Their was a simple trade off when we went for Jose as our manager that few of us agree to. Play any kind of soccer you like and win us the league title.that didn't happen. And he Is still here. Why? And now we have also refused to buy him the gidigbo player he wanted. See why I said it goes deeper that whomever we hire ?

When did this trade off happen?

I can't really say Jose is a defensive coach. Some stats don't really back that notion. He is only defensive against top teams, especially when the teams have superior power. Jose had the ability to motivate his players to overstretch themselves for him, that was what I believe the board was looking at. His team will run, mark, pursue every ball, play with all seriousness. And tbh, we saw these in the first season, especially during the early months, but he can't motivate anybody anymore.

If everyone was running around, doing their best even if it's poor since we say they are poor players, nobody will complain about Mourinho. But this team don't want to play football anymore. And we can't change the whole team because of one man

Jose already has plausible deniability. Whatever happens this season. He can always say he wasn't supported by the board. If you point to last season he will simple say: city spent more money that is why they won.
Since it's almost a guarantee now that the biggest spender will most certainly win the league. Utd didn't spend much,so Utd isn't ready to win the league this season. Is what I imagine Jose would say to himself and he won't be totally wrong.

Hope you know most people are mad at Mourinho not because he didn't win the league last season or because he went trophyless? And it's not that they we want him out because he's not going to win the league this season?

There's no rot in the team. They need to believe in their manager. They need to know that their manager will have their backs during crisis. They need to know they can enjoy football at the club under their manager. But this manager will happily throw you under the bus for every little error. No encouragement, nothing. There's nothing worse than dealing with a man that believes he's perfect and every other person around him is wrong. Who has he not blamed? Even the fans are not left out. There's nothing more to even say about Mourinho. Ask about him at his last club. Why always Mourinho? Was it not the same rot we thought they had at Chelsea before Conte came and made just a change or two?

Nah! I couldn't careless if Martial is sold or not, but we will see a new United if Mourinho is sacked. Most of those players are not ready to play for him anymore. If we're going to sack Mourinho eventually, there's no need selling everybody else. Unless the new coach comes in and decides he can't work with them with very good visible reason

JM was handicapped by the recent issues in that regard. Even if Pogba had stopped playing and started cartwheeling round the pitch and saying ntooor, there was no way JM was going to remove him with all the recent rumors.

That does not absolve JM of any blame though. Woodward seems to be showing that there is a limit to his own foolishness. Why should i give more money to buy defenders to "defensive guru" who just finished wasting money on defenders like Lindelof and Bailly?

Anybody who believes that Mourinho needs to shell out big money on defenders (on top of the money he has already spent on international defenders) to be able to defend against the overaged journeymen attackers of Brighton must be a comedian.

I don't want to say i told you about Pogba, but i told you so. I like the guy as a youth team product and desperately want him to succeed, and he has the tools but he just does not know how to apply them.
He has all it takes to dominate a midfield but does not understand the basic duties of a midfielder. Slow to get to the ball, slow to press the opponent, taking 2 touches when 1 would suffice and 3 touches when 2 would be enough. Going for the Hollywood pass when a Kroos/Thiago/Verrati kind of simple continuation pass would do the same job at less risk.

Just like in the case of Jonny Evans what makes this more worrying is that he played with Pirlo and Carrick and still does not get it.

I'm just from redcafe and the lamentations there ehn lol. At least 99% of the comments there agree that Jose has to go. This is what we've seen since almost a year ago, and I remember someone saying that the real fans are on that forum, those that are solidly behind Jose. This was so glaring as at months ago, that we're going nowhere with this man. Someone that will always blame every other person including the fans for a bad result.

At this point, I refuse to believe we have bad players. It's the coach that is bad and should be changed. Pogba is more disciplined when he plays for his country so I know he can be much better for us. I think he has issues with Jose.

I'm happy we're playing Spurs next. They need to heap more misery on Jose so he's sacked. But I trust him to set up his team to defend for 95 minutes.

Fred should be have been subbed off instead of Perreira in my opinion, Fred and Bailly had a terrible day today. All of them were trying impossible and fancy passes, trying to chip ball over instead of a simple pass, playing long ball to Lukaku and Afroman, no eyes to pick a decent run, just playing like mumu goat, all of them.

Ed should just use this week salary to refund our away fans who witness this horror show at the Amex stadium and fire Mou abeg, let’s see what another coach can offer.

Pogba was more useless than Fred though. If I was the coach I would have asked him to leave the pitch even after exhausting my three changes

I don't even think there is any thing like a great Coach anymore. We just have coaches that manage rich teams and coaches that don't. Jose, Pep, pochettino, name any big name coach they are only as good as the talent and the amount of money they can spend.
Who is to say Managers Like:Tony pulis,harry redknapp and Big Sam won't be great coaches today If they had the opportunity ?

Well you have a point though. I can imagine Alderweild and Maguire dominating the center of the pitch and creating quality chances over and over in a match

Mourinho's greatest ability as a coach is his ability to motivate his players to go the extra mile for him and the team. He has lost that ability and some of the players are tired of him, if not most. The best thing for him is to walk away, take a break, do other things and probably finally reinvent himself so as to rediscover that passion.

It is not the scoreline that is particularly shocking, rather, it is the fact that Brighton is outplaying United.

I said it the other day that Lindelof hasn't done anything different from what Smalling and Jones have done before. Nothing special there but that's not the reason why the team has been shit for over a year now
