A human being just lost her life and a person finds it appropriate to make a joke about it?
Nigerians are truly a special breed.

Yet we wonder why people stand with Paris or London whenever an attack happens, it's simply because they value human lives, not this country where graphic pictures are gleefully littered online and people make stupid jokes about a suicide.

Are you guys for real ?

You are not different from the myopic dummies who sold their fellow
Nigerians for a mirror during the slave trade thinking they
were amassing wealth.

The foolish fraudsters are destroying chances of
legitimate business any Nigerian want to venture into all
in the name of greed.

Don't just think about the crumbs you want to eat, always consider
the effect on the society at large.

Kudos to EFCC for locking up the thoughtless fraudsters.

I tell you. Very short sighted approach, pretty much shooting themselves in the foot without realising it.

The word Nigerian is synonymous with fraud and crime all over the world, the perception is very terrible and it affects people's chances of getting particular opportunities/ jobs, it's a barrier although we still have those excelling in legitimate businesses.

I hope all those who commit crime from fraud, to drug pushing, to human trafficking meet their waterloos sooner, than later. Plus their supporters as well.

Its unfortunately. The younger guy has always been crook since early secondary school days. Just surprised seeing Olumide there who still look cool and calm last time I saw him. The dad particular was a perfect gentle man who taught us in sunbeam early 90s.

Awww, that's so sad.
Hopefully they are not the only kids and the others will bring succour to their parents.
There is a time for parents to be soft, but also a time to be firm. At some point, these kids must have shown tendencies which were not nipped in the bud.

one thing is certain , you all always find fault in all he does forgettin he is human and not a God .... even in positive things u igbos find fault ...none is talking about the raise in naira o, which is a massive positive ..very massive
ur hate wont let u all see that...
e.g i priced a machined for my company 3wks back at 150k but gladly bought that same machine for 86k on monday

Keep quiet. People gave Buhari a chance and he disappointed them, should they continue to suffer in silence and not criticise him?

Leaders are meant to serve, and should be held accountable. That is how developed economies work, rather than using ethnicity as a sorry excuse.

Raise in which naira? Was the same naira not at N220 two years ago? So we should throw a party because it's now at N350. Do you know the impact on people who have to pay for services or even school fees abroad? Please don't get me started.

Noted, though I am sure with a one sided perspective like yours; you probably would see the wisdom of the governor.

FYI, the Fulani/farmer clashes has been with us for as long as herders and farmers existed; nobody is denying this fact; nor is the problem limited to certain geographical location but throughout this country and beyond.
The difference is how the various communities it affects perceive and manage the problem.

Unfortunately, ppl like you are being encouraged to view it as an ethnic/tribal/religious and regional problem rather than a truly economic issue involving a basic conflict over land; land for grazing vs land for farming; between nomadic herdsmen and local farmers - which happens all the time, almost everywhere in the north and some places in the south; which is latterly also being given political and other colorations by a lazy biased media and through some irresponsible utterances from local champions who thrive on fanning the embers of mistrust and disunity among Nigerians.

Get over yourself and stop taking things personally. No one has a grudge with Hausas or fulanis, but we all have a problem with their killings and wanton destruction. I would say exactly the same thing if it was any other tribe doing what they are doing.

It is obvious you are the one with a bias.

l agree with the bold 100 %, Spot on my friend, l went the military option because l am sick and tired of all these thieves, since 1999 when democracy or (demonstration of craze according to late Fela ) returned back fully to the Nigerian polity , the country earned billions in revenue from oil but it was frittered away, some pocketed by the same task masters ruining the country, they have milked the golden cow to the point the cow finally collapsed, it means this cycle of clueless-ness and confusion will continue, na wao sad

True. Well, maybe when it collapses and there is nothing left to milk, we will all wake up.

I don't think the military will be any better, they institutionalised corruption as far as I'm concerned, not to mention their lack of respect for rule of law. The problem is the right people never get to the top, Nigeria has vibrant intelligent people who can move the country forward, but they are not in politics, leaving the illiterates and clueless ones to be the only options, that's why we could find ourselves in a position of having to choose between a buhari and a jonathan.

The most painful part is that all the useless senators + federal government + state government + federal executive members + state governors & their executive team + head of different agencies both state & federal are all drawing allowances, feeding fat while the impoverish masses are crying daily and yet no response, l pity family members l have in Nigeria, l saw all this before l ran away years ago from the country and up-till date the news l read of happenings in Nigeria is shocking sad

Yep, recession has no meaning to them because it has absolutely no impact on their fat allowances, that's why a government official can comfortably say "recession is just a word"

Anyways, I wish all Nigerians good luck, we are in dire need of it, cos as it is right now it's looking very bleak.

Unfortunately I don't see this changing anytime soon, these are the kinds of irrelevant things they will keep chasing after until the final whistle is blown.

No policies
No direction
No investments
No long term plans or implementation
No strategy

How on earth will the country move forward?
