I WAS USED AND NOT PAID OFF"; SACKED LIVING FAITH PASTOR OPENS UP AFTER STRUGGLING TO PICK UP HIS LIFE FOR YEARS.

Pay attention to that picture, it was sent to me a few days by an Ex-Living Faith "Pastor" who came into my DM.

He said he felt used.

I felt so sad after reading his story, I wish I could post everything, but he was able to drop his letter.

He was not properly paid off after being sacked from the Mr Oyedepo's business.

In fact, his wife was pregnant at the time, they lost what they had, and according to him, they are still sleeping on the floor.

If you like, come to the comment section again and type me "Judge Not"...

When people like this speak up and talk about their experiences, many of you gaslight on them...

At least, this is his life, another true life account.

And it reminded me of the controversy that surrounded Living Faith Church in 2021, when reports emerged that over 40 pastors in Ekiti were released after their stations were said to have fallen below expected "church growth" indices.

One of the affected pastors publicly complained about the circumstances surrounding his exit, while Bishop Oyedepo later described the affected pastors as unfruitful and failures.

You can imagine that...

Well, let us put personalities aside and ask a simple question, where exactly does the New Testament teach that the shepherd of God's flock should be treated like a branch manager whose survival depends on hitting institutional targets?

Please, answer? Show me in the bible...

Where do we find financial quotas, revenue expectations and membership figures attached to the qualifications of an elder?

In 1 Tim 3, Titus 1 and 1 Peter 5, Scripture talks about character, sound doctrine, being able to teach, caring for the flock, being an example and not serving for dishonest gain.

The emphasis is on the shepherd and the flock, not the financial income.

Before somebody says, but the church needs money, nobody is arguing against supporting God's work.

Preachers can be supported. The needy can be helped. In fact, these days evangelism costs money.

When the preacher starts looking at souls as figures, offerings as revenue and congregations as branches that must meet quotas, there's a problem.

Because that's no longer an example from the scriptures.

And this is why I find the denominational structure deeply troubling.

The higher the hierarchy becomes, the easier it becomes to create systems where headquarters sets targets, local pastors struggle to meet them.

Most times after reports are submitted some "pastors" are transferred or eventually removed.

At that point, the pastor begins to look less like a shepherd and more like an employee managing a religious franchise.

That is not a Christian practice in the Lord's Church...

And what happens to the family after the sack?

Living Faith as a business centre moves on; as another pastor takes over the branch.

But the man who gave years of his life to the system is left to figure out how to feed his family.

Some eventually start another church because they have no other means of survival, and then the cycle continues.

He becomes a founder and continues the trend too.

See, this isn't peculiar to Living Faith Church alone oo, it's happening in RCCG, MFM, Deeper Life, and the host of them... Pastors sacked or transferred at the will of the General Overseer or the General Superintendent.

And we wonder why Christianity is becoming increasingly fragmented.

From the point of scripture, the administrative decision to remove a minister is automatically sinful.

The earlier you stop defending every religious system simply because you inherited it, the better for your spiritual life.

What guide the Church always is the question is, "Is this the pattern Christ gave His church?"

I mean, if you cannot answer that from Scripture, then you're so far away from the way of godliness, just worshipping men.

You need to retrace your steps back to the ONE true Church; where there's no headquarters, where there are multiple elders over one single local church.

May God open your eyes!

TINUBU'S 2027 ELIGIBILITY: THIS IS NOW BEFORE THE COURT

There is a new legal battle over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's eligibility to contest the 2027 presidential election, and this one is more than the usual political noise.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress have gone to the Federal High Court in Abuja asking the court to determine whether President Tinubu should be disqualified from the 2027 election over an alleged NYSC certificate submitted to INEC.

At the centre of the case,the plaintiffs claim that the NYSC certificate submitted to INEC bears the name “Tinubu Bola Adekunle”, while the President is known as Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They are asking the court to determine whether this alleged discrepancy, and the circumstances surrounding the certificate, amount to the presentation of a forged certificate under Section 137(1)(j) of the Constitution.

But take note,Tinubu has not been disqualified yet, not yet.

The court has not found the certificate to be forged. Not yet.

What we have at this stage is an allegation formally placed before a court, and the President will have the opportunity to respond through the judicial process.

The case came up in Abuja on Tuesday, but proceedings could not proceed because Atiku's lawyer told the court that he had been unable to serve President Tinubu with the originating summons. The matter has now been adjourned to September 28, 2026.

Interestingly, Justice Inyang Ekwo also warned the lawyers involved against discussing the case in the media or on social media, making it clear that the arguments belong in court.

So, rather than proclaiming that Tinubu is already on his way out of the 2027 race, the more important question is this:

What happens if the allegations are eventually proved in court?

That is where Section 137(1)(j) becomes important. The Constitution says a person is not qualified for election as President if he has presented a forged certificate to INEC.

This is therefore not a matter that should be decided on Facebook, television or campaign platforms.

Let the evidence come.

Let the defence be heard.

Let the court determine the facts and the law.

Because whether one supports Tinubu or Atiku, the integrity of the documents used to qualify for Nigeria's highest elected office should concern every Nigerian.

September 28 will be another important date in this unfolding legal battle.

She is a very lazy person.

One of the best decisions I made in my life was leaving the RCCG in 2018.

With all the trending issues surrounding the woman who recently said she has left the RCCG, I actually congratulate her family.

Beyond the backlash she may receive from RCCG authorities and followers, I suspect one of the things she will begin to notice is financial freedom and greater autonomy over her life. She may also discover that she has more time for her family—her husband and children.

In life, people must be allowed to make choices about what works best for them.

In fact, I don’t want to share details now, but there are things that have happened around my family that, I am certain, would not have happened if we were still there. Those who know me closely may understand exactly what I am talking about.

What that woman said is what some of us have been saying for years. These are not revelations to everyone. Some of us have experienced the issues around raising funds for Baba’s birthday, levies and other financial expectations that smaller parishes simply cannot afford.

I remember how one or two of their pastors were constantly on our necks. Someone even came to our house when nobody was there. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Anyway, we have moved on.

Life has carried on—and, frankly, we breathe easier now.

In recent times, I have deliberately chosen not to discuss or run with RCCG stories. We have all been given choices. After all the outcry, whoever chooses to remain should remain, and whoever chooses to leave should leave. Um um.

We are no longer slaves to fear. We are children of God.

God is not our grandfather.

No human being should have that kind of autonomy over another person’s life.

“My dadi told me to tell you”.

At some point, we have to remember that our relationship with God is personal.

It can give you access to things you couldn’t easily access back home.

But it doesn’t automatically give you an easy life.

Sometimes settling abroad simply means you become better at managing pressure.

And that’s the truth many people don’t post on Facebook.

Because social media will show you:

✈️ Airport pictures
🚗 New cars
🏠 New houses
🍾 Holidays
🛍️ Shopping

But nobody posts:

“I worked 6 days this week and I’m exhausted.”

“After paying all my bills, I have almost nothing left.”

“I miss my family.”

“I’m financially okay but mentally tired.”

So if you’re planning to Japa, don’t just prepare for the visa.

Prepare for REAL LIFE.

Because the UK can change your life…

…but you still have to build that life.
