All said and done, this is a DUMB move.
I don't support. GEJ approached Col Umar to join his cabinet, he turned it down,
He approached Ngozi, she gave him simple terms: Restore the Planning powers of the Finance Minister, he turned around and brought back Aganga
If it is true he is courting Buhari, he may get a heartbreak cos the EFCC post is a trap for the General

^^ Go check your head.
This same Buhari has written his name in gold as the one man who spent the longest periods in the Presidential Tribunal in the annals of Nigeria.
The climax was when he dragged Yar'adua to the supreme Court and the Apex Judges voted to a tie. 3 said yar'adua should be removed, 3 (bribed ones) said no. So to break the jinx, the then Cheif Justice of Nigeria cast a vote in favour of Yar'adua. Where are we today??

So if there is any politician/Stateman who has spent more money on Electoral Litigation, its the humble General.

I like many of your posts, but this one is uncalled for.
Have you verified your claims that Aisha2 has been banned?
For all I know, it was a misunderstanding which Forum Owner didnt manage properly.
As for Beef, I think he opted out for now. Or using another ID.
Rhino5dm is intelligent but can use very RAW and abusive words angry.
However, I don't think he is banned.
Moderators may throw more light on these.

^^ Your case is beyond repair! Sorry, you may live and die with that lie. Maybe in heaven or hell (whichever you work at), you will realize too late that Buhari was chosen by the likes or IBB, David Mark and other evil geniuses to bring his integrity on board just to 'legitimatize' an ilegitimate usurpation of a democratically elected Government.

Look at it this way:
Tony Anenih stole Billions that was appropriated for Benin-Ore Expressway, and as a result, atleast thousands of people are either dead or deformed and vehicles and products perish on an annual basis. Just one man and his corhots!

Boko Haram detonate bombs and hundreds die annually.
Niger Delta Militants kidnap Oyibos and bomb oil facilities, only those who resist their mission or refuse to heed warnings are killed or maimed.

From the above, you can see the hierachy of wickedness!

Zaid also claimed that the bomb his group used in the attack was a ready-made one, which the sect acquired from abroad. “And we are going to use several of them in future attacks,” he warned. The group dismissed media reports and commentaries that suggest it might not have planned a suicide attack but that the bomb blast was merely an accident in which the attacker was trapped, insisting that it was really pre-planned.“Everyone had waited patiently for the outcome of that operation,” said Abu Zaid. According to him, the car that was used was not a Mercedes Benz ‘V-Boot’, but an ash-colour Honda 86 model.“I was surprised when the police said the car was a Mercedes ‘V-Boot’,” he said. “It was never a Mercedes. The car used for the attack was an ash-colour Honda 86. We are surprised over the way the police are confused anytime we strike

'He had left N4 million in his will for his five children – two girls and three boys – before embarking on the fateful journey to the nation’s capital'

