Useless campaign method. undecided

Why not fix the road with his money as mean of campaign?

Though the system has been bastardized by many rotten eggs and fake attention seekers, but Not every act by politicians can be assumed to be campaign method.
He's not the governor of the state, hence you dont expect him to undertake a project of that nature.
Methinks, he is only trying to help.

Nairaland / General / Help! Bet9ja Mobile Has Refused To Pay. by Endison: 1:41pm On May 05, 2017
Bet9ja mobile seems to have started their own MMM version. For the first time I chose to create and use a Bet9ja account. Luck was on my side and I played and won three different slips in a row last week.

I did the normal transfer procedures to withdraw the money to my bank account. I was told it would take three working days and cannot be made on weekends. I already knew of these rules. I made the first withdrawal last week, but to my chagrin, the money was Transfered back to my Bet9ja account. I assumed it was an error, I initiated another transfer procedure again to my bank account and for the second time, it was reverted back to my Bet9ja account.

I called Customer service to complain, but was told to initiate it one more time, which I did and it was still reverted. I still called Customer Care again, but I was disappointed when I was told to "open a new bank account and New Bet9ja account, that they could not do anything about the Current issue for now. These were the words of one the Customer Service agents named Wasiu. I even availed to give them my log in details to access my account and make the withdrawals for me, but I was told it's not Possible.

As it stands now, I don't know what else to do. Several calls to their Customer service lines are still not fruitful, as they feel lacadastical about it.
I was using a different bet platform before now (name withheld for obvious reasons) and has never had issues with them. But am disappointed that my trial with Bet9ja is yielding falsehood.

This is just an eyeopener to all online users to ask question and observe restraint while using the mobile platform. However, I still believe Bet9ja would still do something to rectify this issue, cos the money is seriously needed.

Politics / Re: Oil-rich Nigeria Is Ready To Implode. There's One Way To Stop It- Financial Post by Endison: 9:40am On Jun 07, 2016

All you morons up there saying thrash. Do you need a prophet to tell you guys that we are headed for a failed state? Once the crunch occurs, many of you are going to become victims.

Every single politician, both actively engaged or otherwise, knows that this system is not working, and IT CAN NEVER WORK except there is a massive restructuring of governance. They just pay lip service about things getting better soon because supporting the entity called Nigeria is what puts money in their pocket.
Let's assume the NDA suddenly repents and disengage from destroying oil facilities, and Boko Haram makes peace with itself and the society, what happens next? We keep operating a sham system based on ethnicity and nepotism. Way to go! Will it stop the rampaging herdsmen from their activities? Will it make the Fulanis suddenly realize that every other tribe has an equal stake, and nobody can be lord over others?

The sooner we face reality, the better chances we have at coming out of this predicament intact. We don't have a nation. We have never had anything close to a real nation since independence. For all those who keep pointing accusing fingers at other tribes, saying IPOB or Biafra is behind the report. Ask yourselves one very honest question: Would you willingly give your life up in exchange for your so called country? If you were told that your death would mean a better Nigeria, are you patriotic enough to forfeit your life for that?

Test your loyalty then. Know where your allegiance truly lies.

God must surely bless u.. .there's no two ways about it. U don't have a choice!

Politics / FLASHBACK: How Jonathan Cancelled A Trip To Niger Delta Community by Endison: 5:46pm On Jun 02, 2016
NB: I am seriously against the idea of Buhari cancelling his proposed trip to Phone for #NDcleanUp. But I had to post this piece to give the Zombies a field day to wańk off.
Am pro-Jonathan By the way!!

On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari cancelled his trip to Ogoni in Rivers state. The president was scheduled to travel to the state to inaugurate the process of cleaning up the area.
The cancellation, which has generated uproar particularly on social media, followed the threat of Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), a militant group, on the life of the president.
The group had asked Buhari to sign his “death warrant” before coming to the region.
In November 2014, former President Goodluck Jonathan cancelled his trip to Ogidigben, a community in Warri south-west local government, under a similar circumstance.
Jonathan was supposed to launch the $16 billion Export Processing Zone (EPZ), in the area, but the Ijaws who felt cheated protested because the site of the project was named after an Itsekiri community, without “giving credence to the contributions of the Ijaws whose land also hosted the EPZ”.
Government Ekpomukpolo, popularly known as Tompolo, a former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), asked the former president to stay off from the ceremony until their demands were met.
The security men placed on alert for the planned visit of the president were withdrawn and the protesters celebrated the cancellation.

