A SHOCKING new video shows the exact moment a self-balancing board – dubbed hoverboard – ERUPTED into flames under the owners' feet.

This terrifying new footage shows the moment a hoverboard bursts into flame under the owners' feet.
British hoverboard owner Kevin MacLeod claims he was filming his first attempt on the new gadget because he "thought i would end up falling over and wanted to catch it on video."
But smoke quickly starts to pour out of the device when Mr MacLeod places his feet on the self-balancing board.
"I started to stand back and look hesitant because I started to hear a kind of faint hissing sound just before the smoke, I stood back to look down as to what it was," he posted on YouTube.
"Before I could really react to that it was smoking then just went up in flames."

It doesn't take long before the hoverboard bursts into flame – and Mr MacLeod has seconds to jump out of the way of the fire.
Unlike previous videos of hoverboards burning, this model doesn't shoot out its batteries or begin to spew foam.
But that might be because of the full kettle of water that Mr MacLeod quickly dumps on the burning 'board.
Mr MacLeod doesn't name and shame the brand name of the hoverboard, but at the beginning of the YouTube video, which has now been viewed more than 93,000 times, the hoverboard can be seen being removed from a box that reads, Smart Balance Wheel.

WHATSAPP users have been warned against a dangerous new malware campaign, which hopes to trick messenger users into installing an executable file.

Criminals hope to trick WhatsApp users into opening the email – and downloading the attached virus

Cybercriminals circulating malware have set their sights on WhatsApp users, researchers have discovered.
The malware is being distributed in emails, which look as if they have been sent from an official WhatsApp account, researchers at Comodo Labs have revealed.

Messages from the criminals contain suggestive subject lines including, "you have obtained a voice notification", "an audio memo was missed", "a brief audio recording has been delivered" and "a short vocal recording was obtained".

Some WhatsApp users are being sent other notifications too, including a fake notification about a new video note, Comodo has confirmed.
None of these emails originate from a WhatsApp email address – but are "disguised with an umbrella branding", the security firm added.
Each of these malicious messages contains a compressed ZIP file, which will unleash the hidden malware inside.
The malware usually replicates itself into different system folders, adding itself into an auto-run in the computer’s registry.

Africa will on Thursday honour its illustrious sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves across the world, playing or administering football in the last one year at the 2015 Glo CAF Awards.

The annual award, sponsored by next generation telecommunication network, Globacom, will be a gathering of top football celebrities and government officials across Africa at the International Conference Centre in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.

Top sports administrators and government functionaries from different parts of the world are in Abuja for the ceremony, which will be presided over by the acting President of FIFA and President of the Confederation of African Football, Issa Hayatou.

Over 100 pressmen from across the globe are covering the 2015 GLO-CAF Awards, an annual soccer event which celebrates the best of football players of African extraction.

About two weeks ago, CAF pruned down the final list of African Player of the Year to three players .
In the African Player of the Year Award category, the top three players are

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon and Borrussia Dortmund of Germany;
four-time African Player of the Year, Yaya Toure of Cote d’Ivoire and Manchester City; and
Andrew Ayew of Ghana and Swansea City FC.


Mbwana Aly Samatta of Tanzania and TP Mazembe, Baghdad Bounedjah of Algeria and Etoile du Sahel and Robert Kidiaba of Democratic Republic of Congo and TP Mazembe are the top three nominees in the Africa-based ‘Player of the Year’ Award.

The list was prepared through a vigorous selection process by the Technical, Football and Media Committees of CAF, taking into account the performance of the players for their national teams as well as clubs from January to November of each year.
The top acts expected to entertain guests and VIPs at the event include singing sensation, Salif Keita, an afro-pop singer cum songwriter from Mali, who is rated highly because of his reputation as the “Golden Voice of Africa”; Ladysmith Black Mambazo, a South African male choral group that sings in the vocal styles of isicathamiya and mbube. Awilo Longomba, a Congolese musician who was a drummer in Viva la Musica, Stukas, Nouvelle Generation, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known by his stage name Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian born producer and reggae-dancehall musician.

Ahmed Soultan, a Moroccan singer artist, considered as one of the leaders of the “Nayda” (new urban Moroccan scene) and Sammie Leigh Bush Jr. known professionally by the mononym Sammie, an American R&B singer best known for his hit, “I Like It”.
Some of the biggest stars in Nigeria have been lined up to also light up the evening.