Reported By Ahmad SalkidaMaiduguri
The man who bombed the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja on June 16 was a fairly well-to-do businessman who was actually on a suicide mission on behalf of the Islamic sect the Boko Haram, Blueprint can authoritatively report.Mohammed Manga was a 35-year-old married man with five children who drove overnight from Maiduguri to Abuja in order to carry out the morning attack which left about five people dead, including a police officer, and many cars incinerated in the blast. He had left N4 million in his will for his five children – two girls and three boys – before embarking on the fateful journey to the nation’s capital. There was proof also that Manga was accompanied on the deadly mission by at least a collaborator in the plot, who took his last photograph alive as he drove through the streets of Abuja. The collaborator(s) might have disembarked from the car before Manga reached the Louis Edet House headquarters of the Nigerian Police.Blueprint can also authoritatively report that, contrary to a claim by the police authorities that the bomber had used a Mercedez Benz ‘V Boot’ car in his terror mission, he actually used a Honda 86 model. These shocking details and others were made exclusively available to this newspaper by the leadership of the Islamist sect, Jama’atu Ahl-Sunnati Lil Da’awati wal Jihad, popularly called the Boko Haram, in a telephone interview in the Hausa language, fielded by the group’s spokesman who goes by the name Abu Zaid. The group also e-mailed to our Borno State correspondent startling photographs of a grinning Manga as he undertook the revenge mission. It was the first time it was giving a glimpse into its operations. One of the most startling information given by Abu Zaid was that the attacker was one Mohammed Manga, who was better known and addressed by his friends and business associates as Alhaji Manga.“He is originally from Adamawa State but he was born and brought up in Maiduguri, where he embraced the teachings of the late Mohammed Yusuf,” the spokesman said.Mohammed Yusuf was the leader of the group and was killed by the police in 2009 following the bloodiest clash involving the Boko Haram in which thousands of the sect’s members and other people died.Blueprint was also told by the sect that Manga was Fulani by tribe and that he started both as a commercial and private driver at different times in his adult life. A few years before the July 2009 Boko Haram uprising, Manga began to travel to Cotonou in Benin Republic and later Dubai frequently in order to buy all kinds of goods. He was a major contributor to the Boko Haram’s arms build-up.Abu Zaid also confided in this newspaper that Manga left a will of over N4 million to his two daughters and three sons and urged fellow believers to sacrifice their lives for the sake of Allah. This, the group said, is evident in the last-minute pictures of Manga, believed to have been taken at a camp somewhere in Borno State. The man’s last will and the photographs are proof that Manga was on a suicide mission and that his death at the Louis Edet House headquarters of the police was not an accident.“He was calm and never hesitated or showed fear,” Abu Zaid recalled, adding that everyone at the scene that night on the eve of the attack was envious, wishing it was their chance to act and gain entry into paradise. According to him, the planning of the attack targeting the Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Hafiz Ringim, was not in any way different from the way and manner they plan other attacks around the country, insisting that the only difference was that this mission was abruptly brought closer in response to the remarks made by Ringim that he would eradicate the Boko Haram within weeks. The IGP had on June 15 boasted, while receiving10 armoured personnel carriersdonated to the police by the Borno State government, that the Boko Haram’s days were numbered.“Now that the (general) elections are over, our attention would be concentrated and I want to assure you that the days of the Boko Haram are numbered,” Ringim had told a gathering at the Government House in Maiduguri, with the state governor Kashim Shettima present.Abu Zaid also claimed that the bomb his group used in the attack was a ready-made one, which the sect acquired from abroad. “And we are going to use several of them in future attacks,” he warned. The group dismissed media reports and commentaries that suggest it might not have planned a suicide attack but that the bomb blast was merely an accident in which the attacker was trapped, insisting that it was really pre-planned.“Everyone had waited patiently for the outcome of that operation,” said Abu Zaid.According to him, the car that was used was not a Mercedes Benz ‘V-Boot’, but an ash-colour Honda 86 model.“I was surprised when the police said the car was a Mercedes ‘V-Boot’,” he said. “It was never a Mercedes. The car used for the attack was an ash-colour Honda 86. We are surprised over the way the police are confused anytime we strike.”Meanwhile, the group has discredited the conditions for dialogue ostensibly given by the Boko Haram by one Usman Al-Zawahiri and others, challenging them to give a single proof that they are with the authentic group.“We don’t know Al-Zawahiri; he is not with us,” Abu Zaid said. “In fact, our investigation revealed that he is an SSS (State Security Service operative) and was brought in to discredit what we are doing and give an impression that we are divided. There is no faction in our group.”Giving a reason why the Boko Haram chose Blueprint correspondent for breaking the news, Abu Zaid remarked: “You were the first journalist who repeatedly wrote about us when we were not known to the world; you were the first journalist who reported when our brothers were shot at on their way to a funeral procession by members of a security outfit setup by the Borno State government, known as ‘Operation Flush.’ We see you as an objective writer who is never afraid to say the truth; that is why our leader approved the idea to give you the final evidence that we were solely behind the suicide attack at the police headquarters.”The Boko Haram is believed to be headed by one Malam Abubakar Shekau, the deputy of the late Mohammed Yusuf.

Jonathan has no cause not to perform – Obahiagbon
On June 26, 2011 · In Interview

By Simon Ebegbulem, Benin City

Mr Patrick Obahiagbon, popularly known as Igodomigo, is one of the most outspoken lawmakers in the just concluded sixth Assembly. He represented Oredo Federal Constituency of Edo State but was unable to pick the ticket for re-election under the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) which he joined after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July last year. In this interview, Igodomigo shares his experiences in the National Assembly, the recent bomb blast, and other national issues.
Excepts:

You dumped the PDP for the ACN and it was widely believed that you will receive the support the of the people to go back to the National Assembly. What happened?

