A hong was heard outside the gate, Bone rushed and open the gate standing beside waiting for the car to come in. He was filled with awe when he saw the model of the car that was driving into the house. Even his boss had never driven in such kind of expensive car.
Boscoe rushed out to wash his hands after eating EBA with egusi soup. He was forced to pause when he saw the car parked almost parking. They were thrown to further shock when they saw the person that alighted from the car. His outfits were glittering and immediately he alighted, the scent of his perfume had already diffused all over the compound and Boscoe couldn't help but sniff around.

"Good morning sir" Bone the gateman had greeted.

"Morning, is your boss around ?" He asked with a tight face.

Bone nodded and made to show him the way.

"You no go close gate ? "Boscoe shouted at Bone and rushed to walk Khalifa to the mansion hopping to get some pay out of it.

They walked till they got to the door and Boscoe went in to inform Mr Alex of his guest. Within seconds, Mr Alex followed Boscoe lead back to the door where Khalifa was.

"Oh! you are here. We have been waiting for your arrival since morning" Alex said with alacrity.

"Am sorry for not making it in time, I had to put some things in order at the office before living. You know how these things are done now." Khalifa explained.

"Oh! sorry for my manners..come inside...." He said to Khalifa. Alex also noticed that Boscoe was still there playing with his hands.
"Hey you, what are you still doing here ? My friend will you disappear to you quarters ?" He shouted at Boscoe.

"Oh! come and have these...." khalifa brought out five thousand naira and gave to Boscoe.
"He helped me in' He said to Alex who just nodded reluctantly with the look of "That should have been given to me".

Boscoe didn't minded how his oga felt about it and showed appreciation before hopping back to his quarters enthusiastic.


"My sweetheart please come and welcome our honourable guest. He is already here" Alex called at his wife.

"Am coming please.... just some seconds" She said to please her husband. She had to play along with him to avoid embarrassment.

Before two minutes, Mrs Alex was already coming down the stares and couldn't stop staring at khalifa from her position. She was indeed impressed by his looks but suddenly felt a bad feeling about him. She couldn't stop looking at him till she got to where they were.

"Welcome to our humble abode..." she stretched her hands and shook him still staring all over him.

"Thank you madame!,I must say, you have a very wonderful place. I love the decor around, you people are indeed of great reputation" He commented.

"Mr Alex went banana on hearing that comment, his ego most have grown as high as everest.
"We are flattered. Besides this is nothing compared to dad's possessions, he is a billionaire and you know what means" He said.

"Ok! can we move to the dining please because I know our guest most be famished" Mrs Alex said.

"Of course I am" Khalida said. "And lest I forget, where is your princess ? the one you told me about over the phone ?" Khalifa asked.

Mrs Alex had been praying that Sharon don't get dragged on that but obviously her prayers weren't answered. She searched through her brain for what to say for a minute before speaking up.
"Oh! my daughter has to look her best before showing up. Don't worry she will soon be here and you will have more than enough to be with her."

"Honey why don't you go and check on her while we wait at the table" Alex said to his wife.

She gave him an ugly stare before replying " sure, let me check her out"

Mrs Alex met her daughter weeping badly. She had not fully recovered from the drama that happened earlier.
"Sharon you have to be yourself now. The son of the most wealthy man in the state is here and wishes to see you. Your dad is with him and you have to put up a bright face to cover your father up." She said to her daughter.

"But mum, I don't want to see him. I don't care if he is the President's son. All I care about is Edward and nothing can change that" Sharon said.

"I know you love Edward and you know am behind you in that but this is different. It has to do with your dad please save him the embarrassment ",Mrs Alex convinced.

Bella finally gave in to her mother's demands and decided to meet khalifa. She dressed on beautiful outfits and walked behind her mother.

"Here comes the pride of my home, the light of my darkness and the princess of the household. if she were a goddess she will be that of beauty...." Alex couldn't stop praising his daughter as she approached.

