As a Christian who has been walking a Christian way of life with God, what do you tell someone who just convert to Christianity or recommitted him or herself back to Christianity

Someone who before conversion or recommitment is already in a sexual relationship with someone he or she is not married to, though they maybe living together

Someone whose parent and family are telling her that she must get pregnant first before they can consent to her marrying or he must get his lady pregnant before they can bless him to go ahead. What do you say to a Christian brother or sister who is experiencing this scenario?

What do you say to a Christian brothers and sister who somehow find themselves in an unfortunate situation that requires that they must lie in other to get out of it? Torn between saying the truth and suffer the consequences or lieing and getting out Scot free.

There are some Christian brother and sister out there who are being force into a precarious corner to bear false witness against their neighbours, friends, relatives, co workers and someone they don't know, how do we advice such a person?

How do you advice and encourage a brother or sister whose marriage in danger of breaking up just because they converted to Christianity, recommit themselves or decided to up their spiritual life and get closer to God, how do one go about it ?

What give rise to this thread, is because of what a friend of mine is going right now in her relationship, her relationship is on the brink of collapsing.

Reason is that, she decided to fully live her life for Christ. She is a Muslim convert but was not living that Christian life that is demanded of us Christian. Now that she has decided to obey and live that life, her relationship of more than four years is on the brink of collapse because of her decision to say no to sex.

I got to know about this yesterday night after calling to check on her and she told me that her boyfriend slapped her for just no reason, at first i didn't believe it because i can't see a rational man slapping his girlfriend in her family house even though i knew there is an unresolved issue between them and i have been advising her to make up with her guy and pray to God before making any major decision on her relationship.

So after discovering the truth yesterday night, my advice change to " stand your ground" i advice her and told her that God never leave useless anybody who decides to follow Him and stay faithful to the end. I advice her that even if her family, parent or granny all encourage her to succumb to the wish of her boyfriend; she should stand her ground, that is true we are command of God to honour our parent but in this case if your parent do support you don't obey and God will understand because in this case you are obey His word and God word supersede man word. She should not concern herself about what people will say but about what God say. That she should not be confuse, that she has nothing to be confuse about. That she should see herself as an iron ore that must going through the furnace before something can be form out of it.

I decided to bring this here, so that those who in their Christian walk with God, who have experienced situations like or more than these can come out and share with us some word of knowledge and wisdom.

There are many Christian who being bombarded left and right with advices, pressure for our decision to walk a Christian walk with God.

You will here word like " God is a merciful God, He will understand" it is not everytime we will be doing it just once in a while, God know that body no be firewood" " but you people have been doing it before why stop now and you people love each other" " if you love me as you are claiming, prove it by making love to me" this and many words, phrase, clause and sentence are what we are being bombarded with everyday.

So to the experienced and overcomer brothers and sisters please come out and share your experience with us, so that we all can learn one or two things .

And to those going through this difficult stage, please feel free to share your experience, who knows somebody might have one or two word for you.

Saw myself in a dream with a lady, who to me look like a former school mate of mine. In that she was showing me the things she made from beads eg, bangles, necklace and other body adornment and we were outside and it look like front of her house or shop.

She was telling me how she built up and train herself to learn bead making in other to support herself and i remember in the dream she told me about her job loss. She brought out a necklace that contained lot of bead and the design was different, part of the necklace has an extension that look like board that contain small mirror and i ask was that part for and she said its for sleeping that is a pillow. I took the necklace from her and try it on to see the working of the pillow part and there was no foam and i ask how would one use this thing as a pillow, will the person place his head on the mirror or what?

She took it away from me then add some clothes or foam, place the necklace back on me again, raise the extending part of the necklace that's intended to be a pillow, raised it to align with my forehead and started wrapping clothes round about my head as if making a turban, in the process she place one of her hand on my chest and immediately i told her that am not comfortable with her on my chest, that am a young person and my body is hot oh.

she reply me without flinching and removing her hand from my chest and stopping the turbaning, that she has been told that i have more of female children in me than male and i was like wow immediately i remember a dream interpretation where i was told to be watchful of temptation and i was this girl and the other one who was in that dream which one should i flee from or is the first girl the wife i have been praying for. then i woke up.

No sacrifice can atone for the sins being practice then or that were being committed and because God so love us He has to sacrificed a sinless soul, a sacrifice with a spot of blemish for our redemption unto Him and that sacrifice turned out to be Jesus Christ the prince of prince, the messiah.

Accepting Jesus as our personal saviour and master is not enough but we need to follow up with a Christian way of living which has is principles based or is being guided by the law.

What am implied by that statement of confession of our parent sin is the confession of sin of iniquity and transgression committed by our parent or ancestors. This are sin of worshipping and sacrificing to idols and sin of utter rebellion to the authority of God.

These are sins whose punishment transcends to unto the fourth generation. In the commandment a fornicator or a thief bear the burden alone but the offspring of an idol worshipper par took in their ancestors punishment.

Reading Daniel 9, you will discover that he did not confess of their sins alone but also that of their fathers, i . e their ancestors , he has clear away the case hanging on their neck and settle with God.

