because flies were entering and coming out of his mouth and nose, his body was not showing any sign that he was breathing and I had to rush and get the attention of my brother-in-law because I don't know how to speak Hausa, and I didn't want to touch him before I go from being just a concerned passerby to being accused of something. My brother-in-law came and called him, lo and behold this boy just stood up on his own and walked away. The whole day I was just wondering to myself, "at what point does someone become so much like an animal that he is no longer bothered by flies entering his mouth and nose while he sleeps".

As long as there are multitude of people out there, subjected to live like animals, there will always be so many of them will accept to do anything no matter how heinous so they can live better.
CrimeRe: Dr Olufunke Fadahunsi Released By Kidnappers by Emmani360(m): 12:39pm On Sep 01, 2024
And fools were here criticizing the doctors for going on strike. All of a sudden, she is released after so many months in captivity.
Goes to show that we are the ones enabling the govt's cavalier attitude towards a lot of issues because we are yet to recognize the power we have when the majority of us unite to demand that things change for better
HealthRe: Strike: FG Evokes ‘No Work, No Pay’ Policy Against Resident Doctors by Emmani360(m): 6:54am On Aug 30, 2024
A lot of fools that have not cared to find out why they went on strike are here talking rubbish.
The strike is not about money but to force the hands of the govt and security agencies to ensure the release of their colleagues that have been kidnapped and still with their captors for months.
Some have been kidnapped right from their place of work and some on the road to official engagements and the government that employed them have done nothing to engage the captors to secure their release.
The strike is a nuisance till your loved one is kidnapped at his/her duty post and his/her employer/colleagues goes on with operations like nothing happened

Just last two weeks, they were still insisting that their fuel will hit the market this august but today, just a week to September, we are now hearing about test run. what if the test run does not go well and ends up exposing some flaws in the process. you only announce a product roll out when all testing has been done and you are already producing.

PoliticsRe: Urgent Message For President Tinubu - Dele Momodu by Emmani360(m): 7:50am On Jul 19, 2024
There is something I kept saying during the last presidential election, I told everybody around me that I'm voting Peter Obi and that is not because I believe he will wave a wand and things will just turn for good, in fact, I told the people that knowing the extent of damage that the Buhari's govt have done to our economy, that things will actually get a bit worse for us for a while before we can reap the fruits of any good policy he will introduce which is actually why I don't criticize this govt on every policy cos I believe while a lot of their policies are just chasing shadows, some are actually the right policies that will yield fruits later and are policies Peter Obi himself would have actually introduced.

All that being said, I still believe that Peter Obi would have been a better president cos with him, I don't believe we will be seeing the level of wastage of "scarce" resources we are seeing in this government especially among Tinubu's cabinet members.
We won't be seeing blatant act of corruption fly without people losing their job (Imaging the minister of information releasing a fake visa application website that was crafted to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians that want to go to Dubai, and nothing is made of it).
We won't be seeing white elephant "legacy" projects guzzling money that would have gone to reviving profitable industries and revamping the important roads and rail system that will efficiently drive our economy.
We won't be seeing our only functional refinery struggle to get crude that we export from other countries (the same treatment that was given to CBN would have been given to NNPC).
of course, his govt will still have short comings but we won't be told to drink water while those in govt drink rare and expensive wine and talk about how they will win again in 2027.
I do not exonerate the Goodluck and Buhari administration from the mess we find ourselves but it's time this govt start being accountable cos a near efficient national passport process and good roads in Abuja can't be the only thing we have to go with

PoliticsRe: There Are Over 277 Guns Around National Assembly – Senator Jimoh Ibrahim by Emmani360(m): 8:54am On Jul 04, 2024
There is no such app in Nigeria.
This reminds me of years ago when people use to install app for face id or fingerprint unlock on a phone that doesn't have the hardware for such and then believe they are unlocking their phone with their face or fingerprint.
What the senator has on his phone is just a gimmick sold to him by someone way more intelligent than he is.
Guns do not emit any signal that can be intercepted and used to determine its presence and position and even if they start to put that in guns, it will require developing and incorporating a hardware for the detection of such signal into new phones before a phone can start to do that.

