Realizing that pure PHP will take much of my time and I will have to build more class and modules to quick things up myself first get me down for about a week but I realise, it my site, it my idea and I can always use anything am comfortable with.

I divided not to be lasy and see how far I can go with pure PHP myself to build a real web app that will atleast be 90percent error free.

So I move on. As at that time am not a fan of JS so my design stick much with php that's more trouble but I move on.

The game actually change more from me wanting to build something to help other but what can I do with those tech that I think I know.

Note that as at the time I really don't like php frameworks, I believe they make things easy to build but they break thing easily for you in future without telling you, it just a matter of an upgrade or update that the truble will show it self and most time it not always a easy joke.

So I decided to start putting down my ideas, the first thing I realize was I don't want to let anything out also I want to exercise all my programming skills to build the site.

I use jQuery, pure JavaScript, pure php, MySQL, css, 2 css framework.

So I started building base on the idea on my head.

After about a week I discovered it could take forever to build what I intend building with pure php. The following are what I intend to have on the site.

1. login system
2. Registration system
3. Mini social media function. Where users can private send each other messages and also where user will have to send and approve connection request.
4. Post like function, where a user can post something that everyone can see.
5.profile
6.Image uploading
7.wallet. user will be able to send value to each other's
8. Password request and security
9. Security. I want to implement 3 level ofsecurity where to prevent users wallet, account, post
10. Chat system. I call it chat tray
11. shop
12. Job
13. Internal messaging
14. Email system
15. Vote, like and dislike
16. And more, I can always add to list if I remember

More reason I want to share these here is that I want to encourage upcoming programmers the more.

The whole idea started because I love to help people but have not being able to do it the way I really want until last year that I believe I have enough knowledge and other things I can impact people's life with. am not saying am good or the best in this those things but atleast I can teach what I know and give out of few that I have.

Sorry, I left the tread for a long time. Yeah a lot has happened to me and am still going to share.

First, I thank God that am still alive and health.

Yeah, Ensodev technology drop a product November last year and since then have been very busy struggling with how to make the product work at it peak.

The product name is called Pillersmaker. The focus of pillersmaker is build a community to help upcoming businesses and individual to achieve anything in with a very short time without experiencing much of what it would have been it you are not part of pillersmaker community.

Note not am not here to advertise pillersmaker, am here to share my experience about how I started it and where we are and the real purpose of pillersmaker. Though advertising the brand is not bad but it's in it infant and we presently target few set of people .

One of the things I learnt in programming is the big differences between I can do it, doing it and I did it.

The truth is you will never know that difference until you try building something with the few you know now.

Guy, think more of what you can give then, by so doing you will be surprised what you get in return.

Google bears no relevance to coding work, except you're looking for some script to download and use.
The api docs, references (ebooks) is enough. You dont need the latest api docs anyway, they dont change so often.
A program = data structure + algorithm. How much googling dyu need for that!

I guess you've got your materials and style that works for you.

I can't do project and put Google behind me, we are always side by side possibly because I hate to cram. I don't have time to weaste also, if I need to remember how to use a function in any language I Google it and I get lots of implementations usage...and choose which one is best for the present project, say rand function or rand_int function in php. Mind you I don't do copy and paste, but have learnt to read people's code and so I can get better.

If youre into new stuffs and new project then I don't think you will be able to do away with Google or the likes. I consider your ebooks and YouTube to be Google siblings in this matter.

It not a shame, sometimes I have complete documentations of all the tools open on a monitor and Google open sepreately. I consider Google as my tech lead.

Whatever problem I have got has been solved by someone somewhere and only Google or other search engine can help me get those info.

Yes, but must have permission to use others theams, it makes your work fast and even professional not to use a free theam just the way I get.

It will make the end products unique to other hundreds site with same ces theam.

The issue is not your code, cos your code will not help you here...your approach is the issue.

If you need a unique number for this, use MySQL as suggested but let me add this.

I believe each user will have an id, That is enough a unique number, if you can think deep you can always make it any length of digit you want.

Also if you can also create a column say uid and by the time you want to first register a user give the uid value of the least digit you want. Eg

Say you need 10digit
1000000000

Then the next user registering get
1000000001

The problem with this approach is that your users can assume others member ID.

Another way to do it is to use your backend language apart from JS to get the unique I'd but be sure that if you will always check the value for uniqueness each time a user signed it then you will experience slow site load as your user get bigger.

My best advice is you stick to the few unique data at hand..like email, id, timestamp of registration.

Have learnt never to make things complex for myself when it comes to programming.

Node.js is not a framework and there is no reason to argue about it as Google is there to help you out.

Node.js is open source, completely free, and used by thousands of developers around the world.

