Those working there now are not Nigerians?

A typical Nigerian with access to lot of money is a financial danger unto himself.

You give him a 20 page agreement...he barks, what's this?? You expect me to read all this? Yet, this is a contract involving a huge amount of money. In the end, he reads through with a condescending frown, paying scant attention to the terms. He grabs his pen and signs. No comments. No questions.

Most just want to sign believing they'll sort any issues out in the future.

And then they soon realise the future is not far at all.

I came across one guy recently that is facing about N400m hit on a contract that is so bad I doubt he read it before signing it. Faced with the new reality, he told me '...and I trusted that woman so much, little did I know she was a devil. I will show her.'

Unfortunately he can't show her jack. There's no easy way out for him. The woman will be N400m richer soon. The only alternative is a lengthy court battle that'll cost him more than the N400m.

Well this is big lesson to all.

It would be financially suicidal for any Nigerian bank to fund it with lending rates in double digits. Such a project can only thrive with single digits lending rates.

Yes one of the factor by the bank that's why they too join in asking for federal government guarantee and obasanjo was not ready to, according him though a public infrastructure the project is a private venture and as such government has no business in it as they the operator will operate it for sometime before handing it over to government after they might have recoup their investment. ( note: the statement of obasanjo above is my own version of his ).

In fact this news was allover at that time.

Fund invested and profit, was considered when signing the contract at first, any contract signed i believe was agreed upon by both parties which I believe the court will settle, federal government insist its was 12years and bi- courtney say 36year

But if the agreement really stipulate 12 years, i think that's a bad investment decision for bi- Courtney because i don't see them earning their money back with profit. Well an agreement is agreement but to not discourage people from investing in the country the federal government should come out in the open about this with document backing them.

I remember in the past how babalakin was running up and down for fund to execute the lagos ibadan express road and how he investors even banks were asking for government guarantee to secure their fund in the project incase of change in government or over night overturn of government policy and also obasanjo statement when ask why he refuses to provide guarantee.

So the government need to play safe here as investors are watching

Babalakin won Lagos - Ibadan Express concession during Yar'adua's government.

No he won during obasanjo regime.

What happened in yar adua's government is he took them to court when yaradua tried to revoke the Lagos Ibadan express concession agreement and the government withdraw from carrying out its action because of the death trap in the agreement.

Assuming the agreement was revoke then by yaradua, babalakin would have walk home smiling loosing nothing and gaining everything. Money wey person no work for.

Fani Kayode was the Minster of aviation under OBJ when this contract was signed. Under Obasanjo and Atiku as vice, those thieves sold everything to themselves and their cronies.

This Wale Babalakin's father was a friend to OBJ. That's how he got this MM2 concession and Lagos Ibadan expressway concession. He did nothing on that road till it was taken away from him and fixing started late during GEJ's tenure.

The airport should be taken from Bi-Courtney and any staff found there should be flogged koboko. Unemployed Nigerians would be employed to take their places.

These are the reasons Obasanjo, Fani Kayode and Co didn't want Buhari back and I'm happy my Sai Baba is back to deal with all these idiots.

The Intels contract would not be renewed and Atiku can now face his businesses in Adamawa squarely. The oil licenses of these Generals won't be renewed but would be given to the good people of the ND. Let them cry blood.

Pity the guy small

If you're wise, your prayer should be this;"Lord let those who thinks they own Nigeria be put to shame and disgrace.Let the plans of the enemies of this country return back to their households and oh God,Let your will be done In the forthcoming election.

Good morning.

Yes you will pray the same prayer five times but each time you pray it, you will watch out for signs which confirm the prayer. You may wait for signs for up to 30 seconds, then say 'Thank you Jesus', then repeat the process until five times. I hope this is clear.
Yes it is, thank you.

Since I created this thread I've been doing some research on the topic and from what I found..in some families it doesn't matter whether the man did traditional marriage or not if the woman cheats on him and he eats the food OYO is his case, likewise the woman.

I've always said it that all traditions and religions are fully patriarchal and disgusting.
Men are allowed to cheat but women aren't,smh.

Wow! Thank you for your effort in finding out things yourself and coming to share with us. God bless you.

Patriarchal or not we should exercise caution in condemning our traditional because when this law were being set by our grand grand grand Fathers, we weren't there and no record to educate us on things or condition of things at that time that warrant them to make such a law.

Accepted the tradition is partial to the women folk but what can we do? All i can say is that we men should empathise with them and try in our own little way to balance the equation.

I once ask an elder why can't this law or traditions be amended to conform with our present day and he said nobody can change what the ancestors has set in place and sealed and when i tried to argued the tradition is set by humans and the ancestors are human too so what stopping us we human to amend it and he said i should go and try it.

Like one elder said this law of cheating and all that was to prevent we men fighting over women thereby leading to disturbance of the community peace and unity and moreover the community then where closed knitted ones. There are many reason to give but the fact is cheating is not good whether done by a man or woman.

Health / How To Fall Asleep 'within Two Minutes' According To The US Military Method by enm(m): 11:57am On Sep 12, 2018
A military secret for combatting sleepless nights has been revealed - and no, it doesn't involve marching through a desert with 50lbs of equipment on your back.

The US military developed a secret method for its pilots to get sleep in two minutes flat over fears they could nod off at the controls.

The method was revealed in a 1981 book called Relax and Win: Championship Performance, which gave readers advice on how to "improve sports performance and reduce injuries by learning to relax and release tensions prior to competition".The US army put a disclaimer on the method which read: "The bottom line when it comes to getting restful sleep is doing what works for you.

"There is no magical formula other than listening to your body."

