I went for a doctors appointment today after checking the baby he sid everything was OK.But I remember he sent for thyroid test the last time I came so I asked him dat was wen he remembered and checked.He said my thyroid level is to high for a pregnant woman and I have to repeat the test and den see a specialist if it's still as high as now or more.But my worry is that he knew I had a still born with an unknown cause in 2014 and 2 other misscarrage which wen I read abt thyroid disease on the Internet can b a cause of all the miscarriages and still born.so y did he not take the test seriously. Pls am so scared and depressed now I dnt know wat to do. It depends on the hospital, did my CS around 11:45am and I ate that night. I even ate 7am b4 I did the CS. But my younger sis was staved 4 3days b4 she was made to eat. Also I started having my bath the fourth day but wit no scrubbing on the incision site. The doc said I should wipe the surface with cotton wool and spirit just twice but not with same cottonwool. Just make sure the surface is clean in other to avoid infection.

I've had 3 C sections, 2 in naija , one in the Morika, the naija two, i took my bath after 3-4 days (can't really be sure, it's been ages) , which means i did as soon as i could stand erect, i only had to put a small strip of cloth so water wouldn't get on the incision site...

The one in Morika, Day 2, Dr came and said take your bath, nothing do you, said No oooo, nor be so dem talk for our Obodo, my Dr laughed and asked if i was planning to scrub the surface, said no, she said, take your bath normally and wipe DRY... that's all...

@Enkay, you don't bath for two weeks after CS cos you must not allow water to touch that area. Note;

You use soap and warm water to mop your body (leave out the operated area, don't touch with soap or water).

Taking care of the operated area, all you need do is soak your cotton wool in the spirit and wipe ones to your right and drop the piece, then pick another and wipe to your left and drop, repeat same like thrice. Don't use same cotton wool to wipe to your left and right. Do this like four to six times a day. Reason for this is that it get healed fast and it's also to avoid germs.

This is how my consultant thought me/us.

As per CS tinz, I don't really know much o. Even though I had an ovarian cyst removed once and I have a CS-like scar from it, I can't really remember how I managed. But like other mamas have said, tape it and have your bath as desired, I can imagine how you feel not being able to pour water on your body as you like.

As for kpekusing, like zaynie said, wear 'rainkot' until you can go to the family planning clinic to get the one that suits your body.

Not being able to pour water on my body feels terrible oh...