With the above cleared, call it a framework I no get issue with that just know that its the break through that allow JavaScript to handle backend responsibilities.

I use php than any other language that I know but I will advice you go for JavaScript .

Guys have said it all, JavaScript can handle web development and mobile app. JS will handle good graphic games even AI, so think of anything.

JS also is better if you will be doing lots of web work...if you master it well, you've got something for now and the next 30yrs to be proud off.

Php is good and not going anywhere and is getting better day by day...so make sure after mastering your JS you give php a visit expecially if you want to make money with programming in freelancing or in Nigeria.

Php can be used for AI, win app, mobile app, just anything but people don't know...though it seems to be best for web. Mark of facebook use few php in AI app running his house. Contact me on ensodevonline@gmail.com if you need more info on how.

Python is also worth knowing , so if I were you I won't throw it away...I won't stop and I will actually do something notable with the few I know. Python is the most fun language for now...if you are curious , and want to feel what people who understand low level languages like c/c++ are experiencing then python will get you close in AI, cyber security, ML, IOT, data science...I don't care what people think about that language but it the easiest language that can make you a millionaire in few years if you give it what it takes.

JS and PHP are the most important for anyone these days for web things.

My reply is base on web designing, development and mobile app.


first thing I will tell you is this, you can achieve this with most programming languages and except if the language has never been used to build a web project or app before.

But you need to have somethings at the back of your mind.

1 if you are the one to actually code the project I will suggest that you use programming language that you find convinent because you will be doing a lot of maintainace in the future. This leads to my next point.

2 if you will be giving the app project out for developers you have to stay close to the programming language that people in your region use most. The initial project coding is always great but maintaninance is always the other part , remember you will be hiring developers in future..soilders go soilders comes but pick a raffle(programing language) that the soilder in your area(country) handle well.

3. Java and C# are used well in the Enterprise world while php, Perl, JavaScript are used well in the freelancing world. There are some other languages like python also that's I consider to be at the middle. The chance is if u are giving the project to an IT company Java or c# will be used, while if you will be handling it you might just want to stick to the likes of php , python or others close to php like perl. I do not mean that you can't single handedly use c# or Java.

4. You have to know that some programming languages could cost you more money and time than the others now and in future. If you are developing mobile app you most know if you are going for native app then you will be coding for different is separately..hybrigde isnt like that because a source code can be compile for different is and that will help you in cost and time. Not that native app has lot of feature you could find hard implementing in hybrigde.

5. As a conclusion, I recently implement a payment system on my site with php, and I found it easy to do because am convinent with php,

Presently am rebuilding the site with php slim framework as the back end and Vue for the frontend. Though l code in JavaScript and its few framework even for backend I also do few python these day but I am good and best at my php.

Nigeria has lots of php developers and getting help with the language is easy, I can say the same for JavaScript and reasonable numbers Nigerian python programmers are showing up today.

Looking at the future advantage I will suggest you use JavaScript and have got my reasons.

1 you have the opportunity to do everything in just one language from your frontend to backend and even your mobile app if you are going for hybrigde app.

2 JavaScript is simple to learn and also any serious web developer most know few JS.

3 JS developer are increasing and the language is getting bigger daily because it been used for almost anything.

4. It will reduce your cost and you will easily find programmers to help you...

5. Good documentation, access to free standard tutorial on YouTube and lots of paid tutorials too.

6. It not difficult to get a JavaScript developer and it easy to figure out bad JavaScript codes if you have few knowledge or someone that can help you out.

ALSO
1 JavaScript is more suitable for this based on cost of time, money and learning curve and future on the project.

2 Itwill not be easy journey if you are to do it by yourself withjavascript oo, be ready to learn alot of things and task your brain and be ready to get broke because it will take your hustling time too.

3.Take time to make your own finding, check what people are saying about some of these languages, check the one you find convinent, master .

4. No language is better than the other, but programmers handle them better than each other.

5. Take you time to learn the core language before you move to framework..if you do you will be proud of yourselves and the time you spent learn the core language will forever be appreciated in your career.

before that, i believe in luck and that what one man dis and succeed another man can do and not succeed, yes if you have said this you are right but do you believe must people don't even try before believe they can make it from a business or not.

Number one thing any Nigerian should know is that if you should never be guilty of Nigerian poverty...chai i have had my own portion of it and i can tell you that in not easy to work your way out if you are still believing in luck and not take opportunities that are flowing around.

