Companies like Apple, Amazon, Google and Meta are immune to pesky things like lawsuits. Even from an entity as powerful as the US government.

First of all, they have an army of HIGHLY COMPETENT attorneys who live for legal warfare. They are paid FAT cheques to take the law and flog lawmakers with it.

Apart from their legal teams, Apple has a HORDE of customers whose devotion to them can be likened to that of religious extremist.

People sleep OUTSIDE in American weather just for a chance to get Apple's latest gadgets.

Plus, the people who have shares in Apple are movers and shakers of the US economy. They are not to be bleeped with.

For instance, companies like Berkshire Hathaway owns APPLE shares worth about $161B. For context, all the dollars in the Nigerian Foreign Reserves is just $34B. Despite the INSANE padding, Nigeria National Budget is about $19.6B.

BH has $161B in Apple.
BH has an ENORMOUS power in the US stock market.
And it's not even the only one.

This entire lawsuit is a joke.

The day I realized that some companies are bigger than the US company is the day I watched Mark Zuckerberg's testimony before the US Congress.

Mark REFUSED to answer any question straight.

If they ask "What is A?", Mark will reply with "I think Jerry from Tom and Jerry is gay".

All attempts to force him to give a straight answer were met with a variation of "go fuuuck yourself".

Now consider the fact that Apple is 200% BIGGER than Meta and you'll begin to understand why this lawsuits is just bored politicians looking for some short-lived excitement.

Firstly, even ordinary citizens have gone to congress and made a fool out of them, just don't ignore a subpoena or perjury yourself while answering their questions.
Secondly, even their dedicated customers are happy with some of the cases that are brought up against Apple cos it brings flexibility to the phone that is loved but hated for it's strict environment
Finally, apple have lost cases.

Apple have lost a lot of patent cases, even the ones brought by small companies and some apple watch are currently banned in the use by the US International Trade Commission

They were compelled by the EU to adopt type-c charging port, they contested it and lost
Just this month, I received an update notification that said something about third party app store and I had to go and check online and I found out they also lost their contention against EU's stand that they should allow third-party app stores.
And now all phone manufacturers big or small are being told that they will have to go back to using easily removable batteries on their gadgets if they want to continue selling in the EU.
No matter how big a company is, any govt can humble them if it decides to but no govt will want to cripple a company that has much of it's operation within the country and employ large number of people and companies understand this so most times they will break the law to make huge profits, they will be taken to court by the govt or different entities and they can decide to settle out of court or go on with the Trial and even when they lose they will gladly pay the stipulated fine cos the profit they made from breaking the law far exceeds the fine and money they spent in court

Are you sure you weren’t part of the out of school children during your childhood.
By official estimates of states population for 2019, Anambra and Imo were 14th and 17th respectively and had bigger population than some of the states with high percentage of out of school children, even kebbi was 18th and sokoto was not even much bigger than Anambra so having a bigger population is no excuse.
They both have more population than some states and did more to ensure more of their people went to school while other states that have more population than the two now made sure they had more of their people out of school
Next time just congratulate the states for taking education serious and move on

I have been there, the pain is terrible.
The pain is due to stimulation on nerve ending inside the tooth that is now exposed inside that hole, the will just clean out the inside of the teeth and fill it with a composite material and then reshape the tooth to how it was but make it clear you don't want amalgma feeling as it is silver in color and might be noticeable unless you don't care about that

Some people are just stupid from birth, so because soludo's opinion does not tally with your own, you want to pretend like he is not working and I'm sure some of you were among those that sang Obianos praise for 8 useless years.

Let me start by saying that I voted for ozigbo and not soludo during the governorship election and I voted for Peter obi during the presidential not because I'm igbo but because I believe he would be a better president and if someone like Ifeanyi uba, Andy uba or orji uzo Kalu should contest for presidency, there are a lot of yoruba and hausa people I'll vote for before I think of voting for those three but I know there are igbos that will vote for an incompetent person just because he is igbo.

I don't even think most of you are intelligent enough to analyze governance. Is soludo perfect?, no, there is room for improvement but he is really trying.
Soludo has done the works he has done without burrowing even when the house approved loans for him in 2022, he still didn't take the loan and I watched his 2024 budget presentation where he said, they will only borrow to fund projects that will pay off its loan not to build roads that won't have toll gates and that's how you run and leave a sustainable govt for the next governor.
An IPP is an example of such project that can pay off its loan and i hope he will borrow and partner with the private sector to build one.

