KarlTom:Check my post on page 8274 on this thread, all you need to know about the status of your holdings in Aradel is there, except the regulators yield to the agitations of shareholders to do otherwise, what you read on that post stands. |
tagonn077:To invest in MMF you don't need to go through a third party since the fund managers themselves have web portal and app to monitor your account. To open stanbic MMF click the first link on my signature to open account for free. When you click the link, pick tier 3 as the type of account. You will also need a utility bill that bears your name or use NIN slip in place of your utility bill that bears your name |
vefexam:The gain is to let you know how your fund is doing as in what you stand to gain for any reason you wish to liquidate at the given price. I'm a sales Rep with Investment one stockbrokers. You have online access to trade live with the web portal or Investment one app. Click the 3rd link to open account for free. |
emmanuelewumi:Exactly what shareholders are trying to point out to regulators. We hope it worked out. Perhaps this Aradel's case will be pioneer to the automatic process. I remember the wahala I have to pass through for my 11 Plc and ASL that was on my NGX cscs to reflect on NASD when the two companies delisted from NGX. I expected the stocks to be on my NASD cscs account automatically but it was not so. I have to go through the process I just described. |
Streetinvestor2:Please note that this process is not stockbrokers process it's the regulators' process. stockbrokers just operates under the regulators process and directives. Like already explained, what is moving from NASD to NGX is the company not your own holdings. All the shares of Aradel as a company will be moved to NGX by introduction on Monday, what that means is that the shares are tradable on the NGX, mainwhile some holdings could still be in paper certificate form or any other place, only the holdings on the NGX cscs account can be traded. Any holdings that is not in your cscs account cannot be traded on NGX even though the company's shares are tradable on NGX. The process described in my earlier post above ie dematerialization is the process of making your holding available for trading on the NGX by making sure your holdings is in your cscs account. As already pointed out, investors are trying to engage the regulators if they could effect automatic movement of investors' holdings to their cscs account without another demat process. |
Movement of stocks between exchanges (NASD TO NGX and vice versa) Using Aradel as an example Please note that the listing of Aradel on NGX on Monday 14 October 2024, will not automatically move your Aradel holdings from NASD cscs to NGX cscs account. It's the company that moved not your holdings. To move your holdings from NASD cscs to NGX cscs, you must do a demat of your holdings through your broker. The process involves you filling a demat and transfer forms and submitting same to your stockbroker. The process attracts a fee. Your stockbroker will in turn send those forms to the registrar of Aradel - Coronation. The registrar sends your holdings to cscs Plc who in turn credits your NGX cscs account. This process takes some time depending on all the parties involved. So if you wish to sell the Aradel you bought on NASD this week or at any time, this is the process you have to pass through. The same process occurs if the movement is the other way round e,g 11 Plc from NGX to NASD. The above is the process as of Friday 11th October, 2024. If the regulators have changed it due to some request by investors, it will be confirmed in the days ahead. Let's be well guided. If your holdings is currently on NASD and your NASD cscs is with Investment one, kindly contact customer care for a guide. |
vefexam:This is what happened, for a price based mutual fund like the NDF, the amount of dividend paid per unit is always deducted from the current price of a unit of the fund. This is the industrial practice, it's just like stocks when companies declare dividend, at mark down dates, the dividend per share is deducted from the current stock price. |
Don't let your money be relaxing while you work rather make your money work hard while you relax Invest in low risk investment options with Norrenberger see attached rates and account opening form.

