*From 300L, you academic calender reads different from all other courses, u can be in 2nd semester while other are on holiday.
*Strike dont stop you, med&surg is nt affectd by ASUU strike
*U take an eXam in 200L of four courses, u are droped if u fail more than two. When you fail one u carry it over to 300L which u must get it dat level 2 continue OR if u failed two, then u repeat 200L
*The four courses 4 d exam above is
Anatomy
Physiology
Biochem
IntegratedSci
*U take ur part2 MBBS exams in 400L(all uni)
Infact if DELSU continue wit deir mode of operatn, it is one of d best college of medcine in 9ja.

ishmael: Polytechnic education is what nigeria and nigerians need presently for economic and technological growth. Unfortunately this is the type of education they look down at.

ishmael: I want to prove you wrong on some of the reasons you gave.

1. No university requires more than 5 credits, so also the polytechnics. some    polytechnics insist on 5 credits too.

2. it has never been proven that UME maths or english or any subject at all is more difficult than PCE maths or english or any other subject. The exams are of the same strength, the only difference is that u do 4 papers in UME and 3 in PCE.

3. Yes, a pass may be accepted in english for some science courses according to JAMB, some polytechnics accept it but most polytechnics still insist that it must be a credit. No social science or biz course will ever accept a pass in english. On the other hand again some universities still admit students with a pass in english or pass depending on the course.

5. Not true, some polytechnics are bigger and well equipped than some universities, so also are the libraries of these polytechnics.

6. Yes, agreed, but how many of these PhD holders and professors lecture undergraduate students? Most of them are there to carry out research and supervise post graduate students. Most undergraduates are being lectured by graduate assistants and Msc holders and may be some PhD holders; this is the same thing that happens in the polytechnics. For you to lecture HND courses you must have a minimum of Msc Degree which means some PhD holders and professors also lecture in the polytechnics. Professor Asiribo (presently HODept. of Statistics, Fed uni. of Agric, Abeokuta)lectured me Experimental Design and non-parametric techniques in the polytechnic while i was doing HND. Dr. Hassan (presently HOD Biological sciences dept, KADSU) was my Biometrics lecturer during my HND.

U're required to perform a test of significance to know if there is actually a significant association btw smoking and drinking using the chi-squared test. Hope u know about "test of hypothesis?"

I am not saying that polytechnic grads are bad bt I am saying that university grads should nt be renumerated equally like poly grads because the training process is tougher just like MBBS & COBES holders cannot receive the same treatment. .

And of which, one of the deforms is most uni grad nt able to perform simple task like fashola's son who cannot change a plug.
Unis hav a problem & that does nt mean poly graduates should be equated to them. . . .

How do you eXpect the same treatment to be given to a roadside electrician & an HND electrical engineer because he is equally creative like him.
However, in dis era of globalization, it is true dat EFFICIENCY ought to be our prime goal.
But the core factors considered in renumeration are:
*lenth of training
*level of training

The descrimination will not stop until polytechnics operate at the level of uni.
For nw no poly is up to d standard of any uni, only yabatech is meagrely up a few uni.
Nt even auchi dat my bro graduated 4rm.
It is even self evident when JAMB & The Senate approves 180 cut off mark for uni & 160 for poly and odas.

Your CGPA is not an average of your semesters work but a sumation of the value <of the Grade x Unit> in semester A and semester B and
dividing by the sumation of the the unit of course offered in both semesters....

To calculate ur GPA:
1) Multiply the grade u got for each course WITH the number of units...
GRADE RATINGS
A-5
B-4
C-3
D-2
E-1
F-0
So, If you got a B in PHY102 which is a 3 unit course; multiply B with Units
i.e it will be 4x3.
Do this for all the courses offered.
2) After doing the Multiplication for each course,
add all the values <i.e the values you got from the multiplication>
3) After the addition in (2) above,
divide ur answer by the total sum of units of courses offered.
4) The answer is ur GPA.

NOTE: FUTO don't repeat past questions,
they pick jamb past questions especially of the 90's
