Apple users are told they face a £42.99 bill for the TomTom Western Europe app – after allegedly downloading it to their device. But the fake invoice is just a clever plot to get users to click and fill-in the cancellation form featured at the bottom of the email. Apple has packed a 2732 x 2048 resolution into the 12.9inch display, which works out as a Retina-worthy 264pixels-per-inch. Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, RIGHT, and the Facebook homepage, LEFT FACEBOOK has two-days to stop storing data from internet users who don’t have their own Facebook account – or it could face a steep daily fine. The US social network has been warned it has 48 hours to stop tracking data on people without a Facebook account, a Belgian court has ruled. Facebook will be fined a staggering £180,000 each day it does not adhere to the ruling, the court said in an e-mail statement. The Belgian court objected to the "cookie" technology used by Facebook to track a person's device up to two years after they have used it to access a Facebook page — whether or not they even have an account. President of the Belgian commission, Willem Debeuckelaere labelled the practice "disrespectful" of consumers. "The judge ruled that this is personal data, which Facebook can only use if the internet user expressly gives their consent, as Belgian privacy law dictates," the court added in a statement. THIS simple tricks trains your new Nexus smartphone to recognise your fingerprint – even if you miss the sensor. Google unveiled its impressive new Nexus smartphones last month. Both new Google smartphones boast the latest version of the Android operating system, improved cameras and a fingerprint sensor – bringing biometric security to the Marshmallow handsets. Huawei and LG – the manufacturers behind the new Nexus smartphones – have chosen to mount the fingerprint scanners on the back of the devices, beneath the rear camera module. It's convenient when you are holding the new smartphones one-handed, but it can take a little getting used to. Unfortunately it's not incredibly useful when you are using the smartphones on a flat surface, and the rear-mounted sensor can also be quite easy to overshoot – leaving you blindly fumbling to find the sensor to unlock your device. Facebook is blocking any URLs from the rival social network FACEBOOK has stopped users mentioning the name of another social network in conversations and posts across its website and mobile apps. Facebook has stopped its users posting links to social network Tsu.co. For those who haven't heard of it, Tsu.co is an exclusive invite-only social network that shares its advertising venue with its users. Unfortunately it is becoming a huge source of spam links on Facebook. As a result, the hugely popular social network has taken the drastic action of banning all mentions of Tsu.co across Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Typing in Tsu.co anywhere on either of the three services results in an error message. At the time of writing, Facebook-owned instant messenger WhatsApp appears to be unaffected by the URL ban. Sensitive details stolen from customers include their names, dates of birth, email addresses and postal addresses, according to a spokesman. But users' credit card and debit card numbers are not thought to be at risk, he added. The app – which is pre-installed on millions of handsets – lets people turn a photo taken on a phone into a postcard. About four million postcards are believed to have been sent via Touchnote since it was launched in 2008. It is still available to download on the App Store for iPhone users and Google Play for Android users. Read more >>> http://newsnewsblog..com.ng/2015/11/now-photo-app-used-by-millions-falls.html#0

A BENDGATE scandal is brewing around the Huawei-built Nexus 6P smartphone Google announced its Nexus 6P smartphone alongside a refreshed Nexus 5, updated Chromecast and new Chromecast Audio dongle last month. The Huawei-built handset replaces the hefty plastic shell of its predecessor with a sleek all-metal design and stylish, diamond-cut edges. Weighing in at 159.4mm x 77.8mm x 7.3mm, the Nexus 6P has the same pocket-straining footprint as its predecessor. But a controversial new YouTube video has raised some questions over the £449 device's durability. In the new online video, Jerry Rig Everything puts the brand-new Nexus 6P through a series of increasingly strenuous tests to check its wear and tear and push the device to destruction. The gadget-destroyer tests the strength of the Gorilla Glass 4 display, the aluminium back and the ability to withstand the dreaded bend test. But the online video – which has been viewed some 650,000 times online – has been criticised for being unfair. Here are the health conditions no man can afford to ignore once he gets past 40 WITH today marking the start of Movember – men’s health month – our writer highlights the top 10 areas to keep in check. It turns out it’s not a myth that your average man takes better care of his car than his health. In fact, the National Pharmacy Association says men visit their GP about four times a year compared to six times for women. Here are the health conditions no man can afford to ignore once he gets past 40. 1) MENTAL HEALTH In 2014, 12½ per cent of men in the UK were diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Therapist Rhona Clews (rhonaclews.co.uk) says, “It’s much more taboo for men to talk about their feelings than it is for women, especially among the older generation. Traditional ideas of masculinity connect to holding feelings in and resolving situations on their own.” If your mental health is on shaky ground, talk to your GP, open up to friends and family or make an appointment with a therapist. Focusing sound waves produce heat and can be used to burn away nerve cells ULTRASOUND could take over from radiotherapy after a pioneering clinical trial showed it can prevent pain in cancer patients. Using the same principle as a magnifying glass directing sunlight to burn a piece of paper, the ultrasound beam is focused on a specific point to create heat. It can burn away the nerve cells close to tumours that cause pain and even destroy cancer tissue. The sound waves used are nearly 10,000 times more powerful than an ultrasound pregnancy scan. Professor Nandita DeSouza, consultant radiologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey, said: "The trial has had very positive results and we have been able to reduce patients' pain significantly. The future for this treatment is exciting and it could one day replace radiotherapy." Read more >>> http://newsnewsblog..com.ng/2015/11/ultrasound-to-replace-cancer.html#0
