Go for after Degree Nursing ... It's two years (6 semester) but it full time and intensive (Check out university of Alberta)

Some university call it___ Post Degree Nursing, check university of Saskatchewan.

Google will give you additional info, some school offer part time.

All in all, Nursing is a lucrative field in Canny. There are prerequisites but with your educational background most likely it would be waived.

Wow...There were somethings that struck me about you whilst reading through your PPR

You are in order if you frequently pinch yourself to wake up to see if this PR is for real as you said that you have not even "traveled out" before. Even for some of us that have done trips outside, it took me 3 days to believe that for real I have a PR visa sitting in my passport for self and family...just like that!!! grin grin TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

Happy for your family as a whole. Go and flourish in Canada and do destiny proud.

I use your PPR story as a point of contact to pray for my friends here whom I'm eagerly waiting to read their ITA and PPR stories.

Thank God this ended in praise for you and family!

Brother...

Thanks!

I have scan the Visa, I check it on my phone at least twice daily...

Hi Guys,

Happy Sunday.

Hope you are all doing good.

I observe that each time there is a break in PPR Rain there is always one arguement/name calling.

This is 2019, we need to stay focus and abide with the purpose of the thread.

For the newbies, please don't joke with Page 1; it's very key and try to read all the PPR stories there is a motivation you get from it.

So as we go into the new week my prayer is that we will get a fantastic PPR Rain, Superb result in IELTS, completion of ECAs , alot of ITAs and Breakthroughs in POF.

I am waiting for your success story!

Knowledge is very key on this journey!

I read all the PPR story from Part 1 till date, So many guys have use the Generic Bank letters without SOA and have gotten COPR.

harry41:
Congratulations again. It seems simplicity is key here but I’m surprised that your letters were generic and no SOA was attached.

Congrat on the upgrade...

I wish you speedy PPR!

My people, I am so happy right now that you would think I won the lottery lol My EOR results (from BC) came back successful! Writing was upgraded from 6.5 to 7 and speaking from 7.5 to 8.5. In fact, I didn't want to remark speaking, it was COPR that suggested that I do it just to increase the chances of getting my money back. Thanks man!

The icing on this new year 'cake' was that my ECA also FINALLY arrived this morning from ICES, after 4 long months of frustration.
CRS now standing at 459, I am off to the pool o, next stop ITA! cheesy

The Bank Reference letters was just Generic... No Average Monthly Balance, the customer service officer was even reluctant to add the current balance, I had to use my persuasion skill...Adding Statement of Account was a No- No for me.

Ella99:
Congrats @Engr2000. Your testimony is too sweet.
Please i have a question regarding your POF. Did your reference letters state average balance or it's just the normal one banks provide? Cos i thought you need SOA to show your average balance.

Hi Guys,

*PPPPPPP* *PPPPPPP* *RRRRRRR* / COPR

TIMELINE:
AOR: 13TH September 2018
MEP: 10TH October
BIL: 10TH October
BIL Completed: 11th October
RPRF Request : 28th November
RPRF Paid: 29TH November
Profile Updated: 6th December {ADR Change to Not Applicable}
PPR: December 7th 2018 4.34am {Dated December 6th}
Passport Submitted @ VFS Lekki: December 7th
Profile updated from Submitted to Approved: December 19th
SMS Received from VFS for Passport Collection: January 3rd 2019
COPR Received: January 4th 2019

DECISION TO TRAVEL:

I have always believe in Nigeria and with the mind-set of building a great career/business here, however I made up my mind to travel during December 2017 fuel scarcity after queuing at the Filling station for two days without getting fuel and frustration set in, my initial thought was Australia and after following the thread I realized the process is a bit complicated. I decided to opt for Canada and the process is pretty straightforward as compared to Aussie/US PR, while googling migrating to Canada From Nigeria I came across this thread {God bless everyone that have contributed to the robustness of the info on this thread} and the journey started.

