Very true. What I expect from Mou most times is to have a set template of control and dictated tempo of defense(by choice) or attack (by circumstance).

The dilemma I find is, why stifle your attacking tools.

What they are trying to sell to us is that Mou is not the one stifling anybody, those guys just decide to stifle and unstifle whenever they like and the manager just gives them a thumb up with a big grin from wherever he sits. He has no business with what happens on the field, he will deal with them the next day in training. Probably make them practice more defensive moves as punishment.

Parking the bus is different from playing counter football. If the team is playing counter football we expect to see bodies rushing forward to join the attack and then fall back to defend. But this team has problem with both falling back and rushing forward.

We have almost 150m worth of players in the middle but we allow small boys press us like breast for almost half of a match time. This is because they don't know what to do with the ball when they have it so they lose it without making use of it. We play with the ball around for a short time and when the opponents have it, you see purpose. I mean did Jose spend that much money on midfield so his team can play this nonsense they are playing?

I will continue to believe he is satisfied until I see him on the stand barking orders at his players.

I will keep saying this. even SAF played counter attacking football against the likes of arsenal, ceding possession and hitting the opponent. the majority of the times SAF team play high pressing game is usually against the canon fodders. against the top teams fergie is conservative. mourinhos tactics needs runners and fighters added with ruthless finishers to excel. players like Martial who sulks easily, Pogba who is petulant like a girl and error prone Lindeloff and Smalling are not mourinho kind of players, he is just using them because there are few options.

We have the laziest players in the squad, you will see them lose the ball and instead of them to try recover the ball, you either see them blame the grass, blame the ref, blame their other team mate or even blame themselves. I can't count how many times I have seen them jogging upandown. Check whenever Lingard is pressing from the front and he see his teammates jogging around, he joins them and just stop the pressing.

The truth is that it doesn't start today, our players have always been lazy with the zonal marking system that's always employed.

Mou is not known as a high pressing coach, it's not his tactics and it won't start now in my opinion. Mou team over the years have always been known for their blistering counter attack. Most times we focus so much on Mou that we exonerate the players who loves making a simple pass looks like rocket science. If I ask you Mou tactics Now, you yourself will be able to tell me what it is, Mou has always been a conservative manager, sit back relax and hit on the counter, there are times his team will attack and attack from start to finish and there are some times he will set them up to sit back and hit on counter. There's no one way to play soccer, it's a tested and trusted formula for Mou, why will be want to change that?

I think sometimes we tend to interpret counter-attack as park the bus tactics. Even the best manager in the league history did not employ a high pressing tactics and he's known for his counter-attacking style. ghen ghen pressing is not the only way to play football. For all of Liverpool Klopp ghen ghen pressing, he still remains trophyless with them, even Pep went trophyless last season. Each manager will use the formula that's going to bring him success.

Which of these players were lazy before, either presently or in their previous life? The Sanchez experiment is not working out why? Which of these players couldn't pass before? Is it that they don't have a strategy when it comes to attack or they purposely refuse to play as instructed or inject some energy until they are down or time running out? Is Mourinho purposely refusing to put some square peg in a square hole in a couple of positions in the team? It can't be money because if he can spend 70-90m on a single player and offer big wages to his players, then the transfer budget is big enough.

If you are saying he has to change the full team before he can be able to play as a team and compete with the big boys then we should just close shop and go home because that's never going to happen, because players will come and go. Nobody is even asking the team to go gung ho on opponents, but something as simple as keeping the ball, passing to each other, and showing some training ground attacking movement is what we want to see. These guys play like they don't know each other, like they don't know where to be if the other is with the ball.

In summary, the quality of football on display does not give a good account of the amount spent. Teams like newcastle, burnley, stoke, crystal palace etc should never ever make United play conservative, depressing football

Dayo is very intelligent and can actually be objective whenever he feels like it except when his village people visit him from ogbomosho and he start saying some insane things or doing apple and oranges comparisons.

The issue of high pressing is really not Mou style per say and if you look back long enough, you will discover that even during Fergie days we don't really do high pressing which makes most of our players lazy. I think we most time employ zonal marking instead of pressing high up the pitch. Mou and the players obviously have a fair share of the lazy attitude of our players and I believe they can do better. Just look at Pogba and Sanchez yesterday, no matter the tactics of the manager, what both of them serve us in the first half of that game yesterday is unacceptable. For a counter-attack tactics to work, the players must be able to play their part which is play the damn ball and not lazying around like a lizard.

We look at other managers and their identity and tactics is there. Do you know what exactly is Mourinho's tactics or game plan?
