jason123: Even the Apoi Ijaws will not tell you they are Ijaws but Arogbo will. The owner of Sahara reporters is from Apoi! Even the likes of Reno Omokri, will fall in line. A man like ROTIMI AMECHI is will have to choose between the SW and SE. |

Beaf: Dude, I have no ethnic prejudices. I watched with disbelief the way the protest was promoted as a largely ethnic thing and like most educated SE/SS people, rightly see it as camouflaged conon fire aimed at our regions. Several powerful people have made overt and covert threats to deal with our regions once power is transfered; so we have bunkered down to defend ourserlves by any means necessary.
I share all your views about how a healthy system should run, but as you say, Nigeria is phucked. Our only reality today is oil. The peoples unwillingness to break away from it is evident in the illogical demonstrations and deaths in our streets today. It is artificial to suggest that I stop talking about resources, because that is what it is about. When did the Nigerian ever come out to demonstrate about a proper citizen-state contract that guarantees rewards for effort, belonging, and protection of the citizen? Its never happened, but awuf can bring us baying into the streets, because we are pushed by ulterior motives and waved into action by ethnic champions. Its very embarrassing.
I always predicted openly on NL that the demos would amount to nothing because they have a zero ideological footing, its only about immediate satiation of greed and "phuck future generations." Well, left alone, it would break up into open robbery, ra'pe and anarchy; the protesters will soon kill an innocent soul. You wanna bet?
One of the benefits of awuf, is a society that cannot apply itself and becomes progressively shallow thinking and in search of immediate quenching of its worldly desires. That is the bigger picture of the protests. What is SS/SE? The-same way the Northerners formed Hausa/Fulani. Why don't you leave the SE out of your politics . |

If there is no Southern Nigeria, old allies would be formed, ancestry lineages will link up!. Even anioma will join the SE. Uhrobo will follow the Edo peeps. Who will remain in the SS. |

manny4life: What's the hmm all about? I'm not here fighting nor arguing about oil, what I'm arguing about is Settlement and Boundaries on the Economic Zone activity.
Lol, I wish I could, but anyway, time will decide if I do or not. I know, but SE won't have issue. I see a big battle in the Gulf of Guinea. And it will be between the SW and SS. I heard the US positioned a WAR-SHIP there. |
Politics › Re: Heading Towards Arab Spring?: Senators Attacked! by emmatok(m): 12:41am On Jan 12, 2012 |
manny4life: No offense but SW and Norther leaders know this, they know about the governing treaties, Anyway, I'm not here arguing over oil because we in the SE don't have access to water other than through Onitsha port, LOL, you guys have no idea how many times I've looked @ Nigerian Map on Google Earth. In the event of split, all regions should just focus on harnessing their natural resources and NOT go to someone's else else it starts another civil war that will destroy.
Out of control is understatement, it will give the bleeping police "stable grounds" to inflict pain on people, The sooner they adhere to public pleading like me (Please stay away from attacking folks), the better otherwise that will defeat the purpose of the protest. They say a word is enough for the wise, my people say "when you tell the ear, it will not listen, when you cut off the head, the ear follows", food for thought. HMM!!! |

Stop talking rubbish. Or at least go and research before spewing propaganda. The fact is that less than 35% of the Ghanaian population are connected to their national grid, and those who are, do experience power cuts, so they have severe power shortages. And they also have a substantial segment of the population lacking access to clean drinking water and other basic amenities. SO STOP THE PROPAGANDA. HA, another propaganda. You should be have lectured those Nigerian companies leaving for Ghana. You want compare electricity generation in Ghana to Nigeria.? Or the in-fracture in Ghana to Nigeria. The Ghanaians won't feel fuel price increase because they have better alternative to fuel. |

Protests should actually be banned in those areas, because the people are more incensed by boko haram than any stup!d protest for bigotted reasons. Thats where the oil comes from anyway.
Abeg, go back to your failed protest, by tomorrow everybody would have started returning to work.
