FACEBOOK will now send you a notification if it suspects you have been targeted by a nation-state. Facebook has launched a new type of notification which warns social network users if there account has been targeted by hackers working for a nation-state. The new notification, which was announced earlier this week, is not an indication that Facebook itself has been hacked. Instead it is triggered by malware on the users' computer or smartphone that is being used to try and access your Facebook account. Facebook Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos announced the news on the hugely successful social network's blog. "While we have always taken steps to secure accounts that we believe to have been compromised, we decided to show this additional warning if we have a strong suspicion that an attack could be government-sponsored," he wrote. "We do this because these types of attacks tend to be more advanced and dangerous than others, and we strongly encourage affected people to take the actions necessary to secure all of their online accounts." APPLE could be about to lose its monopoly on pressure sensitive smartphone displays. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is still six months away from hitting UK shelves – but there is no shortage of rumours surrounding the upcoming Samsung handset. Samsung is believed to be developing a pressure sensitive display for its next generation Galaxy smartphone. The South Korean technology firm has approached Synaptics, which has developed a 3D Touch alternative called ClearForce. Similar to 3D Touch, ClearForce responds to various levels of screen pressure. The pressure sensitive technology will allow Samsung to add control options to the display than the traditional swipe, pinch and tap used on multi-touch smartphones. Apple introduced pressure sensitive displays to its product line with the Apple Watch. The Cupertino firm incorporated its new technology into its best-selling smartphone with the release of the iPhone 6S in September. 3D Touch allows faster access to a number of new menus baked into iOS. The number of people struggling with fertility issues has increased tenfold TRYING to get pregnant can be a testing time but we've spoken to a pregnancy expert to try and sort out the myths from the truth. Dr Marilyn Glenville spoke to NewsNewsBlog..com about pregnancy and how women can strengthen their chances of starting a family without help from science. The number of people struggling with fertility issues has increased tenfold over the past two decades, and the figures show at least 25 percent of couples planning a baby will have trouble conceiving. Is there anything women can do to naturally increase their chances of getting pregnant? Well actually, the position you have sex in could be vital. Dr Marilyn said: "According to some experts the positions both you and your partner assume during and right after making love can significantly affect the passage of sperm into your vagina to your fallopian tube. At least 25 percent of couples planning a baby will have trouble conceiving "The man-on-top position has the best chance of getting a woman pregnant, but there are no studies to prove this." She added: "The rationale is that this position allows for deep penetration so the man’s sperm can be ejaculated as close to the cervix as possible. "This gives the sperm cells a flying start on their long journey, as the closer they are to the ripe egg waiting in the fallopian tube several centimetres further up in a woman’s body, the more likely they are to reach it." Dr Marilyn, who's running a Fertility Retreat at Champneys in Tring this November, elaborated: "Logically, any position that goes against gravity, such as woman on top or having sex sitting or standing up, discourages the sperm’s journey upward and is thought to deter conception. THE old wives’ tale that carrots are good for your eyesight may be right. Pigments called carotenoids, which give vegetables such as carrots, peppers and spinach their colours, can slow the progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), researchers claim. The condition, which is one of the most common causes of vision loss in older people, affects 600,000 people in the UK. The Harvard University-led study used data from a survey that tracked more than 100,000 over-50s for 25 years. It found that those who consumed the highest levels of the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin had a 40 per cent lower risk of developing the advanced form of the condition than those who ingested the least. Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in high concentrations in the macula, part of the inner eye. They are known as the macular pigment. The pigment protects the macula by preventing cell damage and filtering out damaging blue light. Good sources of lutein and zeaxanthin are dark, leafy vegetables and eggs. Eating healthy with lots of green leafy vegetables can help reduce risk Cathy Yelf, chief executive of the Macular Society Read more >>> http://newsnewsblog..com.ng/2015/10/eating-carrots-can-help-your-body-fight.html#0

The latest malware attack affected both PornHub and YouPorn, two incredibly popular porn websites PORNHUB and YouPorn are the latest in a string of hugely popular pornographic websites which have fallen prey to a cyber-attack. A number of high profile porn websites have fallen prey to a malware attack, according to security firm Malwarebytes. XHamster – the 71st most popular website in the world – was last week hit by the attack. PornHub and YouPorn were both attacked over the weekend. The malware is found in advertisements on the website, which redirect users to fraudulent webpages. The advert – which claimed it was for a service called Sex Messenger – was laced with tools used to identify whether or not the user was genuine, or simply a bot. The malware could then work out if the visitor was running Microsoft's Internet Explorer, identify their security settings and then redirect them to a fraudulent webpage. Dubbed malvertising, the technique is often used to install ransomware – which holds the PC owner hostage with threats of exposing data, or with false accusations of criminal activity. Those hit by the virus are given instructions on how to pay an imposed fine. The malware attack on PornHub and YouPorn posed a serious risk as the sites attract around 800 million users per month. FACEBOOK has finally embraced GIFs and you can even use an animated seven-second clip as your profile picture. Here's how to do it. Facebook has made some MAJOR changes to your Profile Picture. The decade-old social network, which was visited by a billion users on a single day back in August, has today introduced support for animated profile pictures. Facebook users will be able to record a short looping video, similar to a Vine or animated GIF, to use as their profile picture for the first time. The new animated Profile Pictures are being trialled in the UK – so don't expect to see the new GIF-style profile pictures filling your News Feed just yet. But if you want to test out the new GIF format you need an Apple device running the latest version of iOS and Facebook. If you are one of the lucky few who has got the trial functionality, you can get started on your new picture by simply navigating to the More tab in the bottom right-hand corner of the movie app. Select your Profile – if your picture is located in the middle of the page, then you have been updated to the new app. The redesigned profile page will also prompt you to add a new summary bio. To use a GIF on the page, tap on your Profile Picture, as if you were going to upload a bog-standard static snap.