godlyguy:Trading on NASD App You can't use your cscs details on NGX to trade on NASD. To trade using the app, first open a NASD csc account with any of the stockbroker that has NASD license, then download the app and while registering on the app, provide your NASD details not NGX details. NASD will contact your stockbroker to confirm your identity, once that is done, you will have access to trade on any NASD stocks, you fund your account directly to the app and do your buy/sell; any trasaction done will be sent to your stockbroker and be captured in your NASD inhouse account with your stockbroker. Trading on NASD is linked with your stockbroker at the backend. To open a NASD cscs, click the 3rd link on my signature to complete the online registration. However, immediately you complete the online registration, send a mail with your full name to inform the customer care that your registration is for NASD because the default is NGX cscs or you can contact me to send NASD account opening form to you. |

emmaodet:Pa Emma said it all. Let's understand that to a very large extent the money in MMF is safer compare to what you have in MDBs so long as the fund manager and the product is SEC regulated. If commercial bank goes under according to NDIC, it's a max of 5m you have as guaranteed, but if a fund manager goes down you will only have a change of fund manager nothing happens to your investment. The former union trustees mixed fund is now with capital express with all investors' money intact. |
Mayu77:You can open NASD cscs account with investment one stockbrokers. Click the third link on my signature to register. However, after submitting the form, kindly send a mail to the customer care to inform them that the registration is for NASD not for NGX. This is very important otherwise by default they will open cscs for NGX or contact me with the phone number on my signature |
SAK:Quantum Zenith Securities is not the same as Quantum Securities, they are two different companies not related in any way. The Quantum Megaealth is referring to has closed shop as stated. They used to be around Alagomeji, Yaba before they went under. I have helped some of their customers to move their stocks to Investment one. In fact one just contacted me this night for same purpose. |
Gadgetking:As the name implies automatic save is a feature that enable you to automate your regular top up so that you don't need to be manaully doing transfer anytime you wish to top up. It's achievable if you plan to top up regularly at a particular date. it's just like giving your bank a mandate to make payment on your behalf. |
leks4sure:Some Basic things about Dollar funds Please note the following about the dollar fund in general the Stanbic and Norrenberger dollar fund in particular - It's in the medium-risk category of mutual funds /investment - it's not the same as MMF - Your capital is not completely guaranteed as it's with MMF. That means one can lose capital but it's not common especially if you have a long-term view - its price depends on the underlying asset which basically Eurobonds with varying prices - the minimum holding period is 6 months. - Everything about the investment is in dollars and must be by transfer. - Having a long-term in view is the best way to benefit from a dollar fund. - the major advantage is that it helps to hedge against inflation and devolution of local currency (naira) I prefer the Norrenberger dollar fund because it has a better rate. currently 9.48% Stanbic is 7%+ Norrenberger also accepts dollar cash deposits. They can also accept naira during the deposit, but the conversion rate is at their rate on the date of the investment. |
Hopez456:Yes, it's possible. However, ask the depositor to send you the transfer evidence and the account holder in turn send the evidence with the registered email to stanbic customer care. |

vefexam:It depends on the mutual fund you are investing in. Mutual funds are classified base on the underlying assets. Most investors that don't have the time to follow up with the market and want professionals to manage their investment usually go for mutual funds. Personally, I always advice my clients to buy individual stocks than investing in equity base mutual funds because it's the same risk that is involved. Mutual funds like MMF and fixed income are good because it's less risky and very convenient especially if you don't have bulk funds and one need to build the investment gradually. |

megawealth01:No bi only Tony o. all of them wey never enter dey target the list even some folks here dey target am. ![]() |
vefexam:The funds factsheet is always reported in that format from all fund managers. Please note, when it comes to mutual funds the returns is combination of all the returns of the underlying assets. Mode of operations, payment of returns from mutual funds and individual stocks or bonds differs. For example a balance fund that has stocks, money market instruments or even real estate cannot be having same returns as in buying an individual stock or bonds, again, the returns are not paid the same time, Mutual funds have a particular time of returns payment, if for example you have GTCO as a stock, and the mutual funds you are invested in has GTCO plus other assets, you would have receive an interim dividend from GTCO but the fund where GTCO is an underlying assets will still pay dividend say by December or anytime specified for dividend payment. The truth is that most of the assets that you judge to be good enough to invest in is the same assets that fund managers go for with little or no difference depending on the overall objectives and nature of the particular fund. |
