ok,let me educate u a bit,the UN law governing territorial water stated that a country which do not have borders directly with the sea but has a body of water flowing from it territory directly into the sea has the right to dredge the river/lake for trasportation purposes without the neighbouring country interrupting them.

You will need the an agreement to do that.

There are no coastal Igbo towns or lands, that's what I mean.

Oga, leave this children to their imaginations.

It's seems they don't understand simple geography.

Yet none of them can show us any Coastal area in SE.

This is where you get it wrong. There is "NO" treaty needed for access to the sea. The only treaty or agreement needed between the south-east and south-south is where the territorial water claim starts and ends ( which I know will be done in a peaceful and civil manner). Other than that, the south-east don't need any port situated in the south-south or Nigeria for that matter.

Lol, its not that easy

kindly check the Map of South America and notice that Bolivia its landlocked, but very close to Peru and Chile.

I marvel at your ignorance. I am from the so called 'south south'. Has that deduced the fact that my community is in Igboland and will remain so regardless of any changes in the geo politics of the current British amalgamation? What's actually your point?[/s]

We are discussing based on the 5 SE States having access to the Sea.

Understand the discussions before jumping in.

The simple answer to your question is "NONE" BUT you need to understand first of all, that South-East only make up 3/5 of Igbo land. The rest were merged into the south-south during state creation after the Civil War.
There are indigenous Igbos on Delta, Rivers, Akwa ibom, Cross river, Benue, and Edo.

The point I am trying to make is that Even If south east Igbos are the only ones to break away from Nigeria, they will still have access to the sea even if the river goes through a Non-South-east territory. The reason is because If a body of water is shared between two nations, that river is an International water. Blocking that river is an Act of war according to the United Nations.

Well look at it this way,

The coastal areas belongs to the SS, why the river is shared between the SE and SS.

If those two regions are different countries.

The SE will have a treaty with the SS to use the Sea.

Because there will be defined boarders(land, aqautic and air) for each country.

SS can't just allow ships from the Atlantic ocean into their country, going to the SE.

No country just with her coastal areas.

To the educated one.

A landlocked state or country is a sovereign state entirely enclosed by land, or whose only coastlines lie on closed seas.

Assuming the 5 SE States forms a country A and all the SS states forms country B.

How will country A get access to the Sea without going through Country B.

Politics / Re: Alison Madueke Vs Buhari Again? by emmatok(m): 12:34pm On Sep 26, 2015
alfred5:
[s]Why Has Buhari and His APC Attack Dogs Quietly Retreated From Attacking Diezani Alison-Madueke?

Why the cowardly withdrawal from the media lynching of the former Petroleum Minister and first female OPEC President?
As you may be aware, Alison-Madueke's husband is Rear Admiral Allison Amaechina Madueke, a retired Nigerian naval officer. He was military governor of Anambra State from January 1984 to August 1985, and then of Imo State until 1986.
The husband of the former Petroleum Minister is a retired General just like Buhari and the whole attacks on his wife by the APC finally came to a head about a month ago.
Madueke booked an appointment to see Buhari and Buhari was happy to see him thinking he wants to come and beg, so they can carry news of their meeting as propaganda as this irresponsible government often does.
When he got to Aso Rock, Madueke warned Buhari over the attacks on his wife.
Sources in Aso Rock say, Buhari was apologizing, that he didn't send anyone to do what they are doing. Madueke said that if they think his wife went to school for nothing they are mistaken. Or that in her 5 years in the petroleum ministry she didn't uncover corruption during Buhari's time, then he is mistaken.
That if he hears one more assault on his wife from Buhari and the APC, in any format, he will personally call a world press conference and expose all their dirty oil deals dating back to the very beginning of discovering oil.
He threatened that when he exposed how the Northern has raped this country's petroleum resources, they can kiss Nigeria goodbye, because the people of the Niger Delta will know the extent of the injustice done to them by Northerners.
People who witnessed this meeting say Buhari was shaking. Begging, that he never attacked Diezani. He never sent anybody to write anything. The man told him off, saying, "But you read those reports that said my wife was running after you in the turmac, that she greeted you and you did not answer her greeting?! Did you disclaim them?!! Did you tell people it did not happen?!"
They said, Buhari was apologizing that Madueke should calm down.
Madueke finished what he had to say and walked out. Buhari's aides were stunned.
Since then, nobody has even tweeted anything about oil, Diezani[/s].

