why do you people keep using ministry?

He's not managing a ministry, he's managing a commission. Ministries are Federal level, a Commission is nowhere near as large undecided
Say only what you know. State ministries are headed by Commissioners while Federal ministries are headed by Ministers. Just as the Federal Perm. Secs report to the ministers, the permanent secretary of a state ministry reports to the commissioner.
You've never heard of Lagos State Ministry of Education, Abia State Ministry of Works, Borno State Ministry of Finance? Who do you think head these state ministries?

to look decent not responsible. You cannot look 'responsible', you can only act responsibly.

You are married to a Yoruba man.

They just can't eat rice alone. It's just this weird belief that eating rice alone is bad except you add EWa or moi moi to make it balance diet. (Which isn't true).

Just the same way I can't eat rice alone without banana sliced in.

So what you'll do is cook EWA anytime you cook rice.

I thought I am the only one addicted to eating rice with banana.

That might be little hard, but u can get in duste , which is close to d Dawaki, my selfcon in kubwa is 200k which is even cheaper, if u looking for room n parlor in kubwa u need to have like 250k or 300k..
And to think that my friend stays in a very spacious 1 bedroom with a detached store house at navy quarters phase 4 kubwa for N250k/annum and recently had his rent reduced to N200k by his landlord.

I think it has to do with individual landlords sha.....cos I know of someone paying just N80k for a self con in that same phase 4 close to mohammed shop and yet another paying 250k for self con in that same area.

Oh wow!! Now this is a serious one.

I think you should prioritize. Rank all you want in your woman. If she has the most important ones, then she just might be your best bet. No one is perfect you know. If she doesn't, well...

BTW, have you tried letting her know these things stress you?

All the best bro
Thanks for your contribution. I have spoken to her about these and she asked me to be patient with her, promising to change.

Happy Sunday to Everyone.

I'm 32yrs but still unmarried, not because I don't like to or because of money but I just have constant concerns, worries, and fears.

I have been in relationships severally where we both love, respect and care for each other; but I call it off every time it was getting really serious, not because of any grievous issue in particular (because nobody is perfect) but just because of worries and fear of the unknown.

Some of the worries I have are things like:
- Would I still like her in the near future after locking it down with her in marriage?
- Am I sure I have considered all my chances?
- Am I sure I won't regret my choice or find a better choice tomorrow?
- Am I sure this is the right person for me?
- Am I sure I'm not walking into misfortune with my two eyes open?
- Am I sure I'm done a balanced analysis in making a choice or just looking at one side?

Some people think I don't like marriage or that I'm just flexing, but these fears and concerns make me develop cold feet whenever a relationship I'm in start getting serious. These fears and doubt are real.

So guys, what were your fears and concerns before getting married and how did it turn out after been married.

I am in this same situation as you. I am currently dating a lady who is a graduate and will be 25 years this year. She is loving, caring, industrous and very generous. She is well accepted by my family even though she is from a totally different tribe.

I had planned settling down with her, until I began to realise;

1. My physical attraction to her was waning by the day. She is fast losing her good physique to belly fat and this is really putting me off.

2. She has suddenly become rebellious and will not accept her faults 50% of the time. When I notice something she does wrong and draws her attention to it, she will give excuses and rant about how excessively demanding I am.

3. My mum has never treated her badly. But on one ocassion, my mum extended her anger to her after a disagreement I had with my mum. This lady took it personal and even threatened to stop calling mum. All these because of just one incidence in about a year.

4. Despite coming to my house almost all the time, this lady has never cooked for me. I dont know if she is a good cook or not, although she cooks in her house.

5. She takes offence too quickly. Any little or prolonged joke and she loses her cool. In contrast, I am a very playful person and I cant cope with too much seriousness.

6. Finally, the cultural difference which wouldnt have been much of a big deal except for the fact that she is not so willing to adjust to changes and take simple corrections on how things are been done in my culture.

Weighing her good side and not-too-good side, I became confused. I dont want to settle down with a disrespectful, rebellious woman even if she is the nicest and most generous person in the world.

I can cope with most of her wrong-doings cos I noticed when the chips are down, she is soft-hearted. However, I find myself always thinking, why not be a bit patient, you'll meet someone who will complement and understand you better.

I really do not want stress after marriage and even if there will be, it shouldnt be from things I have noticed and could have avoided before marriage.

Apparently, I know how frustrating it is to be a Nigerian where nothing absolutely really works. Before I digress, here is the revelation;

Can you all remember a published article claiming DPR recruited 600 employees? Well, this is really true.

Stakeholders and special candidates are given their due slots. Stakeholders have 200 special candidates.

The rest of the applicants are to battle for the remaining 400 slots. Out of this 400 slots, candidates on merits are a bit over 300, the remaining slots are reserved for few top shots including FCC candidates etc.

Well, I feel I need to tell you guys this.

Apparently, the 200 special candidates are the ones picking up their appointment letters.

400 slots are currently openly published but in the real sense, they have already circulated an article claiming the number is 600.

I will like to officially say, the recruitment is 50-50 supposed to the 80% merit I had claimed.

If you have a link at DPR, you can confirm this.

I feel all applicants should come together. At this point, there has to be a movement!!! If by next week, candidates on merit haven't started sharing testimonies- WE WILL TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORN!! I will update you soon.

Education / Re: What Is The Role Of A University Chancellor? by EngrBriggs: 9:16pm On Jun 17, 2018
shanequeen:

pro chancellor and chancellor are the same thing
Pro-chancellor is an officer of some universities in Commonwealth countries. The pro-chancellor acts as a deputy to the chancellor and as practical chairman of the university council. The actual chief executive of a university is the vice-chancellor.

Gaming / Deus Ex: Even Game Developers Acknowledge Nigeria As A Fraudulent Nation by EngrBriggs: 11:00pm On May 23, 2018
I was shocked while playing a video game (Dues Ex) over the weekend. While trying to view some of the files on a computer (one of the missions in the game), I came across this mail in the 4th picture.

Everyone across the world know Nigerians as internet fraudsters, even game developers. Such a pity.....what a generation!

Search and download any of those App. Register and follow all the instructions. The loan is 15% interest on whatever amount you are qualified to borrow. Loan due Period is 1 month or 2. You can receive your loan request instantly into your bank account and you would be asked to input your ATM details to enable you settle your loan when the time is due.
Thanks a million sir. I used paylater and got the loan in approximately 10minutes. Although I was only able to get N12,500 (the maximum loan I could request was N15,000 and 17% interest was deducted before hitting my account) but it's still a great deal especially coming at a time of desperation. Indeed, ignorance is a disease. Thanks again Sir. You saved me a lot of embarrassment.
