Correct. You can complete an additional one-year program to be eligible for PGWP. So, two one-year programs = 3-year PGWP.
PR requirements depend on other things like age, occupation, level of education, work experience, type of PR program and relative in Canada.
Please, I'm curious:

1. Will one have to present POF all over again? If yes, is it the same 10k CAD living expenses and your tuition fee?
2. Does it have to be the same school/province or you can choose another?
3. How many months into the first year is one advised to apply for the extension?
4. Is the SP extension guaranteed considering that one is already in Canada?
5. Can one invite their immediate family(spouse&kids) over while on the first 1yr study permit?

Thanks in anticipation

Background: B.Sc Accounting, 12 years study gap, 5 years work gap till date

I found a program at Loyalist college - Finance and Analytics - the course outline is great but it is under the Post-secondary programs tab and it relates to my work experience as an Investment officer.

Can I apply for this course as a university graduate or do I have to specifically go for a PGD program?

I'm just curious, guys.

If one has been refused a visa before, say visit visa to U.S about 7 years ago, is it necessary to mention that? If yes, hope it won't jeopardize ones application.

JESUSSON1:
Have u been refused visa of any country before?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Eniolakate: 4:21pm On Mar 08, 2023
Thank you very much for your help so far.

Yes, I saw this (with Seneca College). But it's a 1-year course. That's the challenge sad. However, I found a program at Loyalist college - Finance and Analytics - the course outline is great but it is under the Post-secondary programs tab. However, for int'l students, they wrote this under Admission requirements.

International applicants must provide proof of academic standing equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) (Grade 12), along with transcripts from any post-secondary education (if applicable).

The following certificates are acceptable for admission:

Scanned original, secondary school graduation transcripts.
Scanned original, university/post secondary graduation transcripts (for post-grad).
Certified translation if applicable. All documents must be in English.
English proficiency test results.

So my question is: can I still apply for this course as a university graduate (with about 12 year study gap) or do I have to specifically go for a PGD program?

Thank you very much for your response. God bless you.

Please do you know any tested & trusted person who can help with the SOP? I do not want to take any chances regarding that.

Kween2014:
Hello,

I will try to answer from my little knowledge.

1. Any school or VO can accept your transition. Having a strong statement of purpose for both the school and IRCC takes care of that. It needs to be strongly worded and convincing for why you would like to transit. You also need to clearly highlight the career or business prospects post study and why you have decided to take that path.

2. This also speaks to your statement of purpose. I have seen people who decided to do a college diploma even after a BSC and they were granted a study permit because their statement of purpose was convincing enough.

3. I think you should focus on Jan 2024. A lot of schools are already closed for September entry and you also need to give yourself time to apply to various schools and put together your statement of purpose without any pressure.

4. I am not sure about this... an indepth research might give you answers.

5. Do you plan to move with your husband immediately? If not, you can use him, his business, other family members around you, you can get a pet, a letter from your church, join an NGO and get a letter from them, social work etc. All of these can help as home ties.

6. This is a bit confusing, since you said you don't live in Nigeria... buying a land in Nigeria may not be enough.

Can anyone help me please? I beg you. I know my post is long but I just wanted to share all the details so that there won't be a back-and-forth...

Eniolakate:
Hello All,

Please help me

I'll be 37 this year. I am married and we have a child.
I studied B.Sc Accounting at EKSU and graduated in 2011
I worked in the investment department of a bank between 2014 - December 2017. Since then, I did not get a corporate job so I started my own business (just a small one so no tax payment so far, and the business is registered in my husband's name)
I did TEF in 2021, and I scored CLB 6 so I had to stop my Express Entry race.
Now, I want to take the study route to Canada (but I am no longer interested in Accounting. I want to study Business Analytics.
Recently, I registered for a 6-month Google course on Project Management which I hope to finish in August. (I would have chosen a Business Analytics Google course but I couldn't find one so I picked the closest which is PM)

Other details:
My blood sister is sponsoring me for three-quarters of the money needed to study in Canada, while my husband is sponsoring me for the rest.

My questions:
1. Will the school/VO accept my transition from Accounting to Business Analytics? By then, I'll also be presenting my Google certificate for the Project Management course
2. I want to apply for a 2-year college diploma and not a Graduate Certificate since I'm transitioning.
3. Can I still meet up with Sept 2023 admissions or should I just focus on Jan 2024?
4. Which colleges can I try, please? It seems most colleges are not offering the exact course (Business Analytics).
5. I live outside Nigeria and I have applied for a Permanent Resident Permit in my country of residence. This may take 3 years to come out. I have a receipt and dashboard to print out for the VO. But is this enough home-ties to show? (We do not have any property in Nigeria or here. Although my husband has a corporate job and his own business registered in his name here)
6. or can we acquire a small piece of land in the village in Nigeria maybe by June, is that enough for home-ties?

I really appreciate this. Thank you so much

Goodnigga:
I suggest you go to Tobidam. They are mainly specialized on online tutoring and they have helped a lot of students, including myself both in Nigeria & Diaspora. In fact most people in Diaspora use them for online training. They have from 5, 6 months etc duration types.
They tutor Live online & are 24/7.

Thank you so much for your response, Amylew.
I'm currently on A2.1 with AF but the journey is so long and more expensive. I heard that people do this same thing in 6 months! So why not give another school a try hence my request.

I'll do as you have advised. Thanks so much.

Any other school/tutor recommendations, please?

