Firstly, when has a Muslim or Christian becoming president helped Nigerian masses achieve anything. I am a Christian from the southwest living in Lagos and we have conquered the religious squabbles that have brought turmoil to other regions in the south and made some places unliveable in the north. Just like Tinubu who is a Muslim with a Christian wife, many families in the southwest also have the same scenario and most of the children are allowed to pick the religion they decide to worship or practice. Fashola the former governor of Lagos is a Muslim man who has a Christian wife, and to add to the purity of their union they are both married to just one wife. My father was a Christian and my step mom is a Muslim, do i love my siblings any lesser i don't think so. My best friend is a Muslim, whenever sallah time comes we Christian's are the ones going house to house to chop our own meat. As soon as Christmas or Easter comes around our Muslim friends and family are celebrating it with us. What happened in Owo, Ondo was pure wickedness and trust me the perpetrators will be judged by God Almighty for their evil deeds. Why did a group of armed men kill members of a catholic church mostly populated by ibo's in a southwest town a day before the APC primaries, which had a chance of fielding a popular southern Muslim as its candidate. Only God can answer that question, but what i know is had that incident happened in any other region in the south, a counter attack would have happened in a nearby mosque and a religious war would have broke out. To attest to the love shared by the Muslims and Christians in the southwest the Imams and various members of different mosques went to the church to show their support and to voice their anger over this needless deaths in God's house.

As to the issue of muslim- muslim ticket i don't see anything wrong with it, because in an election you have to win before you can make changes. You have to align and re-align to put the best possible scenario to achieve your goal.
In the south you only have Muslims in the southwest and maybe Auchi, Edo state in the south south. So a Muslim is a minority in the south and in the north out of the 19 governors only three are Christians. So with the religious implications in the north, the northern Christian's are a minority. Elections are meant to be won, so how does the apc candidate who happens to be a minority yoruba Muslim team up with a minority northern Christian whose party apc has only one of the three christian governors in the north. Plateau is the only apc state in the north with a Christian governor and don't forget Plateau state is north central and the party chairman is also from north central. He either picks his vp from northeast atiku's zone or northwest that has the highest votes. As a team player he asked the north to pick his vp, because whoever becomes vp will be the most powerful politician in the north.

All i will say is that tolerance is all that matters, since 1999 when the presidency or the vice presidency went to the north, the presidency or vice went to the majority southern Christians. In all that time the minority southern Muslims have never complained, the last time it happened in an election was during the time of abiola. The northern Christians need to find a unifier in the north, the same way the minority southern Muslims have been able to find a unifier in the south.

Going through the primaries, you will realise that the 109 senators and the 360 house of reps members never actually read through the new electoral amendment act.

They were just screaming, "Mr President sign! Sign! Sign!" without even knowing what they have sent to him to sign.
To sound elitist, a lot people kept disturbing our eyes and ears with .. "Muhammadu Buhari is scared of signing!".. what do you know was to be signed.. These lots never showed their constituencies!

From the selection of only delegates.. these funny politicians didn't even know when they wrote off their statutory delegates!

Like football coaches, it was their duty to inform their parties that the game has changed!

They don't even know when they nipped in what made the Yørúbas opt for another candidate other than Yemi Osibanjo, because a VP who has done 2 terms can now only do a one term as president.

This was where Ebele Goodluck Jonathan was seeking for clarification, to know if he is still eligible because, he has done VP that jumped into two terms and a one term President.

PDP has not told their supporters that by the new electoral laws, Atiku Abubakar can only do a one term, haven done 2 terms as VP.

The new law does not permit anyone who has contested for primaries in one party to skip to another for any position in the same election year. So the Mr.Peter Obi coming to PDP or NNPP Kwankwasiya teaming with Peter Obi is gone.

The law does not even permit that any of those that has contested for any position to take up any other in the same year.. so the story of Nyesom Wike or Yahaya Bello, being a VP is off for 2023 cos they can't aspire for president and VP in the same electoral year.

Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Akpabio, etc who have variously contested can not vie for senatorial position or Vice Presidency respectively..

In fact, the scenerio that made Atiku a VP can't happen again, where he won as governor and was later picked by Olusegun Obasanjo.

A beg as you are struggling to get your PVC, struggle to know the rules of the game! Go and read and understand the Electoral Laws.

The smart ones like Peter Obi left PDP before primaries. Akpabio stepped down and did not participate in the primaries. But Lawan went through primaries and failed. So he cannot go back for another post. This time will be very interesting. The judiciary should brace up.

I am really not surprised that Atiku picked Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 elections. Personally, i could not have expected anything better.

In my opinion and from his desperate antecedents, we all know that Alhaji Atiku is only contesting for one purpose only - to enrich himself and his allies to the fullest extent possible with Nigeria's resources.


Atiku on his own is a someone that is well known as "not particularly honest" politician. He still has the American fraud case pending on his head and we all remember how he allegedly sold off most of Nigeria's assets to himself and his allies. One can only imagine how Nigerians will be looked upon internationally with an alleged fraudster jetting around the globe as the Nigerian President.


That said, Okowa of Delta State is one made that has also been privileged to hook his claws into Delta State treasury for decades. Atiku obviously picked okowa because he is relatively unknown nationally and therefore will not outshine his boss. Moreover as someone that is allegedly known for looting Delta to stupor, Okowa will not have any moral dilemma when the sharing of Nigerian loot begins. Its designed to be a free for all buffet, with the Nigerian masses paying the ultimate price!


Should the duo win, life is about to become hell for anyone not opportuned to be close to the ruling class. I do not expect any meaningful impact or development in Nigeria under Atiku/Okowa.

Very tough election it's up to Nigerians to decide for themselves vote wisely. Learn to appreciate people's choice and avoid toxic politics.

Back to the Topic at hand. Is Okowa really the right choice. I think it's based on ethnic and geo politics. But the fact is any candidate winning this election is winning with a very small margin.

The choice of Dogara or any Christian will make Tinubu lose northern votes. If he dares choose a Muslim, the south is gone.

Now, the choice of Wike will further make the Atiku ticket unpopular in both the north and south.

No Igbo man will vote Atiku with Wike as running mate after Obigbo massacre and telling the world he’s not Igbo.

Okowa will work against them in Delta.

After breaking Obaseki’s neck in Edo PDP, Obaseki will work against an Atiku/Wike ticket.

After losing out on both the presidency and vice presidency, Udom Emmanuel will not be enthusiastic to campaign for them in Akwa Ibom.

Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke don’t like Wike in Cross River.

Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa and Wike no dey waka same road.

I do not think the Yorubas will be so enthusiastic to vote Wike either.

So where will Wike get the southern votes for Atiku?

Well sha, everything is working out for the good of Peter Obi.

Please, forget those things and stop creating unnecessary religion tension. El-rufai is know for demolishing illegal structures without minding who is involved or what the structure is right from when he was FCT minister.
A mosque was demolished is my place, Auchi because it was classed illegal structure.

We should always do the right by building our mosques and churches in the right place to prevent reoccurrence of demolition.

Why are you guys not factoring Kwankwaso (NNPP) influence in NorthWest especially in Kano, Jigawa, Katsina and part of Zamfara. The only place his influence isn't much in that region is Kebbi and Sokoto.