"My daughter, meet please welcome our guest, the son of the most renounced and famous chief Kroos Leo, The owner of the Kroos' and sons enterprises. Khalifa Kroos"
Alex introduced.

"Mr Khalifa Kroos, meet my daughter,Sharon Alex. " He turned to Khalifa.

They shook hands and exchange greetings.

After the introduction, they proceeded with the meal that was staring at them. it was indeed a delicious meal and Khalifa couldn't stop commenting. That was the first time he sat in such luxurious table and probably the most delicious meal he had tasted all his life.
They got talking after the meal and later, Alex and his wife left Sharon and khalifa to get themselves more acquainted.

Nice one dad....its adventurous....

"Hmmmmmmm Khalifa Kroos. Turn around and walk like him" Gerald instructed his son who was already dressed in one of the latest designers suits. His shoes where glowing and the scent from his clothes could be smelt kilometres away. He was really looking rich that no one would suspect he was the direct opposite.

"Remember that from now you are no more Khalifa Gerald. Your surname is Kroos and do not forget that" His dad preached.

"Dad you have to trust me, am ready for this" Khalifa assured.

They walk outside the apartment and Gerald walk his way to the garage where a latest model of Porsche was parked.
"That's the car you will use for today. Another will be given to you when next you are going " He said pointing to the direction of the car.

He was about to bounce on her when a knock was heard on the gate.

Everybody's attention moved to the gate as they watch to see who was coming in. Lo and behold there came Sharon and a guy who was unfamiliar to everyone except Boscoe.
Mr Alex and everyone stood silently as they approached.

"Halt there! you shameless brat, I don't know know why you have decided to bring shame onto the name of this family. So you think after sleeping outside this house , you will just walk scot free to your room ?." Alex charged at his daughter.

"Dad what did you expected of me ? oh! I should have folded my arms, looked around and smile so that I will be ridiculous ? No I am a grown up and won't have someone monitor me all in the name of some family name and reputation. Dad you have to respect me and my feelings or I will vacate the house for you so that you will have all the name and honour to yourself because honestly I am sick and tired of staying in this prison you call home". She fired at her dad

Before Sharon could say another word,.a hot and resounding slap had landed on her delicate cheeks.

"You won't do that to your daughter again" Edward came in between Sharon and her dad. Mrs Alex and the maids with the driver and other workers stood quiet and amused about Edward's guts.

"And who do you think you are to tell me what to and not to do to my daughter" Mr Alex asked with a grim on his face.
"My name is Edward. Am your daughter's boyfriend and she spend the night at my house. If you are looking for who to blame or punish, it should be me not her" Edward boldly said.

"Mr Alex clapped his hands as he walked around Edward for three times before making a stop.

"So its you that have been causing all the troubles in my family ? Well I am not surprise that you want to get close to my daughter because I know what your problem is. I will solve your problem and you shall disappear for good" He said bringing out a cheque book.
"This is a cheque of two million naira. You should take this money and better your miserable life because I am very optimistic that you can never get half of this all through your life" He added after tearing off the slip.

"I was expecting that from you because I know you are no different from the rich people who think money can buy everything. But I just want to prove you wrong now because my love for your daughter is above all your money and wealth. My love for her is not something you can just buy around like you do on other things. " Edward retorted.

"How dare you speak to me that way ? Since you declined this generous offer from me, I want to sound this straight into your peasant brain that any day you are seen close to my daughter, I won't only deal with you, but your useless parents will have to pay for not bringing up their child in the right path. " Alex fired.

"Will you people stop all of these already ?,Alex go to inside and stop embarrassing yourself here. Don't you even have shame exchanging words with this boy ? please go" Mrs Alex cut in.

"And you, please go and allow us talk. We need to discuss as a family" She said to Edward.


Alex and his family left the scene and Edward also left through the gate and only the workers were left gossiping with one another. Boscoe stood at one corner of the quarters talking to the gateman about the incident.
"Chai...if I say I no like wetin happen for I here I lie. see as this boy talk to oga like say he be small pikin. I wish say they even beat that im big mouth weh he deh use abuse people." He said.