The political colloquim that climaxed my adjustment from the PDP to the can had anchorage on the renewal of my mandate. True, there was a fundamental breach, there was a last minute betrayal of an accord concordiale. The betrayal was unconscionable and purulently dripped with all the trappings of an Entebbe raid. Some political high priests have even gone to town with a gait of fanfaronadism congratulating themselves as to what in their warped and megalomaniacal view amounts to the nunc di mitis of Igodomigodo. Let me say that nothing happens to a student of mysticism by chance or accident.

The biblical story of Joseph should teach a lesson to man. The brothers of Joseph sold him as a slave to slave traders but we know what happened at the end of the day which shows that in the eyes of the cosmic, your intended slavery could even be your divine vehicle for the realisation of your manifest destiny. Such is the mysterious workings of divine providence and such is my reverential faith in the laws of the Great Grand Architect of the Universe.

As for my experience so far, lawmaking can be a very exciting and jejune canvas, at the same time depending on whether your premium mobile verges on rapacious mercantilism or you are actuated with a pro bono pu blico predilection.

It appears to me that we must have in the various legislative houses across the length and breath of Nigeria and especially at the National Assembly men and women who refuse to be political halleluyah boys;men and women who can stand before executive demagogues and damn their canal prodigalities. From this point of view, my experience in parliament for twelve years both at the state and national platform has been one of mixed feelings. There are so so many legislative invertebrates who just don’t have any business in the legislature.

But we learnt that Governor Adams Oshiomhole wanted to compensate you with commissionership but you rejected the offer.
How did you know I was to be appointed a commissioner? (laughs out loud). That was supposed to be a matter between me and the governor of Edo State. Am maniacally bewildered that it is in the public domain. I do not sincerely think that I should discuss here what happened between me and my governor on the issue of a suggested political appointment and my reaction thereto. I plead with your understanding that we should leave it at that, at least for now.

What is your take on the way and manner in which the present leadership of the House of Representatives emerged despite the position of the ruling PDP as regards zoning?

Let me start by congratulating the leadership of the seventh National Assembly particularly the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal for the onerous and yet noble duty history has thrust upon their shoulders just now to assist Mr President in navigating the ship of state from eschewable icebergs, cataracts and ox-bow lakes. I expect that they should of course continue to make robust laws that are dialectically salubrious and, more particularly, they should deepen our electoral infrastructure by tinkering further with the constitution and electoral law.

We must return to the Justice Uwais recommendations. I have always held the view, however, that we are already surfeit with a cornucopia of legal ceramics. What we really need is to ensure caboodle compliance with the rule of law and this is where the oversight responsibility of the National Assembly is of the quiddity.

If the leadership of the seventh National Assembly brings about a regime of fearless oversight functions, then they would have hit the legislative ball running. And on how Tambuwal emerged, it is the beauty of democracy and I think everyone should take it that way. It is the wish of the Almighty. I wish them well.

But what do you expect from President Goodluck Jonathan now that he has the full mandate of the people?
Mr President has no excuse not to live up to his billings, if for nothing but the fact that he was elected as president with a lot of goodwill and Nigerians got him habilimented with a pan Nigerian toga.

He must get it right on power, good roads, security,an efficacious health care delivery system. Nobody needs to ascend mountain Olympus now to know that Nigerians would idolize any president that has the will power to cleanse the Augean stable of corruption and he must go beyond vacuous sloganeering and selective political vendetta on the anti-corruption war. The preparedness of Mr President for making history would be measured when he submits his ministerial list to the Senate. We are watching because the quality of men he picks will decide his performance.

What is your reaction to the recent bomb blasts at the police headquarters in Abuja?
That there can be a bomb detonation at our police headquarters verges on a scandalum magnatum and speaks volumes of our parlous state of insecurity. In sane societies, the inspector general of police would have since tendered his letter of resignation. It was and indeed remains a big embarrassment for the country. What are CIA agents coming to do? That is medicine after death. What we need now is a more pro-active security apparatus than a reactionary one locking the stable door only after the horse has bolted.

^^ Shagamite,
Take it easy. What Gerufus is saying is that her being from World bank is something we should worry about.
I'm personally skeptical of World Bank/IMF BUT I love Ngozi as a person.
World Bank's strategy against developing but Oil-rich nations like Nigeria is to groom the best of brains send them to take charge of the Financial reins of the Developing Nations then after their tenures in those governments, the World bank or IMF re-absorbs them back into its folds.
However, this is not the case with Ngozi (by my own estimation sha)