They include the wave-making hip-hop super star, Dapo Oyebanji, a multi-talented and award Nigerian songwriter and performer, Mavin records’ prince and princess, Korede Bello and Hadiza Blell, popularly known as Di’ja, alternative soul singer, Bez Idakula, one of Nigeria’s most prominent female singers, Omawumi, Ego ‘sweet voice’ Ogbaro and master guitarist and legendary King of Juju Music, Sunny Ade.
All of these top musicians cum entertainers are also Globacom Ambassadors.

All roads lead to the International Conference Centre, Abuja where the new King of African football will be crowned tonight, the organisers said in a statement.

APPLE will ditch the industry-standard 3.5mm headphone port on its next iPhone in favour of its "thinnest design yet," an increasing number of sources have claimed.

High quality audio will be handled via Apple's own Lightning ports

Apple is expected to drop the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack from its next iPhone design.
Instead, the iPhone 7 will support high-quality audio playback via Apple's reversible Lightning connector as well as wireless bluetooth headphones, sources claim.
Dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack – a hundred-year old technology based on analogue signals – will save space inside the device for new components.
Two Chinese sites, Anzhou and Macotakara, have quoted anonymous sources from within Apple's supply chain.
They claim the US firm has been able to shave "more than a millimetre" from its latest iPhone design, thanks to the move away from the 3.5mm jack.
The current models, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, measure 7.1 mm and 7.3 mm respectively.

Twitter could be on the verge of loosening its decade-old restriction on the length of tweets – 140 characters.
The US social network hopes the increased freedom will help it to appeal to a larger audience, currently catered for by Facebook, Reddit and other forums.
CEO Jack Dorsey telegraphed Twitter's intentions in a tweet published after the technology site Re/Code reported the company was exploring increasing its limits on text from 140 characters to as many as 10,000.
Twitter co-founder Mr Dorsey didn't directly address the Re/Code report that cited unnamed people, but he made it clear that Twitter is not wedded to its 140-character limit.
He illustrated his point by posting a screenshot of a text consisting of 1,325 characters.

NewsNewsBlog..com has tested the simple workaround on an iPhone 6S running iOS 9.2 and can confirm it works.
Here's how it works –
1. Create a new folder on your iOS homescreen (you can do this by holding down on an app icon until it starts to jiggle, then dragging it on-top of another app)
2. Move the iOS apps you want to hide into the new folder
3. Once your chosen apps have been moved into the folder, tap and hold on the app icons again
4. When the icons begin to jiggle, pick one of the apps and drag it to the right of the folder

ARSENE WENGER reportedly wants to follow up the signing of Mohamed Elneny with Troy Deeney.

Arsenal are closing in on the £7million capture of Basel midfielder Elneny, who is set to fly in today to seal his move.

Elneny will help provide cover in an injury-hit area for Wenger, who has Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky all sidelined.

REAL MADRID have confirmed Zinedine Zidane has taken over as their interim manager until the end of the season after sacking Raf Benitez.

The 2015 Headies Awards that took place last night was what many considered as a flop in execution of the whole awards, nominees where being questioned, it also created the first controversy and what is leading to a full blown feud between Olamide and Mavin boss, Don Jazzy.

It all started when Reekado Banks, who is under Mavin Records beat the likes of Lil Kesh, Korede Bello, Cynthia Morgan and Kiss Daniel to win The Next Rated Award for 2015.
This obviously didn’t go well with Olamide and he made his feelings known when he climbed the stage with the whole YBNL team, when his artist Adekunle Gold won the award for Best Alternative act for his song, Shade.
While expressing his appreciation, LilKesh prostrated before Olamide who then took the mic and said; “This award belongs to Lil Kesh. Lil Kesh is our own Next Rated artist. F**k that shit! The streets ti take over. Every f**king single was a hit back to back. From lyrically to Shoki to Efejoku. Ko ni dafun Iya anybody”, he then threw the mic down and they all walked off the stage.
After Olamide’s speech, Don Jazzy won The Special Recognition Award & while taking his award, he addressed Olamide’s rant on stage. He said “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and take it.” (Next Rated win comes with a car).

Last Night was a total disaster as fans, viewers and artistes went home with sad faces as we saw the likes of Olamide and his YBNL boys go gaga on the stage to show their anger for one of their own, Lil Kesh, not winning the The Headies 2015 Next Rated Star. As if that wasn't enough, we saw Don Jazzy, Boss of Mavin Records, come out on stage to give them what I will call one of the most painful befitting reply.