"Boscoe please mind wetin deh commot for ur mouth ooo cos as I deh here I no one any wahala with oga oo", Bones the gateman cautioned .

"my problem with you be say you too deh fear....If oga no fit do anything to that boy , wetin he go.do us ?, Abeg make I rest." He said and whisked into his room

Mrs Nicolas watched from the top balcony at her husband and daughter who were playing at the deck of the house. She watched as Nicolas played with Bella with happiness written all over his face. How she wished, they will continue living like that but as far as Gerald was out there, there family was bound to separate.
"My greatest mistake was not killing Gerald. I thought he had already forgotten about everything that occurred but I was wrong. As long as that thug is out there on the street, my family's happy days are numbered." She said to herself.

Ever since Bella was born, Chief Nicolas hasn't been able to have another child. He is in constant thought about the future of his companies and who will take over when he is old and weak.
With the fact that he didn't had a male child, he still loved Bella with all his heart. After all anyone in his shoes will do same.
It took them five years after marriage before they could bear a child. All hope seemed to have gone when he was diagnosed in the hospital with a reproductive related disease. He had to undergo surgery before he could survive. After the operation, he was told that he had little or no chances of producing sperm as the disease had succeeded in damaging his testosterone.
Everything seemed like magic when Bella was conceived. Chief Nicolas was so excited, he had a party thrown at the house to celebrate his then anticipated child. His happiness increased when Bella was born and since then, he has been unable to have another child.



************Edward was the most happy guy around town since his girlfriend was there and was going to stay for some days. He had taken his bath and was ready to go out with her to the market as she had asked. He dressed on his best outfits and wanted the whole village to know that he was with his girlfriend. He held her by her curves all through their way till they reached the market.
Edward was amused to see Sharon buying foodstuffs from one stalk to another. She didn't even told him she was going to get all those things atleast he would have tried stopping her. After all the shopping, she was seen struggling her way out with two packaged sacks held side by side. Edward couldn't help but admire her, "She will make a good wife" he thought.

Mummy Elizabeth had already prepared dinner before they returned so the ate and retired to their beds.
The next morning, Sharon was the first to wake up . She went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. It wasn't easy lighting fire in the local cooker. She managed to light the fire and at the drop of a hat,breakfast was ready.
She arranged everything on the table and began to clean the house since mum and Edward were still asleep.

"My daughter when did you do all of these ? Did you had to bother yourself, I mean you are not used to local house chores so I think....."

"Mum,you don't have to worry about me, am perfectly OK doing this. Besides I am used these in school do you shouldn't worry" Sharon interrupted Mum Elizabeth who just woke up and was walking her way to the rest room.

She finished cleaning and went to wake Edward who was still sleeping.
They all sat at the table and mama said a prayer before the began eating. Break fast that day was unique t other days, they had a real quality meal and Edward couldn't stop commenting.

They were having fun and laughing when Sharon's phone rang. She checked and discovered it was her mum.
"Hello mummy" Sharon said.

"Sharon you have to come back now, you don't know the kind of trouble you have put me into. Your father has been roaring in the house since we woke up, the driver is really in bad shape now. You have to hurry back before your dad kills someone" She said in sobs.

"Mum don't worry I will return today"

"Don't return today, I need you to return now" Her mother shouted this time around and hung up.

"What's wrong, I mean who was that screaming ?" Edward asked
"My mum. My dad has been blaming everyone in the house for my disappearance and they are really in bad condition now. I need to be at home in two hours" She said standing up

"I will go with you" Edward said.

"But..."

"No buts...you left your home to come see me without minding what your dad will do afterwards. I need to protect you from his wrath, its high time we fight for ourselves" He said in a serious tone.

"But my son, are you sure this is a good idea ?" his mum cautioned.

"Mum it doesn't matter if its a good or bad idea, but I have to do this for the woman I love" He replied her.

They left to the bathroom and in some minutes they were ready to go.
