Go through the previous posts and read the steps to take. You do not need to apply as a student when you have all it takes to get your PR. Looking at your details, you have the following points:
Age-30points Qualification-15 Experience-10 IELTS 7 in each module?-10 points Total-65points. Please run with this and forget TAFE idea. Which school did you apply for and which course |

lawland: That question brought back memories. Well, let me start by warning against forging any document for DIBP, just don't take that risk . GTE can be demonstrated in many ways even without showing any document. Just ask yourself this question while writing your SOP... "Assuming i am a CO, how can someone convince me he/she is a genuine student and not just traveling cos he wants to run away from his country? ". Start first with your course of study, Does your course of study relate to your previous education? You can't have Nursing as your Bsc here and you want to do Cooking in Australia. .. another one is your study gap, you have to be able to explain any study gaps in your academic history. *To be continued * typing half asleep bros pls i want to do advance diploma in petroleum or environmental engineering, please do u have any school in mind that is under SVP and which state do u think is better for me . how do i start because am planing for feb intake, how much time do i have. I have b.eng in chemical engineering with IELTS 6.5 overall. please i need ur response quickly or any1 with idea should help me please. I dont have work experience to go PR |

missakomaye: Svp - Streamlined Student Visa takes from 5 working days to 4 weeks.(Best option is search for courses under SVP) Normal student visa takes 9 working days to 3 months Yes you can work wit a student visa. (You will have to apply for a student working visa wen u arrive Oz. After school registration and after you have seen your time table and shit) Yes they recognise ALL the degrees/certificate/diplomas/adv diplomas offered in Australian universities. They even recognise some degrees from Nigeria University/colleges of Education/Polytechnics. Aunty, please whats the website to visit for someone who wants to do advance diploma and what kind of visa does he need |

What am about to say might not go down well with you. am also an engineer with a first degree in chemical engineering and currently doing masters here in australia. what am about saying is out of love and not as a hater. IF I WERE U I WILL COME TO OZ VIA PR (PERMANENT RESIDENCE) no need to come and waste your money especially when u plan on not being an academic. it will be better to enter and come do a six months internship to have australian work experience before starting to look for work than to come here all in an effort to get post work study after spending thousands of dollars with no access to scholarships like our brothers and sisters in the united states. if u have plenty money or on scholarship its a different case entirely. as for me i never looked at the PR critically until i was over invested in the whole student visa parade. Dont get it wrong coming to do Masters here is noble but i am asking you to do your COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS. truth is after school and ur post work study big ass employers still want u to have PR before they employ u. i have been here three months and 10 days now. in this time i have started my PR waka thanks to all the info i got from the lengends on this forum Bosslady et al. i decided to be proactive and have gone to several recruiters like chandler macloed, Hays and spoken to several other recruitment advisors in this firms. my general strategy was to inform them about my circumstance and ask them for advice on how to integrate myself into the industry after my program. BROS i cant begin to speak the english that i heard. plenty advice "Reasonable and unreasonable" the bottom line was I NEEDED PR ASAP. i have met other nigerians who came here with PR and working professional jobs with only BSC. if i get hold of that PR today all this acada will turn distant learning at my convenience or part time. MORAL OF MY STORY.... PR without work experience is better than masters without paper... so just take your time and come via PR. but if u are not patient enough you can still come ooooh its still waaaaaaay better than being in naija with all this drama and all. just be prepared to work your ass off to foot your bills if you dont have enough support from home.
God bless. Bro, please I need ur advice. Am also a chemical engineer but without work experience. How can I apply for PR but if am not eligible, what alternative course can I go for apart from masters |

lawland: If you are here for masters, your spouse will have unlimited working hours while you will be restricted to 40hrs per fortnight, but if you are here for Bsc or Diploma, the 40hrs per fortnight rule will apply to both of you.
I will advise you to have enough money for Cert. training especially in aged care or disability, your spouse can do the same but if he is not the care or hospital type, he can do a security training or get a forklift license and white card. It will help both of you secure a job quicker.
Yes, you can bring African food with you but make sure they are neat and well packed, insects free as well. You can pack extra food if you want something to sell, some African shops can buy them from you.
Hope i answered your questions? You can stand up now.... Baba, pls what do u think about going for diploma in oil and gas engineering while I have b.eng already. Is it advice able since diploma is less than a degree and can I still get a visa. |
