The Kenyan police has been granted an order of detaining a woman whose lover died during coitus at his house in Dandora, Nairobi.
It was gathered that Joyce Warimu’s lover fainted and died instantly while on the act.

After police searched his house, they found assorted drugs and medical reports.
Josephat Wafula, the detective who is following up on the matter told a court in Makadara that they are also waiting for the suspect’s medical report and autopsy of the deceased.

Joyce Wairimu will now be detained for 14 days after the court granted the prosecution team’s request.

The woman who is being investigated for suspected murder will be held at Kayole Police Station.

A Nigerian human rights activist named, Kenechukwu Okeke has been a significant subject on social media after he said he would sue international media body, CNN, for investigating the lekki massacre.

Ekohotblog recalled that CNN had revealed in a 5:50 minute video what happened on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki Toll Gate.

According to the CNN report, lives were lost and several others injured, which counters the government’s claim that there were no lives lost at the scene.

Shortly after the video went viral on Twitter, Kenechukwu Okeke took to his page condemning the act.

According to him, it is preemptive and contemptuous to discuss, counter, or conclude on any testimony placed before any tribunal established by law.

Okeke added that it is all an attempt to ridicule the nation and the sovereignty of the judiciary panel.

He noted that because of this, he would initiate criminal contempt proceedings against all the @CNN staff (without any exception) for deliberately ridiculing the majesty of the courts or any tribunal established by law in Nigeria.

Dana Air on Tuesday relaunched flight to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Dana Air is starting with one daily flight from Lagos to Enugu at 7.30, Enugu to Abuja at 9.05, Abuja to Enugu at 12.25 and Enugu to Lagos at 2.15 daily with a plan to increase frequency in the coming weeks.

The State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uguanyi who received the Dana Air management led by the Chief Operating officer Obi Mbanuzuo on a courtesy call commended the airline for its decision to restart flights to the airport, saying it would improve the state’s economy.

Escapees from the two correctional centres in Benin City, Edo State, have reportedly been sending threat text messages to policemen who investigated and prosecuted their cases.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Johnson Kokumo, made the revelation on Saturday, adding that one of the escapees killed a prosecution witness from his village.

Kokomo said his men were making efforts to restore normalcy to the state, noted that three officers shot on Friday by hoodlums were recuperating.

He said,“You can imagine what it means when three police stations along Sokponba Road are destroyed and burnt, and patrol vehicles destroyed in several other parts of the state capital.

All the officers in these stations now operate from the headquarters.

“The #EndSARS protest was hijacked by hoodlums and it took a violent turn in the state and prisoners were set free.

What do you expect? Some of these escapees have been sending threat messages to policemen who investigated and prosecuted them.

One of the escapees convicted for murder killed the prosecution witness that same day in his village but he was rearrested immediately.

“Everybody must be part of the restoration of sanity. People who know these escapees should avail us information about them.

I am assuring you that we are not sleeping but with what has happened to the police in Edo, some of these hitches are expected.”

The new INEC acting chairman Ahmed Mu’azu has sworn-in Joseph Chukwuemeka as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

Popular Zimbabwean businessman and socialite, Genius Kadungure, popularly known as Ginimbi, is dead.

The businessman died in the early hours of Sunday, November 8, in a road accident, while on his way home from a friend’s birthday party.

Eye witness said Kadungure was returning home to Domboshava, just outside Harare, after celebrating a friend’s birthday at around 5AM when his Rolls Royce had a head-on collision with a blue Honda Fit on Borrowdale Road.

The House of Representatives Committee on FRSC made the disclosure during the corps’ 2020 budget performance and 2021 budget defence, on Thursday in Abuja.

The Chairman, Akinfolarin Mayowa, explained that the 1992 Act of FRSC allowed the corps to carry guns, NAN reports.

Mayowa said the implementation had become necessary to ensure laws were obeyed and to allow the FRSC function effectively.

He disclosed that the committee would meet with Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and also write to President Muhammadu Buhari to implement the Act.

An ex High Court Registrar, Mr. Joseph Etefia Udoh has been sentenced to four years imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Kaduna for embezzling N80 million deposited in the court by a litigant.

In a statement by ICPC spokesperson Mrs. Azuka C. Ogugua, the court detailed Udoh’s conviction.

According to the statement, the court has ordered the forfeiture of all assets seized from the convict and be sold by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to recover the looted cash.

The journalists and students had been detained in connection with 19 different cases over the past four years, lawyer Ramadan Mohammed said.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu has revealed that a purported fake news that emanated from Ughelli community of Delta state, sparked up the #Endsars protests across the nation.

Adamu disclosed this in an emergency security meeting with Governors of the 19 Northern states and some first-class Emirs in the region on Monday November 2.

According to Adamu, the Ughelli incident occurred after operatives of Operation Delta Safe; a state government sponsored joint security outfit comprising of the military, police and other security agencies, while on routine patrol around Ughelli Township accosted a Lexus SUV.

Mrs Christy Efede, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Efe Samtex Pharmacy Ltd, has reportedly died eight days after she was released by abductors in Delta State.

Ekohotblog reported earlier that Mrs Christy Efede was ambushed and abducted by gunmen at around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20 in Warri.

She was said to be hypertensive, had other underlying health conditions and suffered a partial stroke.

It was gathered that Mrs Efede was released on October 27 and reunited with her family after paying an undisclosed amount.

Sadly, she died around 11:00 p.m on Monday, November 2. According to reports, her sudden death could have been facilitated by a lack of continuation of her daily medication while in the custody of her abductors.

A 28-year-old Nigerian, Miss Kemi Najeeb who hails from Ikire town in Osun State has appealed to the Nigerian government to come to her rescue in Oman where she is being held in captivity.

The President, Journalist International Forum for Migration (JIFORM), Mr. Ajibola Abayomi, narrated Kemi’s situation in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.

Abayomi stated that Kemi left for Oman in November 2016 in search of greener pasture after being talked into a deal by a close friend.

Upon arrival in Oman, her host seized her passport and other vital documents to retain her service as a housemaid.

According to reports, the fire started at about 1am on Monday morning Elohotblog learned.

Many workers who resumed, sat outside in groups as they couldn’t gain access into the building. Chairman of the Ondo State Radiovison Corporation, Kunle Adebaýo, who was at the premises to ascertain the level of destruction said he was informed about the fire at 1am.

Adebayo said, “I came here at 1:30am and saw the raging fire.

Nobody could access the place. We watched as the fire spread to the four buildings. We thank God no live was lost.”

A Nigerian man simply identified as Kingsley shares  heartbreaking story of how he was shot on his leg by a police man.

Kingsley said he lost his leg after he was allegedly shot at by a police officer, two months after his wedding.

According to him, the gunshot wound resulted in his left leg being amputated. However, he did not disclosed the identity of the police man and where the incident took place.
