Mr Man, GEJ was not a high performer, buh he was certainly better than this clownish fiasco we have now....

Exactly the point. I never was a fan of GEJ but this guy right here has been an absolute disaster for this country with his non-existent economic policies and his high-level bigotry. Imagine inflation at 17% in just 2 years.

Was there a time when there was no kidnap? Atleat i can speak of a time when there was bombings every week.
What was special about our ponzi economy 3 yrs ago that states needed bailouts and the FG was borrowing to pay salaries.

Who asked you? I was talking to another poster, not you.

Jonathan was really a high performer. He achieved so much mid way into his tenure that Nigerians had to massively vote him out 2 years later due to his wonderful performance. OP, well-done Sir.

2 more years and we'll see what the likes of people like you will blame. Also, security has been so great in this era that someone's egbon was kidnapped for several weeks (by the way, hope he's been found). Nigerians can feed well and feel very safe. Yep, really "impressive" economic and security progress in this current regime. undecided

our villages were living in peace before the most foolish president came to power. today no village is under the control of Boko Haram. we are okay with this government and we will vote for it again

Stop lying. Boko haram was founded by Mohammed Yusuf in 2002. Go to school, you refuse, see how reasoning is being such a huge challenge for you.

Anyway, since you guys are okay with "occasional bombing" by the boko haram that has been "brought to an end". Enjoy!

it's like something is wrong with you. which terrorist group has ever been perfectly defeated? that Boko Haram has been defeated does not mean that they are not going to be launching a few attack here and there. those who voted are not just citizens. they are the biafura supporters just like you

Keep quiet there if you cannot reason. Rubbish. When you were busy typing "brought boko haram to an end" yada yada yada, you didn't ask yourself what it means. What does bring to an end mean? When they ask you people to go to school, you refuse. See the nonsense he is typing. You think everyone is an illiterate here?

I'm talking about daily bombings like the one we saw when the foolish one was in power not these occasional attacks. I'm talking about those days when one can't go to a market, bank, school, mosque or church without having the fear of being gunned down. that's why even northern Christians are happy with Baba's government

So now you've changed it from "brought Boko Haram to an end" to "occasional attacks". Continue to shift the goalpost so you can defend this failed govt. Your comment clearly shows that hatred has beclouded your sense of reasoning, such that you cannot even think of demanding for good governance. I pity you folks. It's your life anyway. Carry go.

Whether you accept it or not, majority of the citizens have clearly stated that this government HAS FAILED. Bitter pill.

Some of these people have no standard at all, very substandard way of thinking and living. No wonder a governor the other time was saying meningitis was a punishment from God. Those are not the kind of people you can reason with.

It baffles me the way some group of people are trying hard to sell the failure called Buhari on Nairaland, despite the fact that we are all bearing the brunt of this disastrous administration together.

How do they even sleep at night?

Many zombies have gradually started receiving sense with reality staring them straight in the face, so the polls would likely still be similar.

You need to receive sense before posting on a forum. Bunch of failures supporting a failed govt. Continue sitting down there blaming everything but the current govt, 4 years will soon knack, we will see who you will blame then.

most of those that voted are ipoop youths. I rate this govt 8/10. they really tried by maintaining the economy even after the massive looting and fall of oil prices.

Boko Haram is no longer as deadly as it was

for the first time in so many years criminals are being tried

Thank you APC
Thank you Buhari/osinbanjo

Which economy? Why on earth do we like to set ridiculously low standards for ourselves as Africans? Why? Inflation is currently 2.7% in the UK and yet they are dragging this with their govt. Yet you are here rating a 17% inflation ravaged economy as 8/10. You people truly deserve the substandard leaders you get.

With inflation at 17%? Do you know what that means for daily spendings of the citizens? To break it down for you, N10,000 last year is now worth N8,300.

Well... You do have a point. Nairaland is not an easy place to be especially when we have loose canons roaming around.

In any case, thanks for pointing out your observations. They have been noted and I'd re-evaluate myself based on what you've said.