ECA:
PA: B.Sc. & ACIIN {Two or More Degrees}
Spouse: B.Sc. & PGDE {NTI} - {Two or More Degrees}
It was the era of WES and we follow to join the bandwagon later we realize we could have opt for ICES which do not require verification from school. My transcript was sent from my school twice because the first one was rejected by WES as incomplete, I need to get back to the Registrar office to resend at another cost.
I had fears on my ACIIN when ACA is not receiving favourable response from WES, however my ACIIN came out as 3 Years Canadian equivalent degree in Insurance.
The journey started with 100k in my account with first financial commitment on January 2nd by paying WES evaluation fee which was completed by June 2018 (Courtesy of NASU Strike--- More reason to leave Naija)

IELTS:
Preparation for IELTS Commenced January, my fear have always been writing, lo & behold, BC fall my hand with 6.5 in writing
1st Attempt: BC (03/03/2018) LRWS - 8.5, 7.5, 6.5, 8
At this point I was very broke, my friend have to raise me 80k to register for MOD and also pay for the remark at BC.
2nd Attempt: MOD (07/04/2018) LRWS - 7.5, 7.5, 6, 6.5 {This result even worse pass the first attempt}
Remark for 1st attempt was received from BC after 14 weeks with writing unchanged (Apparently if I had known I would have also tick speaking at least I would get my 15k )
3rd & Final Attempt: MOD (07/07/2018) LRWS - 8,9,7,7
For the IELTS hopefuls, just keep trying and don't give up... Our eyes should be on the GOAL.
Spouse did twice and got average of 7.0

CRS & ITA
Profile created July 23, 2018 with CRS 441, ITA received August 8--- This was actually timely because my birthday is in September which means my point would have drop to 436 and there would be no other option than PNP or learn French.

POST ITA:

MEDICALS:
Medicals was pretty straightforward at Children practice, similar to what I have been witnessing in Pre-Employment medicals. Spouse got a mail two days after for another Urine test which was carried out after one week with a fee of about 3k.

DIGITAL PHOTO:
Just go to Studio 24 at Allen, They already know what you need for PR. N1,500 (4 Copies) paid each for Hard Copy & Soft Copy.

EMPLOYMENT RECORD/PROOF OF WORK EXPERIENCE:
I submitted only two pages Reference Letter from HR {No Pay slip, No Offer Letter, No ID Card}

PROOF OF EDUCATION/STUDIES:
Page 1 & 2- WES Report
Page 3- IELTS Result
Page 4 – University Degree Certificate
Page 5- Professional Qualification Certificate

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:
I submitted the one I receive from Church {I have not been to Registry before}

POLICE CERIFICATE:
I got across to Inspector Moshood {I hear say na ASP now } at Alagbon via the contact provided on this wonderful thread and we paid 7k for two.

PROOF OF FUND- POF:
I submitted two Generic Bank Reference letters {No Statement of Account}. One from a Tier 1 bank and the other is a Microfinance Bank.

LEGAL NAME CHANGE FOR SPOUSE:

Page 1: Change of name Affidavit
Page 2: Newspaper Publication for change of name

POST – AOR:

AOR- September 13th
Medicals & Biometrics flow in as usual as others with similar timeline.
November 9 was the first PPR Rain for September AOR by then I realize I am due for PPR.
So out of Curiosity, I mailed Ralph on the 15th November and I got the response below:

Dear Engr2000,
I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Sept 13, 2018. It is at the Case Processing Center in Ottawa.
Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.
Criminality passed Oct 11, 2018.
*Eligibility and security have not been initiated*. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.
Medicals are valid until Aug 14, 2019.

Sincerely,
Ms. Robyn Sullivan
Office of the Hon. Ralph Goodale, MP
Regina-Wascana"

Did I get discouraged? Yes! (I am Human)
Did I give up? No (My eyes was still on getting PPR before Christmas)
Two weeks down the line, I got RPRF request on November 28th and a week later I got PPR {December 7th, 2018}I cried, apparently I have never applied for Visa before whether Visiting Visa, Tourist Visa or Student Visa and here I am with PR just like that.

Moral of the Story: whatsoever *is not initiated* can be completed in a space of 1 week.
So guys hang in there, I look forward to seeing more PPR rain on this thread before the end of January 2019.

COPR Landed today and it has ended in Praise.

This have been my Song Inspiration all though the application:

NARA by ---Tim Godfrey Ft. Travis Greene –

Hey guys, welldone for keeping the thread alive. May we all have good news to share in 2019.

Pls to use tbills as proof of funds..must the tenure be short and close to maturity,?

For instance, i am in the pool at the moment can i buy tbills for a year or will it be better to buy for 3/ 6months.

Is it just the certificate that matters or tenure?
