Jerrygotswagg:It's okay. Go ahead bluenest is upgraded platform of stanbic. I hope you are using the first link of my signature. |
NL1960:You know them, they don't like investors one bit because most times investors' action reduce their inflow and their target is at stake. |
Larash:Going to the banking hall to open MMF account is not the best choice. They can take as long as they want. MMF is not first priority in the banking hall. Banking and asset management are two different thing irrespective of the fact that both are in the same holding company. Going to the banking hall doesn't have an advantage over those who decide to open account with the link. The best is to deal with the asset management arm directly and that you can do by filling the online form. When you use the online form, your account opens within 24hrs on a working day. Click the first link on my signature to open an MMF account with Stanbic. |
Bossgem:@Bossgem, if you have read most of my posts on a similar case, you will understand that everything is in order. Just as advised by @Uberchic1, wait for the next business day, which is tomorrow, Monday. By the way it works, that payment you made on Friday afternoon is the same as if it were made on Monday morning. For most Fund managers, noon is the cut-off time, so any payment made after that time is regarded as the next business day payment. You will get value and interest from Monday. Please let's note that MMF is not like cash in the bank, value is not instant. There is a need to get confirmation from the collection (custodian) bank. |
Preator:During registration for Stanbic MMF, you can pick tier 1 or tier 3 (Premium). Tier 1 is limited such that you can't have more than 200k in that account, and you can't deposit more than 20k at a time. You need a minimal KYC to open this. Just your ID card. Tier 3 or the premium, as some other fund managers use it, is unlimited, with no restrictions as per the balance and deposit amount. This account requires that you provide full KYC documents - passport photo, ID card, and proof of address. It's always better to pick Tier 3 and provide all required KYC documents so that there be no restrictions placed on your account. Tier 1 is usually for the very low-income bracket, students, etc. It's to encourage investment or financial inclusion. |
Maya30:Yes, I will be available to help. I replied your mail already. You can chat me up. Meanwhile, the account opening form for Norrenberger MMF is attached here. |
Tickles001:Reduce the size of the documents you are attaching, and make sure your network is good enough so that it will go seamlessly. |
Tickles001:You are in the right place. Go ahead and complete the form. Once done today, by tomorrow, you will get your e-account number If you get the account details early enough, you can start investing immediately so that you have value for your deposit the same tomorrow and earn the interest, including the interest for the weekend, but if you get the details in the afternoon, you can wait to start investing on Monday because deposits made on Friday afternoon and Monday morning have value and earn interest on Monday. |
Tickles001:@Tickles001, to open an account with Stanbic, click the first link in my signature, scroll to money market fund, and click Buy now then complete the form. You can call/chat with me using the phone number in my signature |
pluto09:You will be putting yourself at a disadvantage because the companies go with the registrars of their choice. Imagine a stock like Nahco, Presco, Ucap, GTB etc, and you consider their registrars to be "bad" will you forgo investing in them because of their registrars? When it comes to registrars, you just have to manage them and find a way to get what you want from them; some of them are the product of a failed system. If the regulation is strong and well-positioned, they will not misbehave. |
yesloaded:@bassdow is correct. There is no advantage to an investor who has a Stanbic bank account over others who don't operate a bank account with Stanbic. You can run MMF successfully with any bank account. Don't forget the collection account is not even Stanbic. It's UBA. |
BIZNess123:Registrars should be the least considered when investing in stocks. Invest in good quality stocks that give returns on your investment and bother less about the registrars. |
Thomaths:Expense ratio is total annual expenses of the fund express as percentage of the average value of asset managed over the period. Management fee is part of the expense ratio. Some of the fees that made up the total fees are Regulators fees, management fees, trustees and Custodian fees etc. Only management fees goes to the fund managers. |
froshroy:If you are on tier 1 it means your account has been opened and active, to upgrade to tier 3 do well to submit all your kyc documents and wait. Within 5 working days your account will be upgraded. However, even with tier 1 you can invest 200k Maximum with 20k max per deposit. It's normally the tier you pick and the kyc documents you provided while registering that determines the type of account you get. |
