It's very simple: Nigeria is a secular state which means that government should not promote or favour any religion.
Things like subsidizing pilgrimage, building of religious houses, Shari'a courts are actually unconstitutional.

The truth is that appointing Justices into the Court of Appeal just for the purpose of balancing religious quotas is wrong and that is what the latest appointment is seeking to do.

The reason why Christians seem to dominate the composition of the Court of Appeal at present lies in the fact that Christians have historically always taken education more seriously than muslims. It wasn't because of quota systems or preferential treatment that most Court of Appeal judges are Christians, in the same way that most professors, medical doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, software engineers in Nigeria are Christians. Plain and simple, taking education seriously pays off.

You should have made due diligence on the land before building on it, most lands are government reserved area which means that any building on the land can be demolished at any time, just pray you will be allocated another plot of land if they eventually carry out the demolition.

Christian schools constitute more than 70% of all the schools grant-aided by the government. The rest were community schools.

Your aim is to impose Islamic values of Christian schools. Why don't you take your schools and allow Christians take their schools?

The Governor was very clear and unambiguous but trust the religion of "PEACE" to be peaceful at your peril

1. Church members contributed money to buy land on which to build schools where Moslems were not prevented from attending
2. Government grant-aided the schools where
a. Government manage school administration
b. Government employ their own teachers
c. Government pay their own teachers

Years after, Muslims say because they have the highest population in the state, therefore the schools belonged to them.

Christians contributed money to build schools when the whole state had 3 schools with Christians building over 50 out of a total of 73 schools. The agreement with Government was Grant-Aiding , some years after when majority of Muslim politicians have put themselves in Government, they are talking about takeover!

Get your facts right. Ogun State was created in 1976 while Kwara had been created 9 years earlier in 1967. Kwara State at the time ( including present Kogi and part of Niger States) had only three schools belonging to government out about 68 schools then. It was not a take over, it was partnership in which aid will be granted in 1972. The then military governor's speech is in the public domain in its original form/ format.

Talking about Ijebu Ode could be different from talking about Kwara. Each state had its peculiar approach then. That why some states changed the names of the schools while some other did not. They have their reasons and intentions

The schools were Grant-aided as per the agreement of Government management. Even the governor of Kwara state has not furnished anyone with the signed agreement as per Government takeover.

If Government had indeed taken over how come building of new buildings and renovations are still done till today by the churches?. How come the board of governors are still appointed by the churches till date? How come the C of O of the lands are still in the names of the churches?

The agreement was for government to take over the administration of the school including collection of school fees , appointment of teachers and students and payment of teachers salaries.
