How does this look? Kinda weird to me. . . .but let's hear your opinion! Is that 2face?! Y! Magazine does it again with a spectacular Celebration Issue! Where are dem car aficionados! I just helped a friend get a European spec 1999 BMW 328i and couldn't stop drooling I am kind of making up my mind that it has to be a BMW because they have maintained that quality. The leather in the interior was still pristine, the shocks and even the engine after 200k kilometers I just haven't stopped congratulating my guy for the choice he made. I just realized that the Japanese guys may just have been ripping us off. The spare parts of this car is damn CHEAP!! Cheaper than your camry and accord. I bought a new pointer for just 1500 (that of the EOD costs 5k) and a host of other things. The argument then came to which has a better fuel economy. Between a V shaped engine and a straight engine Which performs better and why has BMW still insisted on doing just straight engine? Do they have V shaped engine and what models. Siena, this is particularly for you!!!

There are so much more, almost 13 but i will use this four to illustrate!! the only one that didn't make business sense at the end was this suzuki All others were all profitable. And none was fixed at 75 percent of their market value. The repairs i must note was done in America I will post the figures later but let's start with the pictures after repair

Where have i been all these while? Nice argument all good but i can see where Inspired is coming from. i had thought Calculux would have replied by now to object to some of the points he raised. In particular that if a car costs 75% of its market value to fix, it gets a salvage title. FALSE!!!! I can show u countless evidence!! with pictures that follow.

Thanks for the prompt response!! I have been in this business for an upward of 4 years but i can assure you that the knowledge i pick every other day is just limitless. Something new crops us daily. Aside Grimaldi and Hoegh(Use them from Texas but terminal issues in Nigeria makes it a last option) what other options does a shipper have in terms of shipping companies? |

Bizbooks, Nice one. Always love to know what goes on behind the scenes as we await our car down here! A couple of question. What could possibly delay a car from leaving aboard the next available vessel even when u have met the cut off date? I ask this because i have a unit to sail aboard Grimaldi from Savannah and i am not sure it will make it eventhough the car was at the Port 10 days ago. Also, i shipped a car from bayonne some time in April and that was almost a month after drop off and it missed two vessels before eventually boarding one. As for Manheim, i didn't have a good experience with them. Maybe i should have paid the 150 dollar fee for the car above. Cos by the time i got it here in Nigeria, it was with a knocked engine!   Also, how possible is it to do these effectively without being on ground or even physically seeing the car. I mean, you could buy a car far from you current location and ship with from the nearest exit port. Also how do you rate the following auction sites regardless of their models; Copart, IAAI, Auctionexport. But a nice topic this is. At least some intellectual addition to the buying and selling going on!! |

Odometer roll back!! Go to Berger and u will bleed at what you will see. And to think that most Nigerians are still ignorant is what i can't explain. . . . what we know here is rocker science to a lot of people out but it is until u encounter someone that you will really get to know how ignorant Nigerians are! I will offer my own two cents to any new arguments. But one thing is certain, there are exceptions to every case and again, carfax and autocheck does not capture all the cases. i also noticed that most service reports are very erratic and not consistent. This can lead to buying a car that has a bad service report!!! We'll see to it! But a good thread it is bizbook. Afterall, na cheap article demanding dey cause am!! U go see motor with market value of 1m and someone is pricing 700k and asking you to call him. . . . . .and he even has the effrontery to argue that it is expensive. They will get what they want. A word is enough for the wise. |

I am still wondering where these arguments will lead us to. As for me, this season is too early to make conclusions. . . . i am enjoying the attacking flair of the new side which is what i miss since CR7 left. The days of Yorke, Cole, Ole and Sheringham as well the the trinity of Rooney Ronaldo and Saha and later Tevez are all gone. If that is what Fergie is trying to bring back, then so be it. That is why i am a United fan. Team should score goals for me and leak less. We should see how to strike a good balance and get the best of both worlds. The middle for me is not yet there. We've still got a long way to go. For now, i will enjoy what's on offer. For all i care, a team in transition that's given me this sort of performance is worthy of a good thank you. But like i said, it's still early!! |

Only if this government will limit recurrent expenditure to revenue from non-oil income and use the oil imcome for capital projects. As for the deregulation, they should prepare for war. U build refineries to boost local capacity and then deregulate. that's how serious economies doe theirs. It is no rocket science. Some people are just feeding fat from the situation hence we are were we are today!! God help Nigeria!![/color] |

When playing together, they perform well but apart is another case. I am yet to see enough games to convince me. However, i acknowledge their workmanship and talent but let's not over-hype the lads. I can bet Spetember salary that Fergie will play Giggs. That's why i laugh when i see these line-ups. So if it's gonna be 4-3-3, then expect Giggs instead of Carrick while Ando does the defensive job. Me thinks the best we can get from that game is a draw. We should aim for that and then see how to beat Citeh at OT!! |