Nataba:Come over to Investment One stockbrokers you will be fine. Click the third link in my signature to open an account for free. |
Preator:I want to assume you mean for stanbic mmf On the app redemption limit is 1m On web portal 5m Above 5m use the redemption form, this has no limit |
adedapodvirus001:That could be network issues/system glitch; don't try to do it repeatedly, give it some time, If after that you still have difficulty in withdrawal, contact customer care. |
Rosebloom:The experience you are having is because you opted for your accrued interest to be paid to your bank account. The reduction is not just accrued interest in March, its for January to March. Watch out you will receive a credit alert of that same amount deducted into your registered bank account. Those who opted for reinvestment of interest have since have their accrued interest reinvested on the 31st of March. If you wish to change your option, send a mail to customer care that going forward you wish your accrued interest to be reinvested. It will be effected. This is applicable to all fund managers. However, Stanbic does reinvestment of interest monthly while others quarterly but all managers pay interest quarterly stanbic inclusive. |
kemshade:Of course. Stanbic accepts NIN slip as means of identification and as proof of address. In that case, the address on the NIN is what you should write as your address on the form even if your current address is different. |
Godwinosas5:All the fund managers have been working on the usual end of quarter things - interest payment/reinvestment and revaluation of assets plus the holidays which slow down the process. Most of them are through and some likely by Monday. Once done every process will run normal again. Just be patient, it's not only FBNQuest. |
heavenisreal18:That is the process to follow. For anyone who passes without a written WILL, you will need a letter of administration to claim anything that belongs to the deceased. |
Darkseid:If you deposited in the afternoon of 28th March, 2025 or later, just be patient, the holiday plus end-of-quarter activities will delay some processes. But be assured, all deposits will reflect, and the arrears of accrued interest will be posted accordingly. This is what occurs with all the fund managers, with little differences in implementation time and methods. However, all these are supposed to be concluded by tomorrow, except if the rules as per deposits were not adhered to by investors in that case, send mail and follow up with a call to customer care for quick resolution of any issue. |
owenabuka:If you made transfer with your e-account on that date after noon it suppose to reflect yesterday. I hope it's not with Opay and not also with your ATM card. You can reach them via mutualfunds@stanbicibtc.com |
bharkarh:Check your transaction list. At the end of each month, there is always a subscription transaction equal to the accrued interest for that month. Other Fund Managers do theirs at the end of the quarter. |
Rhyah:I second @Freeman67's yes. This is how all MMFs operate, irrespective of the Fund manager. It's one of the reasons they say capital is guaranteed in MMF investment. |
For all MMF subscribers, Calm down, everything will get clearer between now and Wednesday after the holidays. Interest is earned everyday weekends and public holidays inclusive, If you opted for reinvestment the effective date for reinvestment is today even if it's not posted today. While those that oped for interest payment to their bank account will get paid between now and 7th April latest. The interest earned for 1and 2nd will reflect/posted in your interest accrued account by 3rd April. That is how all MMF works irrespective of the fund manager. |
yungmin:Yes, both the app and the Web portal are available. You can find the account opening form for both MMF and dollar fund attached, or get in touch to sign up for VIP service. My phone number is on my signature. |
jeffdaniel:If the deposit was made before noon, don't worry the accrued interests from yesterday to 31st March will be paid to your bank account or reinvested depending on your choice during registration. Note that any balance in your MMF account earns interest everyday including weekends and public holidays. |
Preator:Invest in Norrenberger dollar fund at 10%+ if you don't have need of naira. Even if you do you can always redeem your dollar when you need it. Get in touch with my number on my signature. |
yungmin:The fund management business of Investment One was sold to GTCO about 3 years ago, which is what birthed GTfundmanagers. Hence GTfundmanagers is the asset management arm of GTCO. In my candid opinion, I think they don't seem to get the business right. I hope they learn fast and know that fund management is different from banking. Please note that it doesn't mean your money is not safe with them if you decide to go with them. All parties to the fund are intact. |
Care4:You don't need to be scared? They are SEC/Govt regulated with all the parties to the fund available, and that is all that matters. |