Amylew:
Well, as the person I called said, their classes are divided into segments . For me, you can always opt out if they don't perform.
A1.1
A1.2

A2.1
A2.2

B1.1
B1.2 etc.

Do you get. Each class is 25k per month so u spend 2 months on one level. There are videos for you to watch anytime and zoom classes three times a week.
All this I know from debating too whether to join them or not and calling Joshua.
My point is you can try them for a month.

Hello Psalmizt, thanks for this info. But does it have to be updated on ones profile before it expires? I just want to know how its incorporated into the application (in case I need this info on the nearest future.)

psalmizt:
Congratulations. If your IELTS is due to expire within the next 2 months make sure you enrol for another one. The AINP process will take about 2months to finalise if your IELTS expires within that period your EE profile will be ineligible and AINP will close your application.

You don't need to worry so much about getting 8777 since you have this NOI. Just make sure you have a valid TRF

It doesn't matter the date it was given to you as long as they can eventually confirm you worked there when contacted by CIC.

Use the address below or To whom it may concern.

Good people,
I would like to request for a reference letter from my previous employer while I await an ITA. I was told that it could take months to get them to sign the letter.
Please guys, how should the reference letter be addressed (I want to send him a template).
I saw the below on page 1 but then, someone advised that it should be "Case Processing Center" and not "Centralized Intake Office". Please advise me.

Immigrations, Refugees and Canada
Centralized Intake Office
Sydney,
Nova Scotia

And again, will the letter be valid irrespective of the date it carries since I no longer work there? For example, if the letter is dated today and ITA comes next month..

Why was Stanbic Mutual funds rejected, please? I am planning to use this as my POF.

Dear E-FAM,

Please your advice is needed. In the light of all that has happened with the rejection due to POF investment in Stanbic money market, is it advisable to invest in same?

Our initial POF which was invested in 6 months Treasury Bill in GTBank just matured and we are thinking of the next line of action to take.

Please guys,
1. I would like to include my NYSC experience in my Pre-ITA profile even though I have 3.5years experience outside that. Should I mention "NYSC" under organization or the PPA were I served?

2. When asked which provinces I would like to live in, can I tick "all of the above" even though I am considering PNPs?

Thank you so much, Topsmamen
I really appreciate you.

Topsmamen:
1. Your actual duties are more important as job titles don't mean much.
2. Remove it, it's an ineligible NOC skill type.
3. This should go under your work history (post-ITA) as it does not give you additional points.
4. No, it does not.
5. You can apply to multiple PNPs at the same time.
6. Depends on whether you meet the requirements of the province. Check this page and look up each province to see which is favorable for you.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Eniolakate: 1:49pm On Aug 28, 2019
Dear good people,
Please help me with the below questions:

1. In my last work place, the job title stated on my employment letter was different from the position my manager asked me to assume, although it was in the same department but it was in a different unit. Which title should I write in my EE profile. Is it the one on my letter or what I actually did there? NB- The job descriptions are quite similar and they are both category A jobs
2. The first job I ever did is a Category C job. So, since it doesn't qualify for the EE, should I include it under Work experience while creating my profile or remove it?
3. If I remove it, should it form part of the number of work experience I have gathered over time?
4. Does creating a PNP profile negatively affect ones chances of being picked in the EE pool by the Federal?
5. How many PNPs can one register for?
6. Can you please suggest provinces one can apply to?

Please guys...is there a credible WAEC processing agent on this platform? I am currently not available to process this myself
Please I need a tested and trusted person wink

quote author=adenikeO post=76221030]

Get your Affidavit for confirmation of WAEC result first at High Court, I got mine at Igbosere behind TBS because of proximity to work, I must say that they are lions waiting at the gate to reap you off please beware! Typing and printing the affidavit is just 200 naira, then stamping it and getting the seal is 500 naira. Don't forget to take two passport photographs with you to the High court, You must also request for a receipt after stamping. The receipt issued will have #250 on it, but you know how far now. Lmao

After getting your affidavit, you must take these things below to the WAEC office.

1. 2 passport photographs (Write your reference number from WES at the back of the passport photographs)
2. Take 2 small brown envelopes (You are supposed to put the WES address and your reference number on just one of the envelopes)
3. WAEC result print out (1 copy is enough)
4. WAEC scratch card (You can get the scratch card in front of WAEC office in Yaba, the one they sell inside the WAEC office is not acceptable by WES because its just paper, can you believe that, lol). It cost just #1,500.

N.B: WES require that they scratch the card themselves, so don't buy a print out but an actual scratch card.

Now once you get to WAEC office, you can go straight to the reception and the lady you'll meet there would give you a form for you to cross check everything you are supposed to have with you. After that she'll direct you to the main building. But you can skip that part all together and just go straight to the main building.

Once you get to the main building, you'll sign in and fill a book. You'll be asked what you want and you'll be directed to the office. So I can't really explain where the office is but trust me you'll find people there doing the exact same thing as you, so no worries.

You'll pay 10,000 to WAEC for the result processing, then 10,000 for courier services. I used Fedex and they were pretty efficient. My result got to WAEC in less than 2 weeks, Fedex even sent me a tracking number prior to that time via text message.

I hope I have been able to answer your question. Gracias
You don't need to be currently employed. As long as your work experience is in NOC 0, A or B and was gotten within the last ten years, you're good.
Yes you can use only your husband's bank statement for POF. He will write a letter stating that you have access to the money
Thank you @Ifeoma77 and congratulations on your PPR !!!!!
