URGENT QUESTION FOR INEC TO ANSWER Why is the INEC electoral officer (EO) insist on moving sensitive election materials from INEC LGA office to Kalabari National College (KNC) by this time of the night? What exactly does he intend to achieve by moving these materials by this unholy hour? Is he trying to act out a script and create room for hijack of the materials, invasion of KNC by thugs or midnight swapping of original result sheets? #RiversReRun #VotesMustCount |
Early hours of the morning: The Army has just invaded Barako Community in Gokana LGA and whisked away Chief Awindi Dugbor a PDP chieftain to an unknown designation. #RiversRerun #VotesMustCount |
SO MANY IRREGULARITIES RIGHT INSIDE INEC OFFICE AT BUGUMA Not too long, we informed you about plans of the Asari-Toru LGA electoral officer (EO) to move election materials at midnight from INEC LGA office to another destination, to create room for his suspected paymasters to hijack and swap the materials. Again, Soibi, the inlaw to the APC House of Assembly candidate for Asari-Toru constituency 1, Hope Barango, has succeeded in armtwisting the EO and other INEC officials to make her the SPO of ward 1. A ward which is the second largest in voting strength in the constituency and the stronghold/home ward of the PDP House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Tekenari G. Wellington. On knowing about this bias decision by INEC, Hon. Wellington's supporters and all other party agents began protesting and resisting this ugly mood. It may also interest you to know that the wife of the APC House of Assembly candidate, Hope Barango is also working as an assistant EO of INEC. #RiversReRun #VotesMustCount |
The drama begins with theft across board. Just gathering that the Ahoada East SPO listed by APC has stolen the entire Ward 12 Result sheets. The former AEO Mrs Beauty is said to be aiding the SPO for Ward 12 and pressing the election EO to allow him continue to function as SPO even after stealing result sheets. |
At about 2:00 hours an attempt by APC Chieftains Barry Mpigi and Oji Ngofa to change Eleme List of INEC Adhoc staff was checkmated by the Eleme CTC chairman, Chief Obarilomate Ollor and PDP youths in the Area. The duo and their squad who stormed INEC office in Ogale Eleme were greeted with stiff resistance by members of the PDP on ground. |
At about 1:10 hours, attempt by the INEC EO in Asari-Toru LGA to move sensitive electoral materials from INEC office to an unknown destination was effectively torpedoed by PDP members on ground. |

It is laughable that the CEO of MTN in Nigeria could come up with the suggestion of Whatsapp and Viber being banned in Nigeria, purely for selfish interest. Is Nigeria the only country operating the GSM system of telecommunications? Have these communication companies not reaped enough from Nigerians? I hope the CEO of MTN in Nigeria is not having day-dream that made him be thinking towards the direction of banning Whatsapp and Viber, both serving people from different parts of the world at little or no cost. It is regrettable that, instead of the CEO of MTN thinking of improving their bellow-acceptable standard services to her consumers in Nigeria, he is more concerned in banning the services of other competitive organisations that are getting it right world-wide, in Nigeria. Somebody, somewhere, should ask this man to shut his mouth-up and cover his face in shame. |
Africa’s largest telecom firm, MTN, has said the activities of ‘over-the-top’ companies like WhatsApp have adverse effects on the sustainability of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry. The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Ferdinand Moolman, said this while making a presentation at a hearing convened by Senate Committee on Communications on Tuesday. The hearing chaired by Adeola Olamilekan, vice-chairman of the committee, was organised following the now suspended data tariff hike by the Nigerian Communications Commission. Last week, NCC had directed the major telecommunications companies to increase data price in order to allow “new entrants” acquire market share and operate profitably. The policy was later suspended following public outcry. The Senate also asked the regulatory agency to halt the policy. At the Tuesday’s hearing, Mr. Moolman, highlighted factors impacting Nigeria’s telecommunications industry. Among these factors, Mr. Moolman mentioned “the depletion of operator revenues by unlicensed providers of “over-the-top” telecoms services who do not have any physical presence; nor pay any taxes; nor make any significant contribution to employment or other socio-economic objectives of government in Nigeria.” Mentioning WhatsApp, Viber etc., he said these companies were eroding gains of Nigeria’s telecom companies and asked Nigeria to take action like the United Arab Emirates did. He also lamented the inability of operators to access foreign exchange. “This is particularly debilitating given that most of our inputs are sourced off-shore. This has very significantly increased both operating and capital expenses.” Also, speaking at the hearing, NCC’s boss, Umar Dambatta, said the move by the NCC last week was to ensure competition. Mr. Dambatta said major telecom firms offering data at low cost would later raise the price after pushing competitors (new entrants) out of market. Communications Minister, Adebayo Shittu, told the hearing he was not consulted by the NCC before issuing the directive. Another major telecom firm, Globacom, however, said floor pricing should be left to market forces and not to the regulator. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/217251-whatsapp-viber-others-adversely-affecting-business-nigeria-mtn.html