Go and check any country or environment that poverty there is of grade one, that country or that environment is the most endowed in riches and wealth but funny enough people there will be blind to not see it and most believe that it just natural or you have to wait for your time.

i really will not want to talk much about this because it not easy to get peoples mind set for a change that they did not see coming '' someone said the future that you did not plan for it the one the will surprise you''.

i know poverty and as much as i have run away from it, i can still fill its breeze around me, any mistake God forbid, you know what i mean. the only thing i did was to add to my knowledge and face a better means to earn good money.

I like this .. some of the things we expect to be seeing here...but writing code here might not be good idea as someone mentioned.

1. Makesure your brother has interest to the extend that his ready to give up all to study programming.

2. If you cant google it then you are not set to help your brother

3. If you throughly live in lagos and your brother has interest in programming for real and has gone to study in a place for 3 months he must have heard about better schools than the one he attended...if not it a sign that your brother could be less concern about programming.

4. I will advice you look for good courses on udemy and let him study at home for 3 months...then look for internship for him where he can through prctice what he has learnt.

On udemy you can still see good courses that will teach you 80% of what you need to learn in any programming language with practical along with the learning.

Get another course for the framework on the language he want to learn based on his line...web..or ...app.

Most programming schools around are not good enough and setups and standard are just rubbish.

c# documentation is great and community is large compare to Dart.

Dart can handle almost everything C# can but young and still getting better.

if am to pick i will go for Dart becasue it learning curve is easy and when it comes to mobile development flutter is like changing the way things use to be, simple yet native and great.

Am a php person and javascript it another world i belong and Dart seems to be combination of the two, i really dont see myself learning new language.

yeah, php is perfect naa the programmer get issue.

my Pseudocode are done on plain paper with a pencil not ink pen cos i will want to clean and rewrite .

this process also let me learn some keywords of hand, so reserve words that i do relent on my IDE intelisense to popup for me now stays in my head...not important really but it helpful and help me excercise my brain more.

I STOP WRITING CODES THE NORMAL WAY OR LET SAY WRONG WAY....

Recently i discovered that whenever the hold the power supply it always hard on me, i do waste most of my yime doing irrelievent things, funny enough for the past 2 years have been used to constant power supply about 18hrs in a day until recently that me might not sniff power supply in two days due to transformal issues or face off.

THIS IS HOW I BENEFIT FROM NOT HAVING POWER SUPPLY ALWAYS AGAIN.

the first thing i thnk of taking my laptop to places like shopping malls or resturants where the do have power generator running through out the day but i discovered i cant because because the sitting possition will affect my health and have learnt to just do i coding the right way.

i was so disturbed cos i really dont want to leave my house cos of how much have setup my home office and more importantly i have 100% time for my kids and wife.

as i was thinking about it something just hit my mind guess what PSEUDOCODE , stop dont run bro. to those who dont know what Pseudocode is.

I then pick a pen and a plain shit to give it a try for the first time in reality, i could remember i was thougt that in unilorin as then introduction to computer 2002.

This are the benefits i got from writing it.

1. i stop looking out for power supply, i use my time to write my method in Pseudocode then whenever they brought the power supply i convert it to standard php method.

2. it make my coding more faster than it use to be so i started maximising the little time i get to work with government power supplied.

3. it improves my productivities so that i dont skip steps when coding, i handle the flows and fastness rightly, security issues rightly, load only what i need.

4. Make documentation easy to setup and easy to prove to clients that i know what am doing and that i understand what they expect from me.

5. It helps me to time myself very well i reallity i dont have to add additional 2weeks because of uncertain things that might comes up, with Pseudocode, flowchart and my algorithm setup nicely. my client love my works more.

6. I increased the charges..yes i did cos i now give some documentation along with my work which will help anybody or programmers to be able to extend my work easily in future.

7. i can now convert my method to python or ruby or c#, i dont have to hard bent on one language and if any programmer lay hands on my documentation he can easily implement my method in his own understanding not neccessary php that i used and love so much.

How Do I Write Pseudocode?
Writing pseudocode is pretty easy actually:

Start with the algorithm you are using, and phrase it using words that are easily transcribed into computer instructions.
Indent when you are enclosing instructions within a loop or a conditional clause. A loop is a set of instructions that is repeated. A conditional clause is formed by a comparison and what to do if that comparison succeeds or fails. This technique makes sure it's easy to read.
Avoid words associated with a certain kind of computer language.

It turns out that there are some fairly standard words you can use. These include standard looping structures like the following:

FOR … ENDFOR
WHILE…ENDWHILE
There are also some terms for standard conditional clauses:

IF … ENDIF
WHILE … ENDWHILE (this is both a loop and a conditional clause by the way)
CASE … ENDCASE".

i will advice you not to learn how to code only learn how to do it writely pickup books on computer science and read.

this articule is not going to be complete if i dont mention more about flowchart and algorithm, so go ahead and read about those things.