An igbo proverb says, He who chases a chicken will end falling to the ground, cos the chicken itself is known for dribbling and maneuvers.

Then the white man said, Softly, softly, catchy monkey!

I don't know dose advising Buhari, but I know they will end up leading him to doom. His idiotic statements and body language so far are the reasons why these conflagrations are degenerating.
U call a man minority today and you expect to feed from tomorrow. Buhari should think and retrace his steps. Ignore this silly militants at ur own peril, cos they are like wasps that perched on the Scrotum.

Education / FG Scraps Post-ume by Endison: 3:44pm On Jun 02, 2016
Pegs cut-off at 180
The Federal Government Thursday scrapped the conduct of post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) for candidates seeking admission into higher institution.
The government explained that all tertiary institutions were at liberty to conduct screening for candidates seeking admission into any school.
Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, said this on Thursday in Abuja after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria.
Adamu, expressed confidence in the examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), adding that there was no need for other examination to be conducted by universities after JAMB.
He said: “As far as I am concerned the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing. The universities should not be holding another examination and if the universities have any complain against JAMB let them bring it and then we address it.
“If JAMB is qualified enough to conduct tests and they have conducted test then there will be no need to conduct another test for students to gain admission.”
The Minister also asked the JAMB to stop extra charges on several categories of changes on admissions such as the change of course, change of school and others.
Meanwhile, the JAMB has pegged the cut – off mark for admission for 2016 at 180.
The 180 benchmark, applies to all universities and higher institutions in the country, including polytechnics, colleges of education, and others.
JAMB’s Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, after a long debate with delegates from various institutions, told journalists that no institution would go below the 180 cut-off set by the board.
He said: “180 is given, no institution will go below 180 this year, And some universities can go above it, I know University of Ife will not go below 200 and University of Lagos will not go below 200 and also UI. All these ones stand but 180 as bench mark for others.
“This year we have more than enough candidates, we have over 1.5 million candidates so we will get enough candidates to take in all the schools if they are serious. Re-distribution is already ongoing, because it is embedded in the registration procedure.”

Politics / PDP BOT Sacks Sheriff And Makarfi; Takes Over Party Leadership by Endison: 6:35pm On Jun 01, 2016
The crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) assumed a new dimension Wednesday, with the party’s Board of Trustees (BOT) saying it had taken over the leadership of the party pending the resolution of the leadership tussle in the fold.

The Chairman of the Board, Walid Jibrin, told members of staff of the party at its National Secretariat, Abuja, that both the party’s National Working Committee led by former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff and the Interim National Caretaker Committee led by former Governor Ahmed Makarfi had been sacked.

Mr. Jibrin said consequently, the BOT had taken over the running of the party.
He said that the action of the BOT became imperative in order not to allow vacuum in the party’s operations as well as to resolve the leadership crisis within the party.

“Today, the BOT remains the only legal body now in the whole set up and that is why we are here to play our role,” Mr. Jibrin said.
“We are not here to take over the secretariat. We are here to perform our duties as enshrined in the constitution, hoping that our problems will be resolved soon.
“We, the BOT have taken it upon ourselves to ensure we play a great role in resolving the problems.
“We have gone very far in resolving them. We have made some contacts and consultations.
“We are not here to cast blame on anybody. If it means to go to anybody to solve the problem, we will do so.’’

He said the BOT had been receiving great cooperation from elders and leaders of PDP for it to do its job.
Mr. Jibrin, who said that the board would play its role without fair or favour, assured that the BOT would do its best to return normalcy to the party.
“The PDP has come to stay. PDP will never die,” he said. PDP will continue to rule.

“We are only on sabbatical leave and once the sabbatical is over, we are going to take over our leadership because it is our own. We are going back in 2019. But we can only do that if we cooperate and unite.’’

Mr. Jibrin, however, commended the Nigeria Police for securing the party’s secretariat by barricading access into it.
“At this critical moment, what we need is to secure our property, to safeguard your lives, and to allow members of staff of the party to work under a very good atmosphere.
“We, the BOT are entrusted under the constitution of our party to be in charge of the assets and liability of PDP.’’

Mr. expressed optimism that the party would meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline on submission of the party candidate’s nomination form on the forthcoming Edo state governorship election.
“We are putting our heads together with our lawyers,” the BOT chairman said.
“We are rest assured that everything would be in order very soon, with the reconciliation that is going on which will not last long.’’

On his part, the BOT Secretary, Ojo Maduekwe, said the BOT intervened because of litigations surrounding the national caretaker committee set up in Port Harcourt on May 21, at its national convention.
“Concerning the national caretaker committee, the matter is being resolved.

