darqly:

I was just going to tell you to ask your mum as well. But seriously, does the pay matter that much? I know someone who took a drastic cut in pay to continue flying- he now flies for NIPOST. I'm gonna get my wings soon as i save enough to quit my present job. It's more of a passion, and some glamour to be a pilot not really the pay anymore.

yes but the problem is, she will tell me how much pilots in her company earn - which is from N5m-N15m depending on their position and years fo expirence - however, I wanted to to find out from a broader range of people in order to find the OVERALL average.

But you guys are right, the money doesnt really matter and just like your friend DARQLY, if there was a pay cut, im sure i will still be flying!

It is a sin and an abomination! This is Western culture coming to Africa. Disgusting! angry
Your RIGHT!, keep westernised flaws out of Nigeria. Its not needed. Its bad enough that these ghanian actors and acresses are doing CRAZY things in nigerian movies. Simply ruining something that was good.

Business / Re: Uk Charity Planning On Setting Up In Nigeria - Advice Needed! by emmanuel93(m): 8:09pm On May 25, 2010
well our family actually had links in the government. However, You can book a meeting with one of the government associates very easily. BUT!, you have to be very organised. ensure that you have a business plan, done market research, DONE EVERYTHING! if not, they wont take you seriously. It will also help if you have past expirence with a charity or social work. But if everything is in order, you can definately get government contact detalis from ANYWHERE, even the internet.

Obviously, you wont get straight to the govenor, but one of the associates will help. You can probably book a meeting with someone or something like that. HOPE IT HELPED! AND GOODLUCK WITH YOUR CHARITY!!! smiley smiley smiley
Business / Re: Uk Charity Planning On Setting Up In Nigeria - Advice Needed! by emmanuel93(m): 3:12pm On May 25, 2010
its very easy K,
Im places like lagos with such an AMAIZING governor and administration, going to the government for support will always help. The govenment will ususally help charities in their development process. NIGERIA NEEDS CHARITIES so your contribution will be aknowledged and appreciated by the Lagosian Governor who is an amaizing man and is very westernised in thinking. Unlike many leading Nigerian politicians, He is in the job to help Nigeria grow and not for the money.

My sister actually started a charity in nigeria and with his help, the charity is very much in great shape. He contributed N2m to it. Though that is little, every little helps and many other governments wont. Now she has a manager there and two social workers working there. She actually has a family here in London so only occasionally travels to Nigeria. You would be wise to follow her footsteps, the lagosian government are quite nice people, lol

well, thanks all for yor input, i think the wisest thing for nigerian lawyers to do is, as said before, form a union and oppose to such things, whether university is a means and not an end, nobody that practised for YEARS should be earning anything that little!!! as I said , MY HOUSEKEEPER WHO DIDDNT EVEN GO TO SECONARY SCHOOL EARNS N20k, THESAME AS LAWYERS!!!! thats just SICK! undecided undecided
