Engr. Dave Umaih is not a saint per say but he is far better than Elechi and Ogbonnaya Onu put together. Elechi spent 8 gud years in the office but the only achievement I can record against him is sponsoring communal war to last for complete four years. Ogbonnaya as the minister of science and technology for three-year now, who has he helped

In governance, lofty aims and ideals are commendable and necessary, but in the end what matters and truly counts are the results one achieve. Politics is all about preparing and implementing strategies to achieve certain goals. Politics is a way of achieving a given goal which as a matter of fact have to start and end with the peoples' interest, and any political debate focuses on the latter. A good leader spends a great deal of time in deciding which goals to strive for. A strategy is the way one try to achieve a given goal. In a democratic setting like ours, when the chips are down, voters will judge parties and politicians by the concrete results they have achieved, not by the promises they made. Gov. Umahi's goals based on his recorded and undeniable achievements so far are people oriented and it is spectacular and unique for its concreteness, measurability, feasibility and for its inspirational value for the youths as leaders of today/tomorrow which has earned him the trust and love of the people of Ebonyi state, and has engendered great respect and enthusiasm even from onlookers outside the shores of Ebonyi state.

A cursory or superlative analysis on the achievements and leadership/administrative prowess of Gov. Umahi from his days as a contractor and a businessman reveals a whole lot of administrative dexterity, landmark achievements in virtually all human endeavour characterized by his sincerity and undying love and compassion for his people bamboozled with his natural flare for quality service delivery and giant philanthropic strides.

*Education*
Gov. Umahi's natural love for education can not be overemphasized. He acknowledges the fact that education is a vital component for the survival and development of any society. Also taking into cognizance that education gives people the skills they need to help themselves out of poverty or, in other words, into prosperity, and most importantly, to think more rationally for themselves and be able to proffer solutions to the innumerable problems that confronts humanity. Haven rationalized on the importance of education, Gov. Umahi deemed it necessary to institutionalize a scholarship foundation as far back as 2007 both for indigenes and non indigenes, which has graduated over 5,000 people on various human endeavour. This is however a verifiable fact of which I am one of the thousands of beneficiaries of Gov. Umahi's scholarship foundation.

The state university (EBSU) which before now was in a deplorable and laughable state infrastructural wise and man power wise has been given a facelift just within 3years of Gov. Umahi's administration. New structures has been built, new faculties built and the lack of lecturers in the institution have been addressed. Ebonyi state University (EBSU) now wears a new look just within 3years of this administration. And most importantly, the school fees of both indigenes and non indigenes have been drastically reduced. On the secondary and primary school levels, most of the schools that had no classrooms for learning now has brand new structures as classrooms, and the outdated curriculum updated to meet contemporary standards.

*Empowerment*
Gov. Umahi who can be unarguably referred to as the father of all empowerment among the 36 state governors. Being aware of the meager resources that comes from the Federal govt to Ebonyi state, yet Gov. Umahi used his administrative ingenuity to prudently manage the little resources to ensure Ebonyians are lifted from poverty.

Both the youths, women, widows, civil servants and pensioners are all beneficiaries in the state govt empowerment scheme. It remains an indisputable fact that Ebonyi state govt parades the highest number of empowered people in the whole Nigeria. Some may accuse me of presstitude, or singing the praises of Gov. Umahi. But let me quickly say here that it is only those who are infected by sheer bitterness, possessed by retrogression, deranged by psychosis and are chimerical in thoughts and in action that will deny the facts on ground in Ebonyi state today, with visible and traceable evidence. Prior before now, successive administration owed workers and pensioners their salaries and pensions. The pension and gratuity of pensioners since 1996 (when the state was created) about N1.5 billion was paid in full upon assumption in office in 2015. Gov. Umahi proudly parades himself as the only governor in Nigeria that is not owing workers even for a month. He rather released workers salaries and welfare, paying every civil servant on or before 15th of every month.