I read with utmost surprise how Sahara Reporter could at this low ebb sitiation in Nigeria cannot come up with wayout approach to the present economic situation. Rather they keep throwing garbbages to Nigeria to distracts us. Well this is to set the record for Sahara-Reporters and for them to read between the lines. According to Sahara Reporter: mimiko finded PMB waec certificate court case. http://saharareporters.com/2016/12/07/how-governor-mimiko-funded-certificate-legal-warfare-against-buhari Did Sahara reporter follow the legal tuzzle. Whatever their aim are they cannoy see that line. For record, thr legal battle all started with. 1. Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, on Monday, (january 27, 2015) approached the Federal High Court in Abuja with an application seeking the court to disqualify the candidate over issues bothering on his credentials. The case tagged FHC/ABJ/CS/01/2015 has Buhari, APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission as the first, second and third defendants respectively. www.dailypost.ng/2015/01/27/certificate-saga-buhari-dragged-court/ 2. Buhari approached court to strike out the case. 3. On May 26, Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed Buhari’s preliminary objection to Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe’s suit. Dissatisfied with the ruling, the president has employed the services of 13 Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), and 10 other counsels to appeal the ruling of Justice Ademola. 4. Buhari hires 13 SANs - Read Nigerians shocking reactions. The 13 SANs who make up Buhari's legal team are Chief Wole Olanipekun, Lateef O. Fagbemi, Chief Akin Olujinmi, Oluwarotimi O. Akeredolu, Kola Awodein, Prof. Taiwo Osipitan, Charles Edosomwan, Emeka Ngige, Femi Atoyebi, Femi Falana, Funke Aboyade, H.O. Afolabi, Muiz Banire and 10 other counsel. These lawyers are challenging Justice Ademola’s ruling which requests that Buhari should enter into defence in the case challenging his eligibility to contest the last election on account of being academically unqualified. 5. Nigerians react to why the need for 13 SAN to defend an ordinary WAEC certificate. Some Nigerians are wondering why President Buhari needs 13 legal heavy weights to argue against him presenting his certificate if it really exists. Others are wondering how long it takes to present a mere certificate and they have taken to social media to voice their opinion. 6. Presidency threatens to sue lawyer over comments on Buhari’s certificate. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, reacted on behalf of the Presidency in an interview with journalists in Abuja. Shehu warned the lawyer that if he did not stop his “unfair and professionally inappropriate abuse of free speech”, the President’s lawyers would use the instrumentality of the law in dealing with his unethical actions, Shehu faulted a recent interview Nwokocha granted a national newspaper (not THE PUNCH), saying it is unfair for a lawyer who is a litigant in a case pending in court to hijack the power of a judge by declaring the President guilty of what he is accused of on the pages of newspapers. www.punchng.com/presidency-threatens-sue-lawyer-comments-buharis-certificate/ 7. Lawyer Withdraws Suit Seeking Buhari’s Disqualification for Lack of Certificate His life allegedly threatened Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe had alleged that there were some subtle threats on him to withdraw the case from court. He had said: Of course, I am concerned and my family and friends are too; I am not naïve and some subtle threats have already been made. For now it is small comfort that if anything happens to me, even if disguised as an accident or anything, Nigerians will know exactly who is responsible. www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/06/30/lawyer-withdraws-suit-seeking-buharis-disqualification-for-lack-of-certificate-his-life-allegedly-threatened/ 8. And the case die a natural death as Court strikes out suit challenging Buhari’s school Certificate http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/court-strikes-suit-challenging-buharis-certificate/ The Question to ask Sahara reporter is 1. Has the certificate been found. 2.. what is the need for this cooked up news at this low ebb situation in Nigeria. 3. What are their proffered solution to the current Nigerian social and economic problem. Well whatever their reasons for this crooked and junk news to distract Nigerians attention. It is dead on arrival. Good Evening Nigeria.

What is Chris Giwa looking for again |
THERE are palpable signs that Nigeria’s bid to qualify for the next World Cup in Russia may be aborted as embattled Chairman of Giwa FC, Chris Giwa, has concluded plans to drag the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to the Supreme Court, seeking a termination of the Amaju Pinnick-led Executive Committee. According to our usually authoritative sources, who spoke on grounds of anonymity, Giwa has directed his legal team to file a prayer at the Supreme Court, next week, seeking a dissolution of the NFF board forthwith. If granted by the apex court, the prayer may spell doom for the Super Eagles’ quest to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. We gathered, last night, that Giwa will ask the Supreme Court to restrain Pinnick from parading himself as President of the NFF pending the determination of the case. If the court grants Giwa’s prayer, FIFA will react and this time, the reaction will be to suspend Nigeria from participating in all football-related activities, which in turn means that the Super Eagles will be stopped from further participation in the on-going qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Nigeria lead the famed group of death comprising three former Nations Cup champions, Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia with six maximum points from two matches, four more that their closest rivals, the Indomitable Lions, who they confront next when the World Cup qualifying series resume in August 2017. But the fear is that Eagles may be banned from continuing the qualification race if the Supreme Court grants Giwa’s latest prayer, a development that will be a big blow to the team that is enjoying a new lease on life under the guidance of Technical Adviser, rohr. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/danger-looms-eagles-giwa-drags-nff-supreme-court/
