I have written several times about the hypocrisy of many Nigerian ladies towards faithfulness of their men towards them but many ladies tend to disagree with me...nevertheless,the stories we read everyday corroborate my stand point..

It was a beautiful Saturday morning, sometime last month being May, i had planned to go to Ikeja computer village to get a new phone , i didn't have any particular one in mind but which ever it is must be a high end android phone with good specs.

There was no other better day to do this than that fateful Saturday, having heard a lot of tales about Ikeja computer village and being a newbie in town I saw it as a great opportunity to explore the market, i got there and saw a lot of shops and boys on the streets beckoning on me to buy their phones, I stopped to check some and walked past some.

I went into slot shop and checked a glossary of their phones available and they all exceeded my budget of 20k for the specs i required, i decided to buy from one of the guys i had met earlier on the streets, he had a Tecno w5 lite which was remarkably new, i immediately fell in love with the phone and haggled the price with him , having just 20k as my budget i made it clear to him, surprisingly he agreed to sell at 20k, fine, he followed me to the bank there where i made an ATM withdrawal , i gave him the money and he gave me the phone, i was busy checking the phone out and making sure everything was working fine when he immediately told me he wasn't selling again as the price was below what he bought it for .

He gave me back my money n i returned the phone to him, and then i left . i walked a few poles n decided to check my money only for me to discover to my chagrin , what i had was pieces of paper cut to the size of money and folded in a bunch just exactly as my money was.
at that point i became agitated , i couldn't believe my eyes, i have just been hoodwinked. I went back looking for him to no avail, sadly i went home, I lost my 20k just like that to an idiot. That bright Saturday turned out for me a very ugly one. Now i have learned my lesson never to patronize road side sellers irrespective of how cheap their wares may be. computer village is rift with criminals nad hooligans. Beware.

Am now ready to answer you. And I will answer you in two parts, for ease of reading.

Part 1:

Someone bought power banks from me and paid some amount. I needed the remaining amount cos that's where my profit was and I needed that profit to pay TITHE.

Then last two weeks, Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to borrow money from my business capital and pay the TITHE, when he pays I can put back. Since I can borrow money from it to buy cloths.

I obeyed. Last two Fridays, I went to a bank and changed the money to brand new very neat notes(I don't pay TITHE with dirty money, cos God said we should not bring anything with blemish to Him and my Jesus Christ was a spotless sacrifice for my sins).

That particular Friday the man told me to bring more power banks. I went to him on Saturday to my surprise he paid up all the money he was owing me and bought two more.

That's the Divine miraculous interventions that follows TITHING.

TITHING is what I have seen, handled, tested and witnessed. Its not a fable to me nor a theory. Its real and I live by it every day.
Its the basics of my personal financial gains and business financial prosperity. Stingy people who claim Christians but find it difficult to obey Jesus Christ or put God first in their purse, who twists Scriptures to support their lack of gratitude and stinginess to Jehovah God and His kingdom, will never understand this.

So you may deceive yourself and others, but not me cos there is nothing you will say against TITHING that will matter to me. I don't need to be answering you, but because of the simple baby Christians you're deceiving, I will never leave you, until I pull down this your stronghold of fallacies.

Moreover, its obvious, you are not born again and the Spirit of God is not actually living in you, because you are reading letters, quoting Holy Scriputes out of context and arguing what you know totally nothing about. YES! Because you said Tithing started as a law under Moses. Not knowing that Biblical TITHING started way back before the law means you know nothing about TITHING.

Allow the Spirit of God to come into you, teach you and lead you. Then read your Bible and allow Him to explain it to you. You will find out you have been reading letters, cos your eyes will open and you will see deep meanings in the verses of the Bible you read.

You don't need all these watered down versions to understand the Bible. All you need is the Holy Ghost.

I pay TITHE because Jesus Christ commands it in MATTHEW 23:23, LUKE 11:42. As far as my Jesus Christ "the Author and finisher of my faith" used His own mouth to command TITHING and says "not to leave the other(TITHING) undone"!!

IF YOU DON'T OBEY AND PAY TITHE YOU ARE A DISOBEDIENT WICKED MAN AND A SINNER.

Any lie and fallacy you're using to defend your stiff necked stingy ingratitude disobedience is inexcusable and a gross deception.

Moreover, Jesus Christ is no longer dead. He is alive today and so are His commandments. All over the New Testament are injunctions to obey the commandments of Christ except you're not a follower of Christ, which I know you're not. Because you can't follow someone you can't obey implicitly.

Here are few:
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Matthew 5:18-19: "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

OP I sincerely agree with you especially in the area of Tithing. Great article.

Because Tithing is a wonderful powerful Christian practice which is still expected today, if done by grace not by obligation ie with a sense of gratitude, gratefulness and thanksgiving.

Appreciating the wonderful loving provisions God has showered into our lives by His mercy.

Since I became born again and started honouring God with my tithes, I don't lay it in the Store of God as a mandatory act of service. But with a willing cheerful heart of thanksgiving and appreciation, sowing it as seed of faith.

Since then I am a living witness of its magnanimous prospering effect. Let me share some with you all.

1) God raised me from selling mangoes to an importer of phone accessories from China. Now I own a small marketing company that raised from zero to 300% within 10months.

2) God rebuked the devours(squirrels) that was uprooting and eating my sprouting corns in my corn farm. When I prayed and reminded Him about His promise of rebuking devourers for our sake.
The corns became the fastest healthiest growing corn in our area. The picture of the corn farm is attached below.

3) I sold an original power bank to someone after two months the person returned it that it has developed fault. I kept the power bank prayed and reminded God His promise of devouring devourers for my sake. Two day later the power bank came back to life and is still working flawlessly today after 5months.

I must say I am impressed by the assumed vastness of your imaginary bible knowledge.

One thumb rule about understanding the Bible is that you don't just read a single verse and pick anything that suits you. Also, if a particular issue seems confusing, reading multiple other verses usually helps.

Whether tithing should be done by Christians is one topic that has steamed various debates across various Churches and so I would not be surprised if we don't reach a single resolve on the topic . A young man once told me when we were debating about speaking in tongues to "do my own and leave him to do his".

Having read all your replies I won't be surprised if you don't change your stance on the topic, but that's OK because in the end judgment belongs to the lord. Besides, you prayed for a power bank that stopped working and it came back to life. what a man of God you are. I have this feeling you are the type who pray for their cars to drive without fuel, who don't take their Generator sets for servicing but rather pray for it. hehehhehe. A. English is quite a funny language .

For Example:
1 Corinthians 16:2
"Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
1. "Let Everyone" surely makes it compulsory as you have rightly noted
2. "As God hath prospered him" Logically, doesn't this mean as you have you give, or you give according to how God has giving to you? Not 10% of whatever you have which would make it tithe.
Like I have said , English is funny, Now let's see 1 Corinthians 16:2 using NKJV

Does that sound like lay by him in a storehouse? which would mean a store house, just like the one in Malachi u referred to.
