Suarez you will be meeting the Super
Eagles. I agree with you that your next
opponents, including the Super Eagles,
will be different. The difference is that
the Super Eagles did not concede
superiority to Spain before this
tournament; you did. And, there is no
reason why they should concede given
the records between the two teams at
this level of football.
Another difference is that this is an
African team with an entirely different
brand of football. This brand of football
overwhelmed a star studded Spanish
team in 1998. Nigeria killed off Brazil and
Argentina (your neighbors) en route to
Olympic glory in 1996 with this brand of
football. Your team probably did not
qualify for this Olympic showpiece. Just
recently, Mexico, another team like yours,
scampered to a stalemated game against
Nigeria while under the influence of this
brand of football.
It is foolish of yours to dismiss African
football with the sleight of a hand as you
did. I pray the Super Eagles rises to the
occasion and shame you prejudiced South
American. We already know your
impression of Black people at the English
Premiership. So, we are not surprised by
your bigoted analysis of African football.
We also know that you are still under the
influence of colonialism. That's why you
practically worship Spain; and that's also
the reason you are currently at war with
anything British including its Prime
Minister. It is also the reason you are in a
haste to run from Liverpool to Real
Madrid in Spain not withstanding all the
love they gave you at Liverpool.
But, we will see on Thursday. It's only a
matter of time. I want to know which
players in your team are bigger than the
players of Ivory Coast on a one-on-one
comparison. This Super Eagles demolished
Ivory Coast for your information and
lifted the 2013 African Cup of Nations. It
is the reason they are in this tournament.
Thanks.
Yours Heckler-in-Chief

Eagles still hopeful over Onazi
Nigeria hoping Ogenyi Onazi will join the
squad for the Fifa Confederations Cup
Nigeria are hopeful that midfielder Ogenyi
Onazi will still join the squad for the Fifa
Confederations Cup.
Onazi pulled up with a knee injury in Nigeria's
2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia and
failed to travel with the squad to Brazil.
Team officials said on Saturday, before the
team left Johannesburg, that Onazi who was in
the team that triumphed at the Africa Cup of
Nations in South Africa earlier in the year and
won the Copa Italia with SS Lazio last month,
was still being expected to join the squad in
South America.
However, defender Kunle Odunlami and
midfielder Obinna Nwachukwu, dropped from
the team, flew back to Nigeria on Friday.
Onazi was on the same flight.
With Onazi missing, combative Valerenga
midfielder Fegor Ogude is expected to take his
place in Stephen Keshi's starting team against
Tahiti.

The Super Eagles are now expected to
touch down at their Belo Horizonte base
in the early hours of Sunday June 16 2013
ahead of Monday’s group opener against
Oceania champions, Tahiti. Officials say the
African champions will fly
into Sao Paulo just before midnight on
Saturday – thus
becoming the last team to arrive at the 2013
FIFA
Confederations Cup tournament in Brazil.
Earlier plans Earlier scheduled to arrive on
Thursday, the Super Eagles are
forty-eight hours late after a stand-off with
Nigeria football
authorities on bonuses payable, despite a
mutual
understanding with the team’s Management on
a 50 per cent
cut. A miffed but concerned NFF had promptly
contacted Sports
Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi when players
and officials
refused to leave their Country Club Resort
Windhoek for a
scheduled flight from Namibia to Johannesburg
on Thursday,
thus missing their connection to Sao Paulo
from South Africa. The Sports Minister
immediately contacted the Presidency,
and despite his pledge to personally bring the
balance of the
money to Brazil, Coach Stephen Keshi insisted
his players
would only leave Namibia if the money arrived
in the
southern African nation. Laxity On Saturday, a
first batch from Windhoek to Johannesburg
inexplicably missed their flight, but Team
Administrator Enebi Achor, who was in the second batch, worked hard to
ensure that batch eventually arrivedin
Johannesburg early enough to retain seats on the connecting flight.
-We are all on the same flight. Everything’s
sorted out now,”
Achor said on telephone from Johannesburg.
Planned arrival The delegation flew aboard a
South African Airways flight SA
224, Airbus 340-600 from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo, and are
expected to connect another flight to Belo
Horizonte that
would touch down in that city at 4am Sunday,
June 16.
