I don't find Nigerians accommodating, I find them to be pretentious with a point to prove . ......call it inferiority complex if you may....but there is a certain level of worship for people who come from better developed countries and with better currencies . There's a reason why the country isn't on the list of top visited countries on the continent. No visitor wants to go to a country where you have to be driven around by armed guards or you can only live in gated community because the lazy locals will kidnap you for quick cash. This is not the case in most African countries outside of the war zones....that's why those countries remain migrant and tourist mecca of Africa before Nigeria.

Also the foreigners in Nigeria aren't exactly desperate "hustlers" , they're people who live above middle class lives in Nigeria. People sent in by their governments or companies that already have a leg in Nigeria. So these aren't the types to compete with the local hungry illiterates. Also not the type to be arrested anyhow. Lebanese ,Indians ,Chinese,Brits make up most of the foreigners and they are mostly behaved and create their own jobs . They hardly inter-act with the locals or live in poor neighbourhoods...they are treated more like the owners of Nigeria than the actual Nigerians..which is sad. Nigerian police would arrest a Nigerian and the soldiers would beat up a Nigerian if a foreigner accused of him of theft...without even requesting for proof. That's not being accommodating in my book .....but hey . The other group of foreigners are the Fulanis, and we both know the Northerners would turn Lagos into dust if the Southerners dared to touch the Abokees . And then you have the Togolese and Beninois who cant be differentiated from the Yorubas most times and they also speak the local dialects. So you don't have many foreigners to deal with ....no Southern and East Africans . Some Cameroonnians and Ghanaians here and there and not a damn body fro the horn or Rwanda. So Nigeria is very un-attractive to most African poor people unlike South Africa.


As for humanity first.....well they say charity begins at home . People will always treat you as you are treated at home . Nigerians should stop treating their own people badly to impress outsiders or for a piece of change.....it devalues your own society to outsiders.