Soludo will decide to dualise a high traffic road that doesn't requires extensive amount of demolition and people will rain curses, he will decide to reconstruct a low traffic road and maintain it as single lane to avoid much demolition and people will still complain
He will decide to demolish and move a market away from city center to reduce the traffic congestion that comes with it and goats will be bleating up and down that he has committed sacrilege and if he decides not to do that, they will say he doesn't know how to structure a modern city.
He will decide to stop trading on roads and indiscriminate parking along busy roads and people will complain that his thugs are destroying their business, is the road meant for selling newspapers and fruits?
If He decide now to adopt a proper waste collection and disposal mechanism and strictly enforce payment of waste levy from businesses and households, people will still protest but they want a clean environment. Why not ask you relatives and friends leaving in civilized country if they do not pay for waste collection even after paying huge taxes to govt

The only governor that has done better solid roads in anambra is Ngige, even during Peter Obi's tenure, 70% or more of the total roads done was done with zero or very poor quality stone base but all the roads I have seen being built by soludo, stone base is being adopted because the amount of rain we get in southern Nigeria demands such but we all want to crucify him because his views differs from the opinion you think every igbo man should have.

EFCC stand for ECONOMIC and financial crimes commission. Smuggling of food outside the country when the border is suppose to be closed is an economic sabotage which is an economic crime so it's still within the jurisdiction of the efcc to intervene if the customs are just collecting money and turning a blind eye. The efcc itself is as corrupt as the customs but hopefully maybe with efcc stepping in and increasing the number of agencies to bribe before you can smuggle out stuffs, people will chose to sell their products within Nigeria which will increase supply and reduce price.
I'm currently in Maiduguri and previously, almost every day, egg is loaded up close to where I am and sent to Cameroon cos they make more money selling it to them but no single truck has been loaded here in like 2weeks so I think it's getting harder or more expensive to smuggle out stuffs

The awakening taking place in Northern Nigeria is heart warming. Tinubu has succeeded in uniting the northern Christians and Muslims with bad Governance and mismanagement of the economy, they have now realised that bad leadership affects everyone irrespective of their faith.

I'm not from umunze but i spent many weekends in Umunze last year and I can tell you that the market needed to be moved.
To construct the road in my village, they demolished our fence even though the fence was built way back during Peter obi's tenure when they have built the drainages but they now came under soludo and decided to demolish the drainages and increase the width of the road , yet we felt no anger cos it was a welcome development that the road is finally being constructed.
You want anambra to be a state with well planned cities but you don't want markets that cause traffic jams in city centers on market days to be relocated, you want good roads but you don't want houses that encroached on where is meant to be part of the road to be demolished, you want basic amenities but will rather not pay tax and you will rather not pay levy for waste disposal.
Maiduguri as a capital City has more double lane roads than the whole of anambra and you think it won't take demolition to bring anambra to that level.
You just don't want sanity in the state and I like it that soludo does not give a damn what toes he steps on cos he knows anambra people don't give a shit about the opinion of any big man and he knows it's the people that will decide their governor, not the church, not the elites and his works will speak for him.
Soludo has his flaws like any human and his govt is not perfect, he might not be doing his best but he is doing good and I didn't even vote for him, yes Ozigbo got my vote but I will be voting Soludo next time so he can see through the works he has started and Ozigbo can wait.

Very biased and stupid write up. Obiano built 3 flyovers in months? , flyovers that were built more like a retaining wall and lack the structural integrity you will see in a proper flyover. This is why it drives me nuts when people open their mouth to accuse other countries of sucking Nigeria. Our govt is just useless, from Obasanjo to Goodluck and then Buhari.

Why do we have to wait till it's too late to give attention to sectors with very big revenue generating potential. Each govt enters and keep their focus on oil when the world is trying to move away from fossil fuel.

Nigeria would have stood to greatly benefit from this Russia-Ukraine war had we invested heavily in gas but we didn't even when we have one of the biggest gas reserves in the world.

Didn't even know we had lithium, something so important to the whole going electric that the western world is pursuing and we are not investing to make it a viable sector in our economy.

We will wait for the foreign companies to come and bribe their way into the whole sector and make huge profits without investing to maintain our environment then we will come and start casting blames on govts doing better for the people in their countries.

Saudi Arabia has oil but they are fully in control of their oil through Saudi Aramco which is among the top 5 biggest oil companies in the world but look at NNPC

Our greed and incompetent leaders is our problem not interference from foreign govts