The only way an app can come close to estimating the number of guns around you is if there is a solid database of all legal gun bearers in Nigeria and all those gun bearers are required to have a software installed on their phones that will prevent them from ever switching off their gps and at all moments update their approximate current location to a central server before they are issued with a gun or gun license.
The problem with this is that it 100% impossible to implement cos there are many loopholes that can't be covered

PoliticsRe: Sultan: Always Verify Your Facts Before Reacting – Sokoto Govt To Shettima by Emmani360(m): 8:06pm On Jun 25, 2024
He didn't verify because that would be wasting a big opportunity to insert himself in the conversation and this is the kind of opportunity politicians from the same stuck as him love to capitalize on so as to draw more following to themself. The news or gossip about a rift between the governor and the sultan is already out there in the ears of so many so by saying what he said, he has automatically put himself in the good book of Northerners, especially those from sokoto that are in opposition to what is said that the governor is planning which will likely be in the majority.

What difference will selling out of Nigeria and buying into Nigeria have, if not increased Transportation cost which may be citizen's gain.

how about people whose survival depends on hustling under this scorching sun?
Jobs like brick layers building under the sun, those who sell or hawk in the open.
How do they survive?
I swear, they are really trying.
I have seen keke riders, stopping to buy a gallon of water and will proceed to just pour it on their body and on their keke seats
Today I saw a wheelbarrow pusher, cooling the handle of his wheel barrow with Satchet water just so he can be able to hold it
TravelRe: Maiduguri 45°c: Fire Service Sprays Cool Water To Mitigate The Harsh Weather by Emmani360(m): 10:00am On Apr 08, 2024
I'm currently in Maiduguri and seriously I don't know how this people are able to fast in this harsh weather. I drink more than half bag of Satchet water every day and yet I wake up every morning with a very dry mouth and throat, how they go for hours without taking water blows my mind.
If you enter keke or car with no A/C here, it will just feel like you are sitting inside a mild air fryer and I just can't help but imagine how painful your death will be if someone locks you inside the trunk of a car here.
Yesterday I nearly burnt the sole of my feet by stepping outside on the interlock barefooted just for a few seconds and yet I see almajiri boys walking around with no slippers and I just wonder how hardened the sole of their feet must be
As early as 7am some days, every metal object outside is already very hot to touch and the one that shocked me was when I entered the gen house, this gen house is positioned in a way that the sun does no touch the gen directly but the sun was able to heat up the concrete roof so much that the air inside was hot enough to heat up the gen.

The fact that there are habited places hotter than Borno state is scary and funny enough, it was extremely cold when I arrived here in January, cold enough that the windows and door of my room was always shut and I forgot how hot it was the last time i was here years ago
PoliticsRe: NERC Fines AEDC ₦200 Million For Violation Of The New Tariff by Emmani360(m): 3:02pm On Apr 05, 2024
FreeStuffsNG:
Great intervention. Though that fine is too much in my opinion. They can report the officials to EFCC and recommend them to be sacked or suspended from work for 6months without pay. It's when both the individuals and their company are punished that there can be sufficient deterrent.

Individuals committed that infraction so they should be held liable as well.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
You’ll be surprised at how much they have already made in the few days they implemented that and how much they have been making from other illegal stuff they do at the expense of consumers so they deserve that fine and more.
The NERC handled it well, government does not have the time to be going after individual workers within a private company unless the money went into their pockets, they just have to sanction and fine the company massively and the company’s board or owners will transfer the aggression to the workers that allowed the illegality to occur and that will deter others going foward.
Most times the company’s board or owners will even be aware of the said illegality but because money is coming in, they will turn a blind eye and when they finally get fined, they will look for scapegoats to sack

Even if you're "enjoying" just 6hrs electricity per day, they'll still classify you as 20-24hrs band A so that they can triple your tariff. They're all scammers.
Exactly what I told someone that was saying, she is not affected.
Discos that do as they like and get away with it, have they not been told that estimated billing is illegal yet they continue with it and make outrageous estimates for some areas.
Have they not been told that metering should be free for consumers but consumers are still made to pay and they never get the refund. Imagine paying for a meter they will still claim as their property
PoliticsRe: Pan-yoruba Urges Southwest Nigerian State Governors To Establish O’odua Airlines by Emmani360(m): 6:08pm On Apr 03, 2024
No govt in Nigeria should have any business going into business if they don’t have plans to immediately concession the business to serious reputable private company once it’s up and running cos that business will never be profitable, it will just be leaking money from embezzlement here and there and they will keep on pumping more money into it till it becomes impossible to sustain.
Planes will not be properly maintained or repaired cos someone will want to chop money from every given opportunity. If they map out 10mil to change some parts that cost maybe 3mil for the original, they will still go ahead to buy a substandard part for less than 2mil and nobody will talk cos everybody is doing something shady in his/her corner and before you know it, you have an airline that is losing money with fewer functional planes than when it started
