yMcy56: 1. I think it's the trading portal from NGX because Morgan and other houses are connected live to it.
2. The fact that your bid/offer is removed from up to down sometimes doesn't mean your first place has been removed or you've been removed from the first place.......I've also had same thoughts before, observed this overtime and realized it doesn't remove the bid from it's original number.
3. Cross deals are responsible mostly for the bid transactions, only the ones sold directly on the floor can get your bids/offers filled....
*This is based on my observation overtime anyway* Very true, once there is an offer at your price on the floor, your bid will continue to get filled, even though you seem to be at the bottom. The phenomenon he is speaking of happens when your bid is partially filled, but then a transaction occurs above your bid price. It doesn't change your real position @ that price, on the floor as Mercy stated. |

If him want buy, simply load up enough quantity you are comfortable with. Stop to dey wait for Q3 result. By first week of November e fit dey late. I think the November run is about to begin this week for Dangote Foods (DanSugar/Nascon) |

We need pull backs... To reload for Santa Claus and the New year,,, Your portfolio can't be bearish if you are well positioned in the " DangoteFood" bus oo. This November na bullish bull o |

jideflash: Ucap had a fantastic result. But refuse to add the comprenhensive income when calculating their EPS. This is to disguise the gains, while their insiders mop up the shares. I suspect a bonus issue soon. Ucap at 15naira is a steal. 20-25 naira is the target in 6months I suspect a bonus issue soon aswell. |

jideflash: Heirs Insurance Group, comprising Heirs General Insurance (HGI) and Heirs Life Assurance (HLA), have announced a record-high 226 per cent jump in Gross Written Premium (GWP), from N6.1 billion in 2021 to N19.9 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2022.
With the strong performance sustained in its second year of operations, Heirs Insurance Group has become the fastest-growing insurance group in Nigeria. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2023/09/06/heirs-insurance-group-posts-n20bn-revenue-in-2022 Good one for UCAP since it owns a part of this bussines Thinking also of how the Head of the UCAP's microfinance bank/consumer finance (Richard Akindele) is purchasing UCAP shares, One can only infer that there might also be a very good growth/performace from his arm of the business (i.e. consumer lending & co.) I see an increase in the dividend for FY23 |

emmanuelewumi: Smart people know that it is good on the long run to convert their active incomes made through salaries, trading profits, commissions etc to Investments or ventures that will give passive income like rents, dividends, royalties, coupons, interests etc This statement above is the summary of my investment jouney and mehn, it is the best financial advice anyone can get. Plant trees whose fruits will ripen & drop off in seasons, without your active participation Consistently use your active income to buy assets that produce passive incomes This is how you achieve true freedom. |

Since he opened my eyes I have been thinking on how massive wealth can be made by being smart “Most people who have been really successful in the stock market say the same thing – that they’re not smart enough to get into the market and out of it. So they tend to remain more or less in the market at all times.” – Walter Schloss |

yMcy56: I understood the need to diversify, that's not really my point, but just curious because of the way some were dumping choice stocks, that hope it's not out of ignorance. They may come back to buy higher later. Investment objective matters (short term/speculative? vs long term? cashflow?). It is understandable that with the news of interest rate going up will encourage profit taking. I'd encourage that for any short term plays. Where as "longterm/Dividendgrowth" investors will be busy piling up cash, hoping and watching patiently to mop up great businesses at bargain prices. "Patience" will be key. |

yMcy56: Talking about the raised interest rate to 13%, don't we think there'll be less borrowing and NGX be more attractive??
If TB rate increases, can it still match the ROI on some selected stocks coupled with possible price appreciation Y-O-Y view? While looking at the returns, always consider the risks. A well diversified portfolio is always helpful. |

emmanuelewumi: From my calculation, N9 million every year for the next 20 years @15% grew to N1 billion.
I stopped calculating, the initial plan was to get the value in 30 years, but had to stop at 20 years.
I want the results from others if they will tally with mine 9m every year for 30years @15% will result in N4,499,612,265. (i.e. 4.5B). The joy of compounding becomes very very pronounced from year 20 to 30. |
