I pity some state civil servants sha. With the way these governors are talking, you would think most of them even fulfilled the previous #30k minimum wage agreement. Mtchew.

Some states, as we speak, still have months of salary backlog they are yet to pay.

Regional government will solve this kind of mess. The funny thing is that the state workers being owed months of salaries won't drag their governors but will still face the FG. Same with the NLC - they only strike when they have issues to iron with the FG. But in many state chapters, they remain docile while the governors continue to give it to their workers in the ass.

Lagos lead, others follow others sleep.

Kudos to Sanwo Eko! With the way Lagos has successfully elected top administrators for the past two decades is a marvel. Back to back to back, no lapse in performance of successive administrations. Sanwo is performing during his second term like he's a first timer looking for electorate votes. You could hardly spot any difference in his performance in the first and second term. Top echelon administrator!!! 🙌

Every blessed week, we have tons of good news coming from Lagos State, almost daily self, that it has now become the norm, without noise. Then we have some states commissioning 3km road out of the blue and their indigenes disturbing the cyber space for months with different camera angle of the said road.

Hahaaaaa.

Like the dolt below 👇, they will say "shebi Lagos earn trillions in revenue" to make others turn a blind eye to the rot, loot and underperformance in their home states. But what people like this forget is that Lagos State government officials can as well loot and leave the state to rot too. They will make you think it's luck or voodoo or federal favoritism that made Lagos move from height to heights for the past 30 years or so. Lagos could have as well decided to retrogress like the majority of states since 1999. If you can't produce a Ferrari with decades of revenue, citizens trust, and investments, at least produce a Toyota Camry. Some states can't even boast of producing a bicycle.

I mean we have states earning 13% derivative from crude sales but their state development is nothing to write home about. It's not even about party. There is Lagos, there's Kogi governed by the same party. Then we have Bayelsa, Delta governed by another party. Then there's Osun headed by a ballet dancer, in the same geopolitical zone ooo. There's another in the far north where an administrator calculated his constituency allocations, looked his people from head to toe and thought "na burial cloth and materials you people deserve because you dey die too much" 😂, in the same country.

Do you see where I'm going?

Lagos could have stuck with AD or ACN or SDP or KOWA and the performance would have been the same. Give Lagosians their flowers please! From Tinubu to Fashola to Ambode to Sanwo. You would think there's a factory that manufacture these people every election cycle with the same ingredients or production technology. The thing is for years to come, their governors will always strive to outdo the last governor or at least match in performance because no one wants to enter the history books as the first governor to derail Lagos progress since 1999.

Of course, no one is going to offer #105k as minimum. The FG can't even afford that talk more of the state governments.

The story was either planted by the government or the NLC to measure people's reaction or setup the FG.

Anyways, whatever the new minimum wage is going to be, the FG should open the border with Benin Republic immediately after approval so we can import food to counterbalance the impeding inflation surge.

I doubt we will get out of this wood this year. Any chance of improvement to the economy will happen in 2025 earliest.

This agency fell bad. NOA during OBJ tenures was wonderful. Every night on news channels especially on NTA, they always have one information or orientation message to pass across to Nigerians from health related topics, finance, security, etc. "This message is from the National Orientation Agency" - was how they always end their jingles. Dang! Good old days. Now NOA is living on past glory. Plus Frank Nweke Jr. - the best information minister Nigeria ever had. I think the NOA and ministry of Information were the reason Nigerians knew a lot about Obasanjo's policies and moves.

The deterioration of NOA is a part of why many Nigerians are ignorant and misinformed about many government policies today.

For example, this particular message shouldn't be coming from the mouth of the director-general. It should be in the media - Channels, NTA, TVC, top radio stations - in form of jingle. During OBJ's era, I don't think people knew who the director-general was but everyone was aware that the NOA exist. And as a matter of fact, his message is coming too late. Something the agency should have jumped on immediately the bill was passed.

This is very commendable from Alhaji Atiku. This is how opposition is played, not like the Agulu champion that move around like a noisy market woman.

I bet if Obi asked this question, no one will take him serious although it's critical one because his voice is already lost in his daily cho cho cho. Even the media don't listen to him again. That one will be behaving like a social commentator. Obi clearly has no team or advisers.

I'm a Barca fan. He failed in my books. He didn't improve Barca. Over the last five years before Xavi, Barca was underwhelming in the League and very weak in the UCL. During Xavi's, the story is the same. Only difference was us winning the league last season. We flopped in all European competition, most especially the UEL which I think we should have won.
