Her bad behavior has been long-standing and I have brought it to her attention several times. She even "promised" almost a year ago to change. Within one week of that promise, she did something horrible I would never have expected from her (an entirely different story) and indignantly used rudeness and disrespect to "defend" herself. Frankly, if I must be honest with myself, she just lacks the ability to behave properly towards me - no respect, no care, no love. The irony is that she is exceedingly respectful, loving and caring of her parents and siblings. She is also generally respectful of elders. I frequently tell her, "you speak to me and act in ways you would never speak to your youngest sibling or to even a stranger on the street, yet this is what you give 'your husband' " . her response is that I should not mention her "family". Indeed, she even says that my mentioning of her family to make that point is "disrespectful" of her family.

My brother you married a stranger, you guys are not on the same level at all. There is actually no gain saying that this woman resents you and she is not hiding it at all. May God help you

Every woman gat to be doing something for herself though, but no married woman has the luxury of being a liability, only the laziest and most ungrateful of them all will utter such crap.

I guess this is the difference between living within an environment of "acute poverty" (as you can read from the post of most people here) and living in an environment where such amount is not considered "extreme"!

The truth is: As an Ebola Nurse/Volunteer, you are putting your life (and what you stand for in your family on the line) and the American Govt knows this and is READY TO REMUNERATE YOU ADEQUATELY FOR IT. The more the danger involved, the more the pay. That is how it should work!

Contrast that to the Nigerian Govt where Money allocated for Ebola Management is cornered by the Minister to "BUY VEHICLES" like that is the biggest problem we have in an Ebola Epidemic (the "tribal bigots" can hammer me over this since "it is our brother that is involved" ),
Even those that showed up to Volunteer at the IDH Yaba where denied registration (as one article l read showed) just so that one "Oga at the Top" can chop the money meant to pay volunteers!

Dont blame her for not coming down here to volunteer, none of you, if you had the option, will pass-over $200/hour to come to volunteer in Nigeria where even money meant to procure Protective Equipment (PPE) is EMBEZZLED by public servants after-all, as our President said: LOOTING IS NOT STEALING!

erad: 'suspected kidnappers' in my opinion. For all I care, it might be a toasting attempt gone wrong and it's just wrong to conclude they are kidnappers when you didn't even bother following them to the police station to hear their side of the story.

So much venom we reserve for ourselves. A false alarm or unfounded suspicion is all we need to turn on a fellow human like we are not one.

The government has failed us but most importantly, we have failed ourselves and generations unborn.