Youth empowerment in the state under Gov. Umahi remains unrivaled. Gov. Umahi's youth empowerment scheme is generally adjudged as epic and the highest since the creation of the state in 1996, and in Nigeria's sociopolitical history. The youths have been empowered politically, economically, academically, morally, and most importantly agriculturally. It is evident and a statement of fact that Gov. Umahi parades over 70% youths as his political appointees. His his uncommon love for the youths is well elaborated in his sociopolitical and economic policies and programs. The same love and affection have also been extended to the widows. The empowerment of 4,000 youths with a grant of N250,000 each, to enable them start their own businesses, taking of Ebonyians off the streets of Lagos, Onitsha and Port Harcourt and empowered them with another N250,000 each and sending many back to school, N4billion have been mapped out in collaboration with Bank of Industry (BOI) is currently being accessed as soft loan by Ebonyians with good business plan or an already existing business for industrialization of the state aimed at job creation, over 400 tricycles what distributed to jobless Ebonyians, N400million have been used to empower over 4,000 widows across the 13 local govt, each widow received N250,000 to enable them put up their small businesses, N1billion mapped out for the empowerment of 4,000 Ebonyians in the ministry of Job Creation and Economic Empowerment with more than 2000 people already paid N250,000 each. Sincerely, the list is just endless, and believe me, I have lost count. How then on earth can some past shameless leaders of the state that has no provisional evidence of their legacy in the state stand a man like Gov. Umahi, who has so much endeared himself in the peoples' heart because of his sincere love for Ebonyians, epic achievements and timeless legacies.

Ebonyi roads and other infrastructure that was before now used as a ridiculing reference point under Elechi that enjoyed the highest allocation as a governor and over 270% in comparison to what the state is receiving now. But Ebonyi state has been aesthetically transformed with quality road construction three giant flyovers, which is the longest in south east. All the 13 local govt in the state has at least a fifteen kilometers roads already constructed by the state govt, street lights is now virtually in every town in Ebonyi state. A visit to Ebonyi state will unravel to you how Ebonyi state rose from grass to grace, and what you will meet on ground will certainly leave you with no other option than to agree even more with me. No wonder why there is a steady influx of major businesses in the state.

*ELECHI*
Elechi who is the former governor of Ebonyi state can be rightly adjudged as the worst governor since the state was created. Yes, I stand to defend my position about the shameful wasted 8years of Elechi's maladministration perpetuated against the people of Ebonyi state by a man who ordinarily should put the overall development and progress of the state and her people above his self serving interest. Elechi was a costly mistake and a waste of time and a waste of the collective aspiration of the state and her very industrious people well embellished with uncommon ingenuity. Each time I question the achievements and legacy of Elechi in his 8years rule on social media or fora and am met with the answer of him building "unity bridges", I feel pity for the answer giver if he or she was a child, and so much inflamed, and disgusted if such answer or response was coming from a youth.

Elechi's so called unity bridges was a scam, substandard (dead trap), and served as a serious conduit of looting the resources of the people. Ebonyians was scammed by Elechi, and anyone who counts those dead traps called unity bridges as one of the legacies of Elechi should better go and verify how much that each of those substandard bridges cost and compare it with what Gov. Umahi spent on building three solid flyovers measuring over 700m meters each. Funny enough that people will know the truth and will decide to play politics of vindictiveness and bitterness with govt/governance that ordinarily should be people oriented as being exemplified by Gov. Umahi. Sen. Sam Egwu did his best by laying the foundation upon which the state was suppose to be built. But shamefully enough, the exact structure of the state in terms of infrastructure and otherwise, remained the same and unmaintained throughout the 8 solid years of Elechi who was governor when dollar was N150, and when petrol sold for $150 per barrel.

Instead of utilizing the opportunity of the economic boom occasioned by increased allocation to the state by developing the state and making the people prosper, Elechi was busy sharing the money with Chinedu Ogah, who was as it were, one of the henchman and cabal manipulating figures and stealing the collective resources of the people. Elechi's first son called Elechi Elechi, whose stock in trade was to live extravagantly and sleep with EBSU and ESUT girls by all means necessary also milked the state dry through his father Mr. Elechi. Elechi can not boast of a landmark achievement or legacy today in Ebonyi state because of his sheer hatred for the welfare of Ebonyi people. Elechi was never a founding father of the state; Akanu Ibiam was. Because if Elechi is, he would have dedicated his time to building what he struggled to bring into fruition. But because he was aware he is not an Ebonyi man as alleged by elders of Ikwo clan, and also not one of the founding father of Ebonyi state, he ran the state aground, and maintained his jingoistic and cabalistic govt enriching only himself, family and friends.

