Please, is it possible to have two mutual fund accounts (particularly for MMF) with a manager? Specifically for Stanbic IBTC and FBNQUEST.

If yes, will I need to fill separate and/or new forms?

Thank you.
It's possible. Check also the answer to someone that asked similar question. Check page 335 that was 20th Sep. post.

Noted. This redemption form can only be gotten in Stanbic bank? Or can it be accessed online?
You can download it from the Stanbic Asset Management website or send a mail to customer care asking for the form.

Regarding mutual funds, don't always equate Stanbic bank with the Asset management arm of the Holdco. They will indeed tell you to go to any Stanbic bank branch to get the services you need, sincerely if you want to get prompt and good service deal with the Asset management arm directly. Some of the bank staff may not even understand what you mean sometimes when you decide to go through the bank for anything relating to mutual funds. Most times you can even get what you need faster on this thread than going to a Stanbic bank branch.

Am having issues trying to register someone online. At the end of it won't let me submit the final stage. Something pops up at the right saying, Eror [Object Object]

Any idea will help
This has to do with javascript and display issues. You can use a different browser or wait, by Monday give them a call to ask if they received your application because your application may have been submitted, it's just a display issue.

Redemption limit should be per withdrawal
Abi no be so? @emmasoft
This is how it works:

For the app, the withdrawal limit is 1m
On the web portal, it's also 1m by default but you can increase the withdrawal limit to 5m max.

Using the redemption form, it's unlimited. With the form you can liquidate your investment even if it's in hundreds of millions.

So, the amount involved often determines the channel to use for the redemption.

Polchiz:
Why is FBNQUEST MMF yield historically higher than that of Stanbic IBTC?
Rates of MMFs are valued daily and depend on the valuation of the current underlying assets. They all vary and are always in the same range with about 1 to 1.5% difference in most cases, which could be more or less. It's not always a case of one higher than the other. The one that seems higher now can get lower in another period.
Basically, MMF rates are always in a range across the industry.

I am ready to invest, but just wanted to be sure before reaching out.

If I have naira only, how can I go ahead to invest? Will I be charged black market rate for dollar-naira before investing?

Please If you could give more information on this, I will be grateful
The naira deposit is just to encourage those who find it difficult to get dollars for investment. This comes with some sacrifice - the company will give you a rate a little more than the black market and that rate will be real-time ie the day of the investment. Indirectly the investor is asking the company to source for dollars, hence you pay a little more.

However, the account opening which comes first is free.

Like I said earlier, you can get in touch.

Good morning, have gotten the password, if I pay with a card will I be able to input my e account details
It's better to use a normal bank transfer and write your e-account number as narration. If you pay with a card it will take two working days for your money to reflect.

1. Do I need a domiciliary account before investing in a dollar fund?

2. If no, how will I get the dollar if I want to redeem?

3. Can I fund it with US credit card or debit card?

Thank you
1. Yes, you need it. The investment is a dollar-denominated mutual fund, so you need a domiciliary account to receive your money (interest /capital) whenever you want to withdraw or get paid your dividends.

2. The answer is in No. 1

3. Funding can be done via wire transfer or cash deposit into our collection account.
Only transfer or cash deposits of the USD are currently available to fund.

Hello sir, so the money has reflected in his stanbic money market account but no email confirmation of subscription was sent though

Also, when would the interest payments start coming in?
The email is secondary confirmation, there could be network issues but the fact that the money is reflected settles it.

Interest will be accrued in your account. The interest for the day will be posted the next business day, however, if it's not posted it doesn't mean you have lost the interest, the arrears will be posted.

Just watch out by the 30th of Sept, the accrued interest will be reinvested if that is your option or will be credited to the registered bank account.
Interest is reinvested at the end of each month or paid to investors' accounts at the end of each quarter depending on your option regarding your interest during registration or your instruction to the fund manager at any particular time.

You can always monitor how your interest accrues by checking the account on the web portal or using the app.

Could you please comment on the Ghana debt restructuring and Eurobond defaults. What does this even mean for individual investors like you and I? I hope Nigeria will not suffer a similar fate in the near future? Your thoughts
@Gvstavo, in summary to what @emmaodot explained, what happened in Ghana simply means investors will suffer some loss ie get less than what is expected. It can happen anywhere, hence Bonds are classified as medium risk. Sincerely, no investment is risk-free.

Hello sir Emmasoft, my uncle transferred some money to the account around 5PM yesterday. How long will it be posted ? Will he have to call them ? Or it’s automatically done

He sure put his e-account number on the Narration/Remarks/Reference
It's automatically, since his e-account number was used as narration, it will reflect today.

Please note that any deposit made after noon will have value and reflect the next business day. Check the account by the close of business today; it will be reflected. Before then, he will get an email to indicate his subscription.

MMF is a well-structured investment and very safe—no need to be afraid or panic. Your uncle's money is in safe hands.

How many percent of the interest in paid back immediately?
I want to believe you mean upfront interest payment. When you are ready to invest you will get the details of each transaction.

As earlier stated, rates are not static in the secondary market.

I did not get e account.

Immediately I registered, I saw on the screen Invest now, I clicked and input a sum of money
You didn't follow the right and easy process. You will need to hold on because they must first sort your e-account out since that is your Stanbic identity. What you just did is like a case of depositing money in a bank you intend to open an account with. Your money will be floating.

You know we have tried as much as possible to guide folks here. We should try and follow what we are posting and ask questions. I usually give my contacts not for any other reason it's just to guide newbies who may need proper guidance.

You will need to call customer care 0 2 0 1 2 8 0 5 5 9 5 and tell them what transpired.

Please note that your money is not lost. It will be sorted and traced to you when your e-account is settled. Your calling will only fast-track the sorting.

Let's be well-guided. No matter how much we are educated and can use our gadgets, there is always a need to ask professionals what we are trying to venture into.

It's well.
