Hi house, Sorry for your time I really need advice on what car to buy as I'm not really too knowledgeable on certain things as regards car issue. My max budget is 1.7million and I'm looking for cars from 2008 upwards. Keypoints I'm looking for are: good fuel economy, not too expensive parts, and durabilty as I would be using it on Lagos roads. Presently I'm eyeing a yaris, matrix or the camry...however I'm open to suggestions. Thanks much in advance for ur intelligent responses |
In this life you are either a lawyer or a tenant. We have seen cases where most landlords have been frustrated by their tenants in courtrooms due to error on the part of the landlord for not entering into a proper agreement tenable in court with the tenant. Most tenants also have been ridiculed and embarrassed by their landlords simply because they do not know their rights. I bet there are some things you are facing presently as a tenant that do not go down well with you but you dont know how to handle the issue. Visit www.naijatenancyguide.com to learn more on how you can save yourself the right and legal way from tenancy issue. The site is owned by an Abuja based lawyer who is versed in tenancy issue. |
I have been researching the health benefits of various plants and herbs and most times I hit a wall because even as most of these plants are available in Nigeria, we don't know their names in our local parlance. For instance I never knew the wonderful Neem tree is our popular Dongoyaro tree. This thread is for people to contribute their ideas on various plants in our local parlance. Below are some ideas personally know Basil plant is known as Nchanwu(hope I spelt that right)in Igbo and Effirin in Yoruba Henna plant is the famous Lali used mostly by northernmost for body art Hibiscus plant is what we call here as Zobo tamarind is called tsamia here Tumeric is ata Ile pupa in Yoruba Cayenne is Bawa Chilli is Shombo in Yoruba Black pepper is iyere in Yoruba, Oziza in igbo Thorny pigweed/prickly amaranth is tete eleegun in yoruba Pls post yours. Note that the plant must be indigenous to Nigeria |
I have been going over the religion thread for a couple of days nw and I must say I have been amused and bewildered by some of the posts.based on personal conclusions, I must give great kudos to Mr Anony for his persistent attempt to shed more light on his view on Christianity.I would also commend logicboy for his stand on atheism. This article is based on personal conclusions drawn from research and should be read objectively before drawing conclusions. I have come to realize that in life if you look for just one reason to something, you'll find a thousand. The atheists believe that there is no God(strong atheism) or don't believe in some gods(weak atheism) and they have strong LOGICAL points to support this, some points based on evolution theory or some scientific theory. The Bible which most xtians strongly believe in have been torn to shreds by logical reasoning of men who unfailingly have a weak grasp of what the book is all about.people who fail to read beyond the black prints of the Holy Book. Jesus Christ have been abused severally because they feel most things he did or said did not conform LOGICALLY to their own standard of reasoning. Some people are very quick to point out errors they perceive from their own limited and sometimes unfounded knowledge in a bid to attract more followers. Whatsoever you may claim about the identity, teachings and life of Jesus is entirely up you.what I will point out rather is that all the books written about Jesus was never written by Him. They were based on accounts of people who were with him that is why they are recorded as the Gospel 'ACCORDING TO'. I'm sure we all know the meaning of that. Moreover most of the claims regarding some events they claim did not happen as written in the Bible are all false and I am ready to open their eyes should they raise such issues. As a Christian, I don't care who wrote the Bible or edited it, all I know is that I have followed some precepts and it has worked me. It teaches about love for humanity and appreciation of a higher being far greater than us. It contains the word of God that cannot be reduced to logical thinking. People who search for 'logical reason' on some wonders of God will search until they become atheist. They will never find answers because God cannot be reduced to mere human logic. His ways are not our ways. The wisdom of men is so foolish in the sight of God. The problem is that most of us don't even grasp the idea of God. For those who are quick to base their unbelief in a god and go along with the evolution theory or big bang theory, well some scientists have flawed the theories. Even that originator of the theory of evolution, Charles Darwin declared on his sickbed that "my book on evolution was the foolishness of my youth". Scientists can prove and proven but they all come to a common point where they encounter a problem with origin. Scientific method can only test existing data.It cannot draw conclusions about origin. Since no man was there to record or even witness the beginning, everyone who believes anything does so either by faith in God, the Bible, himself, science, or dependability of his own subjective interpretation of existing data. Isaac Newton says"Gravity explains the motions of the planet but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion. God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done. Opposition to godliness is atheism in profession and idolatry in practice. Atheism is so senseless and odious to mankind that it never had many professors". |

i have heard lots of people proclaim that being in a relationship relieves some financial burden as compared to when you r just having flings. While i find this to be untrue, i need guys with personal experience to debunk this myth that is perpetrated by some ladies to get us to settled down by force. |

Golden Lady: What's your tone and approach to correcting her? Sometimes it's not what's said but how it's said that causes an adverse reaction.sometimes when she does something wrong, i say nothing but she complains that my facial expression is worse than words in those moments so most of her acting up is due to my facial expressions. |
house pls i nid serious advice. i am in love with this lady very much but the problem we always have is the issue of anger. when she's in good spirits, she's actually nice, friendly and all the positives you expect from a lady but when you try to correct her over a mistake she becomes easily angered and abusive. |

peeps, is there any thing wrong in marrying a pr0stitute if she has promised to drop her ways of life. Most people frown at it but the fact remains that most people, by definition are pr0stitutes. So long as you sleep with somebody for financial gains, irrespective of whether you hawk yourself on streets or via the internet, so long as money is exchanged for puuuusssy, i believe you are a prostitute. so my question is what are the challenges one is expected to face if he decides to marry a pr0stitute albeit one who has changed her former ways. |