Most of us are from home, family or family background of idol worshipping ( sin of iniquity ) and God will never change his word but through Jesus we have the grace of confessing this sins, ask for mercy and be forgiving of it. Thereby receiving freedom.

There are some of us who grew up in a Christian home whose parent have one way or the other engage in an act of rebellion toward God without carrying out a sincere confession of sin and repentance or some of us who called ourselves Christian but engaged in act of rebellion. When you knowingly disobeyed God word; saying there is grace, what do we call that?

I know we are not in the time of David who commit the sin of adultery and murder where there was no sacrifice to atone for it, or king sual whose sin of disobedience cost him and offspring the throne of Israel. Jesus death has made things easy for us giving us the grace to be free from the punishment of this sins but we need to acknowledged, confess this sins, ask for mercy and forgiveness.

And don't forgot, there are some of us who has given our life to Christ but whose parents still serve and worship idols. Whenever they make their prayers to their idols, the children name are sometime mention in a bid to secure protection for their children. That's why we need to be constantly renouncing, confessing and asking for mercy and forgiveness.

Bro fear not because darkness can not overpower light. Just keep praying your prayer and asking God for protection. Start your prayer with praise, confess your know and unknown sin, of your family, father and your father house, mother and your mother house, every sin of iniquity and hidden sin confess them all and ask that God should have mercy on you and forgive you and wash your clean with the blood of Jesus and rewrite your name permanently in the book of life with the blood of Jesus.

He doesn't go out to conduct deliverance or prayer. He walk according to instruction from God and this make him different from most of them. Try and call him today no matter what and explain things to him including the warning in the dream. He will invite you to come to deliverance but am very sure he will pray for you. Why am i writing this? What do i aim to achieve with this write up?

For sometime now, i have stop commenting on the political section of nairaland despite it being my best board to visit apart from religion. In the past no day will past by without coming on to the politics board, going through all the thread and comment but it became so frustrating when false informations began to take centre stage, when some called highly educated and enlightened people take over the section and expect them to believe and follow them. It became so frustrating when repeated lie and half truth and half false information began to sound so true and reasonable. It became so frustrating when people result to tribalism to score a point or shut an opposing voice down. It became frustrating when people who are not to be held in high esteem are being accorded the highest.

The Nigeria today is not the Nigeria we all want but it is the Nigeria that our actions and inaction has produced. You can not sow corn and expect to reap yam. We all want the best but we are not ready to give in the best, we all want good leader but we are not ready to be a good citizen. How can you be a good master without first being a good servant.

We are the first people that will cry blue murder over corruption of any sort but we are also the first that cry and curse an entire generation of a political office holder and the holder himself or a known person holding a position of authority who refuses to engaged or be associated with corruptions.

Today we are all blaming Jonathan for the woes of this country. Some called leader will come and point their finger to Jonathan, some else president and military ruler will and point their hand to Jonathan, some people of spiritual authority who supposed to know best will say Jonathan all because they have been excluded from the national cake allocation to the sharing committee, unfortunately many of us are so blind and myopic in sight and thought to know this or simply refused to believe this because of what they stand to gain from the whole mess.

If you like criticise me, insult me or call me a member of the 40 lap dog abi na laptop, i don't care. Jonathan is trying as far as am concerned but unfortunately his best at the moment is not enough and no matter how we push him, he can not do more than he is doing until we look inward into ourselves and do some deep soul searching.

When shagari was in power i was a baby, when buhari government led by late idiagbon was in power i was still a baby but a kid with interest in staring at newspaper even though i no understand wetin Dem write and the self acclaimed evil genus was in power i began to understand little by little and serious questions were forming in my mind them, questions that were leaving me frustrated and helpless. As small as i was then (10), the thought of planning a coup killing all the leader and rectifying things were always surfacing in my mind then, a thought that was being fuelled by the action of jj rawling of Ghana.

Why did i bring that little story about? Is because of those that will accuse me knowing nothing ( not that i know much ) and also because of those that will want to tell me how rosy things were before Jonathan or pdp led government. This Nigeria you are seeing today is a result of accumulated mess than span more than 3 decade and so don't expect Jonathan to clear up the mess and rectify things in under 8 or 10 yrs. Sensible people know this and some of you reading this know this. The opposition also know this fact very well and know it to be the truth and nothing but the truth but won't publicly admit because of their political interest. Jonathan know this fact also but for fear of losing out won't come out and tell us the truth.

Go back into history and you will discovered that all the names present in today political landscape has always be there even the new name have old names backing them. This are people with vested interest with a very deep and large network that is so knitted and powerful to frustrate the power and activities of the president. They can a saint devil and devil saint, a sincere person insincere as long as their interest is intact and protected. To them the cost doesn't matter even if it mean wiping off a whole village off from the earth. Ko kon won

What happening is a battle between the old brigade and some breakaway faction of the new brigade which Jonathan is representing. A battle for more relevance and supremacy but as it stand now it seem the breakaway faction will have to return back.

Why this long epistle of a thread, is because i yearn for the past when on nairaland politic board, sensible, insightful and enlightened comment and post were made. This Nigeria, though not the Nigeria we dream off but it is the Nigeria where our home is. Let stop fanning the flame of discord, anarchy, tribalism and stop being a willing and unwilling tools in the hands of our leaders.
