Its best you buy dollar from 9ja. Your Nigerian bank charges you for using the master/visa card and the Australian Bank ATM charges you extra $2-$3.

The cheapest way of-course is bringing your $$$ from 9ja, hence you can't have more than $10,000 on you. And must declare on your form upon arrival at the airport (Immi & Boarder Protection)

For safety reasons, you may want to consider withdrawing when you are here. (Just consider the charges if it pays you).
the insurance u said I should buy from those stores you mentioned , must I buy it before I arrive or after I arrive Australia.. thanks in anticipation

No bro. Immigration doesnt really check that. A friend entered a month before his insurance commenced. Don't let that worry you. Just say you want to settle in before school resume. You can always buy a $2 per day insurance card from coles, woolworths or some stores.
thanks bro and I was even wasting my time here in Nigeria.. Pls those stores, are they located in Australia?

@ Bellong, my own driver license will expire by October, 2016 and I will enter Australia by may. Can I still use it if need be b4 October? And can I still get international driver license also or I shouldn't bother mysef?

Pls advise more on this sir.

Tnx

@Engrjcj try mail (oabikoye@iom.int) or
call 08167548994. She respond fast. I mailed IOM nigeria and Australia yesterday around 18:42 and she responded this morning 7:45am. She will send u a form you will fill and other supporting document and will advise u to wait 2weeks.
Also, try wakanow.com on Friday night or Saturday thru Sunday, u will get a very cheap flight on etihad, u can go to the airport on Saturday they will be there from6:30am to 3pm, u can go with ur cash, ur flight will be booked immediately.

I hope this should help.
Thanks madam.. When is ur health insurance going to start? Are you leaving before the start date?

bellong:
Your country license is more valid than international license because it is believed it has gone through the scrutiny of the country's road rules and regulations.
OK Bro.. So e-Licence is what u use there abi? So it's better I get this e-Licence we use here rather than this international one I'm processing

It depends on which mail you are referring to?
Did IOM Nigeria send you a form? After your inquiry mail, they send you a Case Detail Form to fill your details, your class of visa, and attach documents as earlier stated. After that, they acknowledge receipt and inform you that it takes as long as 2 WEEKS to send you a quote.

@abekeade1, I suspect the reason IOM suspended concessions to students at the time was because of limited slots during the peak period in January and February when Australian schools resume. I suggest you make enquiries now that demand has declined slightly.
Thanks Bro but none of them has sent me any form.

bellong:
As long as it has not expired, once it gets pass it's expiry date, it becomes invalid.
I thought what he needs is international driver's license not this e-Licence we use here.. I stand to be corrected though