Insomnia affects more people than previously thought and comes in two categories. Type 1 insomnia is when you can't get to sleep at all, and Type 2 means you may get to sleep, but will wake up at least once during the night.

There are numerous health concerns related to a lack of sleep - from diabetes to heart disease and depression.

A recent study by the Uppsala University in Sweden revealed that disrupted sleep patterns alter metabolism and boost the body's ability to store fat, making a strong link between obesity and shift work.

Meanwhile, research by the European Study of Cardiology found that getting less than five hours sleep a night could be as bad for you as smoking.

One of the methods detailed was claimed to be developed by the US military with a 96 per cent success rate after six weeks of practice - involving about two minutes of mind and body preparation, which should see people reach the land of nod in under 120 seconds.

Many people suffer from disrupted sleep, and as many as a third claim to have insomnia - so the relaxation technique has been hailed as a blessing.

The US Military Method
1: Relax your face - including your tongue, jaw, and the muscles around your eyes.

2: Drop your shoulders as low as they can go. Then relax your upper and lower arm on one side, and then the other.

3: Breathe out, and relax your chest.

4: Finally, relax your legs, from the thighs to the calves.

5: When your mind is clear, try to picture one of the following images: Lying in a canoe on a calm lake, nothing but blue sky above you; Snuggled in a black velvet hammock in a pitch-black room; Saying “don’t think, don’t think, don’t think” over and over for ten seconds.

The US army put a disclaimer on the method which read: "The bottom line when it comes to getting restful sleep is doing what works for you.

"There is no magical formula other than listening to your body."

This was the practice and belief during the olden days.

However, there is a caveat to it. The man must properly marry the lady and must not skip the traditional marriage unification that involves the man killing a goat for the woman...the isokos have a name for this, it has to do with ‘rescuing the head of the woman’.

The above is the reason why, if a woman cheats on an Isoko man, the woman must kill a goat for the man as part of the cleansing, but only if the man killed a goat for her.

If the man didn’t kill any goat, there is no killing of goat by the woman and no cleansing and nothing will happen to the man, because the main traditional thing of consulting the ancestors by the killing of the goat did not occur.

Also in Isoko beyond being a taboo, relatives don’t date each other, it is believed that the ancestors will strict both of dead unless you perform cleansing rituals....even seeing your relative unclothedness by mistake requires a cleansing ritual to avert the wrath of the gods.

But, like I said before; the efficacy of these things are in doubt today, becos many of these villages no longer worship these ancestral spirit, regular ancestral festivals no longer holds, evil forest has been taken over by development in many communities and religious growth have seriously watered down these.

Well I don't know about the killing of goat but all i know is once the bride price is paid or oyinbo wedding with your oyinbo wife is done, signed and seal, the woman should not try it. And my dear @helen4, no Isoko community or town is exempted from it. Let no one deceive you but a chit chat with those your elders or guys in the village will help.

Question is, have you try the prayer or join the program and see no changes in your life?

And if you can't afford to buy the ebooks there are countless prayer published by him online that are free, just follow instructions but take note in all let your focus be on God not man.

You know it is easy to condemn what we know nothing about and also have a different opinion on how things should be done but have we try to ask to find out why things are done that way?

Oh okay.. now we are landing there... grin

It's no longer a case of "Buhari lied that presidency budget was reduced"? the narrative is now "Buhari only mentioned a N14.5billion increase in NASS budget, he didn't mention in his letter that some presidency items were increased"...

You guys are just funny; is it a crime if you just say the simple truth while you play your opposition?

And by the way, did Buhari beg anybody to increase his presidency budget?.... This is like a thief who after a robbery, throws some pack of groundnuts over the fence of the police chief. After being arrested, he's now saying, "but I gave some of the loot to the police so the police should be blamed too." What sort of clownish defense is that? undecided

First all the presidency budget was not reduced.
And 2, you ask a question and i help provide an answer. Is it a crime to do so? Well how you wish to twist my answer is yours and yours only prerogative but when doing it think of the legacy it will created for those coming after us.

If after a robbery and the thief decided to throw some pack over the fence to the police chief and the police chief did nothing about it but take action after the arrest of the thief, is that not damage control? Why didn't he raise alarm when the budget was being debit here and credit here? Do you want me to believe that the presidency have no knowledge of what was happening to the budget in the national assembly? Let assume president Buhari was not aware, why didn't he reject it and return it to them drawing the attention of Nigerian to his worry or complaints? Let assume that for the sake of the economy of the nation he signed the budget, is it fair and just to not make known that of the presidency when he make known that of the national assembly?

My brother look closer with a clear eyes, ask the right questions and pertinent ones, defend what is right not just right but moral by so doing this country will be better for it.

Out of curiosity, I actually did as you said, I went back and read through the entire budget signing speech but still couldn't spot where the president complained that the presidency budget was reduced; I could only see examples of strategic capital projects whose budgets were reduced.

It's beginning to seem like the act of just raising blank accusations and then proceeding to unleash insults based on a false premise (all for 'likes' and praise) is the latest 'honourable' culture amongst Nigerian youths?... Just in case I'm wrong, I've quoted the entire speech below; can you kindly point out the line where the president said the budget to presidency was cut?

@OBAGADAFFI, you could also kindly help your friend to point out the line...

14. An example of this increase is the budget of the National Assembly itself which has increased by 14.5 billion Naira, from 125 billion Naira to 139.5 billion Naira without any discussion with the Executive.

That's your answer there. He shouldn't have just cite that of the national assembly own only, out of fairness he suppose to make known that of the presidency too to balance the equation.

Now everybody is attacking and insulting the national assembly and am very pretty sure that increase were not arbitrarily made by the national assembly but in conjunction with the executive. Let look beyond politics .
