Yes i guess eventually i must. Instead of that i will fit a test pipe with an O2 space fabricated on it as i have read. The hollow section of empty CAT may not be a good thing for the engine and a straight pipe is recommended instead. For now, i want to try the spacer and if it fails, then the straight pipe thingy.

For now, most mechanics i have asked have no idea that a spacer of that dimension exist. Thats because most spark plugs threads are same but the nut are either 19 or 21mm while the O2 sensor has a bigger threading with 22mm. With the new $ exchange rates, the spacer is too expensive to make an orders. I think i can fabricate the spacer by welding a 22mm nut to a fitting pipe and having the other pipe threaded to correspond to the CAT O2 hole. It shouldn't cost more than 1k for labour and parts.

I noticed this issue on my Highlander in Lagos, but lack of regular free way to do up to 100 to 120km/hr didn't allow me to know the extent of the challenge.
I took it to my mech for wheel balancing and after that felt it was ok.
Not until I travelled long distance and had stretches of free way that I observed the fullness of the issue, once I hit that range of speed and had any cause to apply brakes to slow down, the whole steering keeps vibrating badly.
I can't wait to get back to Lagos for a complete overhaul.

P.S. I bought four brand new tires when I bought the car in October, so I can't blame it on the tires

Carry out a wheel balance & alignment. Most likely the culprit.

I love the IS series. Some guy here wanted selling off an IS250 AWD last month, I called him personally, and tried to strike a deal with him, but I was discouraged after I conducted little secret investigation. That said, the IS series is a beautiful car to look at and drive the Is250 feels slightly under-powered, but the IS350 is good, rear seat legroom is small because its an entry level compact sedan, its spring suspension are quite soft tuned for any serious sporty performance and only the IS250 comes in manual tranny. However, I'm more inclined to tall non-sporty things, this is a conscious and deliberate attempt to prevent myself from driving extremely dangerously.

I don't know about Callahan, hope they meet or even surpass manufacturers specification.

If I were in your shoes, I'd take some days off, remove the catalytic converter, soak it in detergent mixed with distilled water bath for say over night, check the O2 sensors and Heater Sensors for efficiency, if they are bad, I'd replace them but I'd install spacers before re-installing the heater or O2 sensor.

i dunno how we did that but van gaal is a genius for moving angel into the striking position. arsenal will always bomb forward when chasing a game - it's their weakness - always their weakness.

di maria shoulda made it 3 but the goalie made it difficult for him, the goalie went down too early for rooney & he wasn't going to make that mistake again - di maria shoulda just dribbled him or hit a feint church with the outside of his foot.

anyways - good victory, 4th position, 2 winnable games coming next. moyes never took us to the 4th position at any stage last season. if we win those 2 games, we would be fine and by then the sick notes should be back from the land of the dead.

januzaj & di maria should be doing better - we haven't exploited chelsea's full-backs at all.

fellaini, blind & mata have been awesome. they have reduced fabregas & matic to mere spectators.

smalling still lacks confidence. rojo's forward passes have been very good. rafael & shaw have been more than decent.

van persie should have scored from that big chance. how difficult can it be to chip a goalie like courtois. nani scores that 100 times out of 100. the tekkers is simple - chip the ball cos the goalie would always make himself big.

chelsea have been very useless - how are they on top of the table?

our bench is horrible. no young, valencia, anderson, etc. on the bench. the front 3 is di maria, van persie & januzaj......and i don't trust adnan.

chelsea have no costa but the other 10 players are constant. we need a miracle today with this half-strength team. what the fück happened to falcao?