“It will either be resolved by negotiation or by vacating the court orders. We will prefer the matter is resolved internally,’’ Mr. Maduekwe said.

He said that the biggest impunity was for any party member to go to court on any issue without engaging internal mechanism in addressing it.

Members of staff of PDP who were blocked for over a week were allowed access to their offices on Tuesday by the police who had barricaded the secretariat since May 22.

Politics / I Was Under Serious Influence During Tinubu's Trial - CCT Judge by Endison: 11:49am On May 17, 2016
Danladi Umar, chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), on Tuesday, said that he was under “serious” influence in the trial of Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He, however, added that despite the “influence” he was able to deliver justice in the case.

Tinubu was tried at the tribunal in 2011 for allegedly operating foreign accounts while he was governor between 1999 and 2007, but he was discharged and acquitted.

Speaking as the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki resumed, Umar also directed the defence counsel to restrict the number of lawyers who would cross-examine the prosecution witness to just one.

He said that the conduct of the cross-examination had been untidy with the frequent change of lawyers by the defence team.

“It is certainly unreasonable that all the 100 counsel of the defence will have a bite at the cherry,” he said.

“Kanu Agabi should continue to conduct the cross examination in this case.

“I want to say that in case of Bola Tinubu we were under serious influence, but we did what we had to do and discharged him. So we must be fair to ourselves not to delay this trial.”

Also speaking, Williams Atedze, a member of the tribunal, said that whichever way the case of Saraki went it would mark a watershed in the history of Nigeria.

“Today, the country is going down. We can’t buy fuel, we can’t tomatoes,” he said.

Politics / Buhari's Economic Policies Archaic - Ezekwesili by Endison: 3:59pm On Apr 30, 2016
Oby Ezekwesili, former minister of education, says the
economic policies of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led
federal government are “archaic”, comparing them to the
ones he used as a military head of state.

Speaking on Saturday at The Platform, a yearly programme
organised by Covenant Christian Center, Ezekwesili
lamented the economic situation of the country.
She said the effect of the policies have been detrimental to
the masses.

“What did not work in 1984 cannot possibly be a solution in
a global economy that’s much more integrated,” she said.
“During the first coming of this our new president, a
command and control economic system was adopted, and
inflation spiraled, jobs were lost and the economic growth
level dipped.

“In over one year, the president is still holding to the
premise that command and control is the only way out, and
we have lost the single digits inflation status we maintained
in past administrations.

“The weakest and the most vulnerable suffer the impact of
inflation the most. Enormous power is being abused as a
result of archaic and opaque economic policies.”

Ezekwesili emphasised that the primary purpose of
government is to provide security of lives and properties,
as well as improve the welfare of the people.
She also criticised the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),
saying the apex bank needs to “regain its autonomy”.

“We need to rethink the present monetary policy of the
administration, actually the monetary policy was relatively
safe guarded from political domination, it will do well to
give a semblance of autonomy back to the Central Bank, so
that the central bank would speak the language of
economics and not this language of rhetoric and language
of anecdote, and language of suppositions that are no
longer premised on hard economic facts,” she said.

“It is important that the central bank will retrace its steps
and get back in right monetary policy making. Its crucial. If
we lost that, it’s going to be tough to regain.”

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, who delivered the keynote
address, charged Nigerians to harness the opportunity
presented by information technology.

Commenting on the theme: ‘Nigeria, what is in your hands?
Tapping into our dead economy, looking beyond our oil
driven economy’, Osinbajo harped on the need not to be
totally reliant on government.

“We want to challenge you to build solutions for smart
electricity, education, healthcare, agriculture,
manufacturing, and so on,” he said.

The vice-president expressed the determination of the
current administration to positively transform the country.
Other speakers were: Ibukun Awosika, chairman of First
Bank; Mitchell Elegbe, founder and CEO of Interswitch
Group; Seun Onigbinde, co-founder BudgIT; Taiwo Oyedele,
partner, head of tax and corporate advisory services at
PwC Nigeria; Itoya Ijewere, former president of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Expending 95% of Ur strength to hound, fight and pursue KANU, dasuki and co will not put food on the tables of the poor man.
Pls give us an economic roadmap. A sound revolution that will turn our dying economy around.
There must be compromises..some guilty ones will be ignored, all in a bid to make things better. Even America covers some of their problems so dat de can look good and strong to the world. If u spend Ur whole four years on corruption litigations and the economy falls, are we gonna eat dia flesh in prison?
