Hello guys! I have two pressing questions i would like someone to answer! 1. I scored 203 in my UTME and i chose UNIBEN with microbiology as the course, please, should i proceed or switch to another course. 2. Can someone tell me how UNIBEN's post UME looks like? I.e the subject combinations? Is it only maths and English? Thanks in anticipation! |

Nice advice. The problem is that a large number of these candidates are so desperate to get into school that they forget that they can devote the time they spend at home to cultivating one or two skills. For them, it's nothing but school. A certain Jambite was on the verge of commiting suicide because of his woeful UTME result. He felt all hope was lost! Such person is oblivious of the bright future ahead of him. The truth is, Nigeria needs counsellors! |

Bro, i understand how you feel, examination in Nigeria today is not the true test of knowledge. I got 203 in my first JAMB after burning candles and reading my eyes out, infact, i incured migrane (a severe headache) upon myself due to my ceaseless reading. When i saw the result, i almost took my life. So many thoughts kept crossing my mind. After encouragements from some friends and my family that truly know my academic worth, i decided to give my all in my post UME. I did, and passed the cut-off mark, lo and behold, my name was still missing in the admission list. A girl that i even got more than made the list. Will i kill myself? No! I can unequivocally say that 70% of those that changed their types in the exam didn't score up to 200. That's a factor too 2 Likes |

Get_Ova_Me: i did study hard for the jamb examination, and did it without mal practice, but the result was 'unexplainably' poor, i wasnt well prepared last yr and i got above 220. . Somethin' is definitely wrong with the marking of my OMR, i am ready to take up my case to Jamb office and defend my result. . . Jez need any advice.many of the candidates are also in your shoes. They decry poor marking my JAMB after a thorough self marking of their questions. |

CrazyMan: An exam where over 90% of its candidates depend on malpractice to excel, what else would you expect when things go bad?a few of the candidates claimed they independently did the exam themselves, but the results still didn't meet their desired score. 4 Likes |

This thread is borne by the unending outcry and lamentations from candidates who sat for the just concluded UTME. Ceasless outcry has trailed the aftermath of the release of the 2013 UTME results by JAMB. It is no longer news that the results have been released and Going by the scores i have seen so far on Nairaland and Facebook, a large number of candidates failed woefully. Majority of the scores i've seen ranged from 100-198. This is a bad omen for the future of supposed "future leaders of tomorrow" . What could be the cause of this mass failure? Did JAMB purposely fail candidates to remedy the sale of about 1.7 million JAMB forms for 500,000 available spaces for admission? Was it the sole fault of the candidates? Can this mass failure be attributed to the dwindling educational sector? All these are questions begging for answers. What exactly do you think is rationale behind these shameful results? Hello christian faithfuls! I and my friend were debating seriously on this topic. " there was no incident that was recorded in the Bible to have happened by "luck". Infact, it was an official debate in a christians' seminar. We both took sides, i vehemently supported the motion that there was no incident in the Bible that occured by gamble or 'luck', stressing the imutable fact that God was in "supreme" control of everything, whether good or bad. while he (my opponent) doggedly opposed with these scriptures Ecclesiastes 9 vs 11 ''i returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise...'but time and chance happeneth to them all" Jonah 1 vs 7 .."and they said every one to his fellow, come and let us cast 'lots', that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they casted lots. And the lot fell on Jonah" Proverbs 16 vs 33.."the lot is cast into the map, but the whole disposing thereof is of the lord" so please, what do you think? |

Hello guys! I'm in dire need of help. I've tried countless times to download applications with my phone since yesterday, but it hasn't worked. All it does it that, when it starts downloading, on reaching 100%, it says ''invalid update", this is very unsual as i've download similar apps with this same phone before.
