Masterito: Shut up if can't answer simple question. US has double of any real capability China has. China hasn't been to any war in decades. War games is not real war take note. If China is so powerful, tell them to invade Taiwan without US consent.
You aren't US so I won't engage in any futile argument with you. The world knows the US is in panic mode over China's growing strength.
insidelife22: Us is becoming weaker every year,while China and Russia becomes stronger.
Nigerian leaders are selfish,while the citizens are oppoturnists,fraudsters,and very crooked.
US strained itself by engaging in unnecessary show of force (through unnecessary wars), after declaring itself a target of attack by Muslim terrorists. I wonder why those terrorists are only interested in the US and not China or Russia. I wonder how China that doesn't engage in these wars keep growing stronger by the day. Sadly, the US is just realising that being a world power must not necessarily be preserved through aggression.
dru23: Plz look at the chart below and see what temperature Nigeria weather falls under.......
Good quality oil will do well under extreme tempt
I cam see the positive axis stopping at 100°F, but here in Nigeria, my car records up to 105°F. I believe it's safer to use oil with higher viscosity, as indicate in the last sentence of the chart you posted up there.
dru23: .. Car owners should do their research and read owners manual The correct oil for that 2010 corolla is 5w20 or 0w20 ... .. Either oil will give best protection under extreme heat ........ If you buy quality oil the additives will lubricate the engine well enough under extreme temperatures...
The chart below illustrates that.... Simple as 1, 2, 3 Nigerian Temperature falls under that chat.......
1.. I will agree with u 1000% that too much oil was put inside the engine.. From the looks of things it seems the mechanic empty out the whole 5liter of oil..
Corolla engine are small and that engine should take no more than 3liters at most....maybe 2.5liters .. Too much engine oil can cause damage to the oil........
The best bet like u said is for the guy to empty out the oil and have someone that knows what they are doing to properly gauge the oil
0W20 was indicated on my car but I use 5W30, and I encounter no issue at all. 0W20 is quite light for our wheatear, my candid opinion.
You're just making insinuation without anything to support it. Go and read the news again, he's not a person of interest, they jist want to humiliate him.
Hallenjay: hmmmm, thanks, d 5w20 was recommended somewhere, here too, but will it arise to ds noise? Its too much and annoying
Two things happended with the 5W20 you used.
1. It's viscosity is low, so it's not recommended for use in got wheatear areas like Nigeria, cos once the oil gets hot, it will be too light and cannot lubricate the engine.
2. You even used more than the required quantity, so the engine compartment was quite chaotic, because there was light oil and plenty of it for that matter.
Hallenjay: yes, he put all of it. The mechanic, the previoud owner is badly sick and i cud not get info from him at d moment. Hoping to get it if he did not die
This is what I infer from the whole scenario:
1. You used the wrong Engine Oil, not what the maker recommended, because I can see it's 5W20;
2. You flooded the engine with the oil, above the required volume needed, which should be at most 4 and 1/2 litres;
3. These anomalies could have affected the health of your engine, given that you embarked on a journey immediately after the service;
4. I advise you immediately take the car to a renowned service centre, especially those located inside filling stations. You change both the filter, and the oil, and don't forget to use the oil that the previous owner uses, and if that's not possible, kindly be using Mobil 2000 semi-synthetic.