You're welcome and thanks too. You've always been an amiable person and I was just surprised to see the recent change.
I totally agree that NL has many loose canons but don't ever let them bring you to their level. That is what stands you apart. You are passionate about your people which is a positive thing but it's key to let the message remain positive. Good luck.

Who said it changed my person? It only changed the way I'm going to be relating with others online... not my personality. Let me give you an instance:

If a specific set of persons online starts calling you an idi*t and you are a simple minded and free person, you would be forced to change your online habits. You may choose to leave the site where such name-calling is coming from (which in my case is improbable since I have vested interests here) or you may choose to ignore the name-callers (which is also difficult to do when they are virtually everywhere). What do you do? You find a way to deal with them once and for all. If you can't, you may have to deactivate your account and get a new one (as you hinted earlier on that you did). Now, no matter what you choose to do, they have changed you already. You may not have been changed in person but your internet double has been changed and you'd be more careful of those sets of persons when you enter the internet.

That is the psychology of trolling.

First of all, I did not deactivate my account, it's banned at the moment and I will return to it once the time elapses.

In my opinion, strength is being able to withstand pressure and not give in to it. And with bullies, once you let them know they can get to you, they will continue with their bullying. I don't believe people's comments online is enough reason to adjust my online habits or behaviour. Nope. That is equivalent to giving in to them. I know who I am and do not require people's validation or otherwise online.

You said it didn't change your personality but that is not true because there is a wide gap between the kind of threads you used to create (devoid of aggression and not argumentative) and the kind of posts you make now.

Thank you. Your observation has been noted.

And yes, I am a different person!! IPOB Youths on Nairaland have a way of changing anyone that encounters them. I have been radicalised and will fight jealously for the interest of Urhobos! Anyone that doesn't like it can go and complain to my village juju.

Any person who allows an online forum like Nairaland to shape his person is not at all strong, sorry to say. Outside NL, people from warring ethnic groups and countries are doing business, creating family unions etc. Anyone who decides to shape his real life from an online forum is lipsrsealed Did you not see the mix of people at Babangida's daughter's wedding? People that should supposedly be at logger heads.

In any case, it's your life, feel free to live it as you deem fit.

And in the threads on food prices, I derail them too, as you have implied?

If you want to know the reasons behind someone's actions, simply ask.

If I didn't know better, I would almost say it's a different person. Read well, I said you used to create threads where people had a good debate which is what threads should be about, conversation.

I am not asking because I am not interested in knowing the reasons behind your actions, I was simply making an observation. Feel free to do whatever you want to do.

Derail a thread? Is this thread not about DELTA STATE? Are Urhobos not in DELTA STATE?

Don't an Urhobo have the right to sensitise other Urhobos on what is happening and should happen?

Abeg e. Don't you even have a protest or something to do today?

You have been posting it on literally every thread. Kindly stop derailing. Feel free to create a thread where you all can knock yourselves out.

Protest where? You think everyone is in your shoes?

Oh wow, this mayor! His reply was not only on point but also very bold particularly in a world where most politicians would rather be politically correct.

People need to integrate, rather than asking their hosts to bend backwards for them.

*“If you left your country for Canada,* and *not for* other *Muslim countries,* it is because *YOU* have *considered* that *life is better in Canada than elsewhere.*

*“Ask yourself the question,* just once, *“Why is it better here in Canada than where you come from?”* 'A canteen with pork' is part of the answer.”

As regards your question dear, Boko haram is not yet extinct as regards latest reports of their bomb attacks but mind you it has subsided unlike before. Need to recall that terrorism is an ideology that takes time to eradicated physically and intellectually just like the case of ISIS soft spot attacks recently at Manchester, Berlin, brussels, Paris, etc despite combine efforts from syria/us armies to destroy their domain which has been averagely successful so far. This is perhaps the reason the acting president of the country was invited for the G7 congress meeting in Italy.

So now we use attacks in Manchester to justify ours? Why don't we use their positive aspects to challenge ourselves? It's always the negative. Anyway, I've said my own.

Well done, you side stepped the question, you know it's a fail mark, not a pass. Those are actual people whose lives have been cut short simply because they were unfortunate to be born Nigerians, living in Nigeria.
