Ibuprofen is safe. Allow your daughter eat to her fill Biko! Moreover 2-3 times a week isn't bad. Just make sure she gets her milk too.

I sincerely wish it's my son loving swallow and not golden morn and all them cereals.

I had this ankle pain when I had Atinuke, it was always to painful to climb stairs, Dr prescribed diclofenac and I was like I'm a breastfeeding mom, he said it doesn't matter since Atinuke was like 10 months old and not totally dependent on me. He said since she doesn't breastfeed during the day, I should use the drugs in the morning and afternoon so by the time she's sucking in the late evening most of the drugs are out of my system.
Did you tell him your child was eating solids already?

She is 9 months tomorrow and nurses only in the evening now... She is almost weaning herself but Na me still de force am when I'm bk from work.
I didn't tell him but I was there with my baby n he saw her.

I have severe backache since yesterday. Been to the hospital did morning and the Dr gave me paracetamol and Lofnac ointment to use, he said that he had to cancel the other medication he would have loved to give me cos I told him I was still breastfeeding.

Paracetamol doesn't work for me so I'm thinking of getting Ibuprofen.
Can I take ibuprofen while nursing? Biko this pain is so much. Any movement of any part of my body hurts like crazy.

2ndly I noticed my dd loves Okro+ewedu soup with swallow a lot (even more than breastmilk). presently she takes it 2 or 3 times a week but my mum thinks I shld give her more since she takes it well.
I hope it's OK to increase?

The drugs are ok. The tablet is arthemether lumefantrine. A little is excreted in breastmilk but no cause for alarm.

And my son hates spoon. He will open his mouth if you're feeding him with your hands but he won't open when it's spoon.

My DD only accepts feeding her swallow or soup with my hands...plus u have to be very fast especially with okro or any draw soup. 1 second delay isn't allowed

Pls mamas, when my baby is sucking I hear a sound in his chest like there is catarrh in there but doesn't flow from his nose. I usually add silverbird to his bathing water, use some to rub his chest,nose and feet and also put some on his pillow while sleeping. I even put menthol in very hot water and made him inhale it but he cried so much so I couldn't continue. I also use palm kernel oil on his nose and give him vit c (0.3ml daily) but no difference. Pls what can I do

Ok, This is the method I was told to try but I have 2 caveats:

1. I never see my own oh
2. I was told it takes a while (2 to 3 weeks) to be delivered so patience is key.

I Ordered from Mall for Africa grocery direct. It's about 3k for a pack of 78 and shipping is free. My own suggestion is to wait till I see my own before you put hand

I'm ok. LO and I have cattarh and cough and his appetite is a bit off but he's eating carrot puree (hates apple and peach), cerelac, August Secret foods and pap, of course with his beloved formula.

Meanwhile Mamas my LO's weight isn't increasing as rapidly anymore. I read as they grow older it kind of eases off, although he's growing taller (sleepsuits don dey tear for leg) but I just wanted to verify, that 1kg every month or so I shouldn't expect it again ba?

i think from 6 months their weight gain isn't as rapid as from birth anymore.

Also once they start crawling and all those excess activity, there is a tendency to shed some weight

Gerber has yoghurt for babies (I think it's a yoghurt+fruit mix). It's recommended from 6 months upwards.
I've not tried it for my baby yet (she's 8months+), but I'm contemplating doing so this weekend

We are on combo(formula n BM) yes,all had mucus!He is just cranky right now!The poop is d normal yellow colour n egusi like(we did more of BM 2day-so far just one formula feed 2day)

I don't really know much about ORS cos I've never had cause to use it but if it's a home remedy that can help, u can go ahead.

I think she's having constipation, she's been straining to pass stool since yesterday.

I also want to ask if the food she's taking could be d cause(nutriben and NAN2), this is d second time she's having d constipation issue this month. We were on EBF just started dis with her when she clocked six months.

How thick do u make her cereals? Add more water to make it lighter if it's too thick.
Give her water in between meals
Giver her water first thing in d morning b4 any meal.
I gave my baby mashed watermelon this morning n she pooped well n it was soft. It's my first time ever trying it sha. U can try it too n see if it ll make a difference. Pls make sure u remove all d seeds well.