Another fake news.

I thought you. are going to say Maduke revealed Buhari corrupt past in NNPC.

So what is new about threaten to divide Nigeria.

A lot of times ladies do discuss that they don't want guys that are too nice to them, it makes the routine of the relationship to be very boring. You can easily predict your man. You wanna enter the car, he opens the door, he goes to the market to buy food stuffs so you can cook. As much as some ladies relish this, most of them detest it.

Do you know some ladies like it when their man beats them?

I heard a story of a lady in a relationship with a guy somewhere in lagos. She is not yet married to this guy but he beats her like a punching bag. After the beating, the lady will still go ahead to beg him and say "I love him, I love it when he beats me" really!
I'm sure she will also enjoy BDS..M from the guy.

If you pay for 100 leaflet and you were given 50 there is nothing criminal about that so you just have to return to the seller because that means there is a mistake . According to an eyewitness account who sent in the photos, the victim said he went to the FCMB at trade fair complex on Friday, September 11th to buy dollars but the bank didn’t have enough money, so an Hausa man he met inside the bank told him he has 30,000 US dollars and he followed the Hausa man to his office to collect the money. When he collected the money, they went back to the bank where he transferred the naira equivalent of $30,000 into the Hausa man’s account. Whe the victim got home at about 7pm, he was shocked to find out the dollar notes were fake but couldn’t go back to the bank.

So on Monday morning, he went to the Hausa man’s office and told him the money was fake, the Hausa man confirmed it was fake and said he bought the money from FCMB. They went to the bank, laid their complain, but the bank denied giving them the money.

this is why Nigeria is backward .ppl there don't want to do the right thing and you are always looking for someone to push the blame on.so if you buy Panadol from a store and you get home to find out that it was heroine and cocaine that was sold to you, where will you go,the police station or the seller?in this case the fake currencies was even found with the trader and not the Hausa man.now tell me if truly that trader lost 30000 dollrars wont he have reported to the police first in order to forestall the Hausa man absconding if truly he lost that huge amount of money.one simple question which none of you have been unable to answer is why didn't the trader report the matter to the police and get the Hausa man arrested?the Hausa man has an identity and office so what is the interest of the bank in this case? And yes bank managers have ordered arrests of ppl perpetrating crimes WITHIN THE BANKING HAlls OR PREMISES NOT WHEN YOU TRANSACT YOUR BUSINESS AT MR BIGGS OR TANTALIZERS FAST FOOD JOINTS AND EXPECT THE BANK TO DETAIN SOMEONE FOR YOU.

It's seems to me you've not done any business transactions before.

Ok, if request 100 leaflets cheque books from a bank and you got home to discover it's 50 leaflets cheque, yet the bank debited you for 100.

Who do you go to for complaints bank and Police..

You go to the bank first and if the issue is not resolved you take them to the authorities.

When the Mallam too was told about the fake notes, why didn't he go to the police, why did he insisted on going to the bank claiming the bank gave him the money.

Because the mallam knows that his first point of complaints should be the bank.
And buyer knows that his first point of complaints should be the mallam.

That's how issues are escalated and solved.

rye bank is not a police station ,common sense and little brains should have told the the trader that it is the police station he should have gone immediately rather than the bank. Simple common sense should have shown the trader that immediately he noticed that 30,000 us dollars and not naira with him are fake reporting to the police should have been the first idea to cross his mind ,the only reason he may have deferred such will be because he never wanted the police to get involve at. All these argument is very simple
The evidence of a counterfeit money shows a crime had being committed.

Mr, if you pay for goods and services and you suspect foul play, your first complaint should go to the Seller.
If you buy a Samsung TV and your later discover its not original, your first complaint will be at the electronic store you got it from and not the police station.

Even the Police will advice you to meet the seller first, and if the seller is not cooperating then they will take action.

This man did the right thing by contacting the Mallam first and the Mallam cooperated with him by going to the bank to resolve the issue.

And when the bank realized that the fake money is not from them, they should have called the police immediately.

Its part of Banking regulations to handover anyone found with counterfeit currency, to law enforcement agencies.

I have seen policemen arresting alleged criminals inside banking hall, on the orders of the bank.

What the did this case makes them, culpable to the crime.
