dollypeeee: I want to use this medium to implore us to always do the right thing. We just don't know who might be watching. May God bless u and increase ur thinking faculty, more of u is needed in this country. God bless Nigeria
The Embassy as a diplomatic mission must surely have a plan they wish to accomplish with the CATEGORY booking and it is our responsibility as applicants to abide by it . As unfavorable as it may look for CAT B applicants, I want to believe that since they are not exclusively excluded from applying and the fact that the embassy even gave an opportunity to improve from the category through TESTAS shows their are not left out. Maybe there's a quota at play.
But growing up as a Nigerian sometimes makes us think we are being owed explanations to almost everything especially from bodies representing saner climes. Our government has not explained why we still can't have stable electricity in 2020 and no one has suggested nor implemented a plan to kukuma destroy all the generators or plants used in state houses, federal ministries etc to see if things will change. But instead we demonstrate an impeccable spirit of patience with the hope that e go better. In 2018, the American Embassy denied a scholarly friend who had secured a full scholarship from a renowned university in the US after scoring very high in GRE and IELTS and a host of other Skype interviews with his potential faculty. This denial was allegedly based on their usual pretext " no strong ties"... What other ties do you expect from a fresh 1st class graduate in his early 20s. According to him, he was not even asked to show his scholarship letter nor other important documents. Questions like are you married or do you have kids have become more important for someone who's going to study. The application for study visa for the US seem to even involve more money and time, you're compelled to write IELTS, GRE in most cases, pay for application fee, SEVIS fee, visa fee and just in a couple of minutes with the V/O, you're handed over rejection for no logical reason. Still the aggrieved didn't suggest spamming the US sites ( their site is too controlled to even entertain that). How many have written to the US embassy or the ambassador, has anything changed ?
Germany on the other hand made theirs accessible, we gain admission with little effort. Most of us even dodge uniassist schools just because of application fees, we dodge schools that request for IELTS etc. In addition to their sophisticated and open approach we don't pay visa application fee in advance. Yet, to show just little faith in the process, some are devising evil plans. Some of us who are privy to how the German application works in the past will tell you that is it a near perfect system. No issue with AD allocations whatsoever. Denials are very few. Since the turn of 2019, the number of applications they receive skyrocketed, they need to improvise. To come up with plans that'll separate those who are truly ready from the fill-ins. How many of us here know in the past that you can go for interview without BA or SL and the embassy will wait till you successfully completed the BA or sent them your SL. But instead we use our usual prejudice as Nigerians to distort real process before it even begun. Some of us have started seeing German visa as entitlements to the extent that they're willing to block the chances of others if it doesn't work for them. This is what has characterize the black mind since the beginning of time. This is exactly the kind of greediness that our ancestors entertained that made them sell their brothers to slave trade. How people result to these ideas still baffles me.
We all want a Nigeria that make sense yet cannot follow a simple due process. We call ourselves future leaders of this great Nation yet acting already like her present foolish and greedy leaders.
I am not against writing the embassy or the ambassador for intervention, but we must understand that the embassy is an embodiment of Germany in Nigeria and has autonomous right to do whatever it pleases. It serves as a legal border between Germany and Nigeria and thereby shouldering (in part) the responsibility of determining who they let into their country.
I can assure you that our complaints and mails arere being received and just because changes are not forthcoming does not mean they're not being acted upon. So please while we're trying not to fold our arms, don't let us overdo things as well. We read the instructions on the German website and we're willing to take our chances, that's why we proceeded. So why do we suddenly want to change half-way. Don't let us make another US out of Germany who'll probably give thousands of appointment dates and consequently thousands of visa denial (laughs). The German embassy is open everyday and people go for interviews everyday. A vast majority may have been the "audio" applicants who used dummy details. See how we are shooting ourselves in the leg. Some might even argue that they can increase the number appointments and work extra hours or have more interview points. Remember they hold the exclusive right to controlling how many Nigerians they let into their country. Because we don't control our population and check our borders for those who we let in does not mean other countries should not.
Please NLs, let's endeavor to follow the process. Let's be advocates of fairness and justice. Let's allow both foreign and domestic authorities to do their job. Let us all have one application and exercise patience with it. And most importantly let's be our brother's keeper.
Thank you and God bless |

bros, if your passion is sport, den u can as well apply for another bsc which can concur with ur football age. darigho: Good day everyone, new here though I come here to read comments once in a while. Would really like to hear your advice, hopefully I find something helpful. I'll try to be sincere as much as possible. Already have a Bsc in Naija, but I'm seriously pursuing a career in football. I'm looking for a way to travel down to Germany and combine study with my career. I've thought of going for MSc but considering the age on my certificates that might mean giving up my career if u understand how football business works. At the moment I'm really under pressure so I'm considering doing the MSc and ditching my football career but I fear this may hunt me forever. Please if I'm to begin processing an application for MSc admission now, when am I possibly going to travel if eventually I'm successful. And how do I go about i ?? Please guys your honest advice. I so need it now. Any info that would help a brother, man wont get frustrated oh, there has to be a way |