Elechi being cognizance of the fact that Gov. Umahi has an unbeatable history of giant strides, service delivery, and a personification of impeccable character, decided to work against Gov. Umahi's great vision for Ebonyi state as we can see today. Elechi out of his vindictiveness, wickedness, and wish for backwardness for the state did all he could to stop our divine mandate (Gov. Umahi) in 2015; rather opting for a man with questionable character and of his own rational and/ or behavioral echelon to continue stunting the development of the state by whatever means necessary. But the people of the state was obviously fed up and enlightened by the truth chose Gov. Umahi who they trusted with their mandate, and today, Ebonyians can boldly say that their decision in 2015 to go for the truth and conscience by electing a seasoned administrator (Gov. Umahi) remains the best political choice cum statement of credence they have ever made since the creation of the state in 1996.

DR. OGBONNAYA ONU
Dr. Onu, who is the current minister of Science and Technology under the most rudderless, useless, wicked, tyrannical, incompetent, lawless, bloodthirsty, and anti people administration of APC under a tyrant in the guise of a civilian president called Buhari. Dr. Onu who also was the first executive governor of Abia state; and technically, the first executive governor of Ebonyi state, can not point to a single achievement as his legacy in almost his 2years administration before Chinyere Ike Nwaosu, a military administrator took over on Dec 1993. Dr. Onu's 2years as a governor had no impact on the people, not even on the lives of his own people (Uburu, Okposi Afikpo, Onitcha and the generality of what constitutes Ebonyi state today. Little wonder why the elders and people distanced themselves from him, and on several occasions warned him never to interfere in whatever guise in Gov. Umahi's administration or he will be excommunicated and banned from his clan.

Even as a sitting minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, Dr. Onu is yet to record any meaningful achievement, both in his country home or anywhere in Nigeria. Even the toothpick, matches, and pencil he boasted about and gave so much ado to, the pencil, toothpick and matches are yet to be seen or produced, not to talk of exporting as he once promised. How can Dr. Onu who can not even win his own ward talk of winning Ebonyi state for APC? It is far more possible for Buhari to relinquish power by resigning honourably than it is for Dr. Onu to win his ward not to talk of Ebonyi state that has been Davilated and miraculously transformed by a seasoned and masterful administrator.

SENATOR SONNI OGBUORJI
Sonni Ogbuorji is a senator representing the good and industrious people of Ebonyi south senatorial zone since 9th April 2011. He will unchallengeably go down in the annals of history as the most wicked, and backward senator, not just in Ebonyi state but in south east of Nigeria. He is fondly called "the sleeping senator" for his unique talent of always sleeping in the red chamber without making any meaningful contribution to the people of Ebonyi South senatorial zone or for the national.

Ogbuorji who was the local govt chairman of Afikpo local govt area during the military regime before the start of Nigerian fourth Republic, he was once a commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction in the govt of Elechi another failure and incompetent figure. In all his political sojourn and metamorphosis, Ogbuorji can not boast of any people oriented project or achievement in his name anywhere in Ebonyi state. Now how funny it sounds that he want to be the governor of Ebonyi state come 2019. Arrant nonsense and God forbid. Ebonyians will not only resist Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji, but will give them an epic disgrace come 2019. The people of Ebonyi state are now wiser and has pitched their tent with divine mandate.

Moreover, the sociopolitical and economic philosophies of Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji is mundane and egocentrically oriented. This very ugly anti people disposition of these bed fellows is best encapsulated and demonstrated in their respective political antecedence, which is largely characterized by failure, retrogression, maladministration and general negligence of the people's interest. The above description of these men illustrates perfectly the technique employed by Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji aimed exclusively at enslaving the people and and trying to frustrate the govt of Gov. Umahi; to replicate their failure and redundancy which as it were, and always use to be, amounts to efforts and plots in futility, and a waste of time and resources. It is interesting to note that while Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji tries to link themselves to Ebonyians in manner that is both indirect and implicit (perhaps due to their tainted and suspicious public simulacrum they so labored to acquire). Gov. Umahi identifies himself with Ebonyians in a direct and explicit way, and was able to convince the people that both himself and his govt are for the people which his achievements serves as a clear statement of fact. Gov Umahi's political approach, is not only politically sophisticated and effective one, but also reflects his down to earth posture, his uncommon Intelligence/sensibility and the party he represents (PDP). The method utilized by Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji on the other hand, reveals not only their faulty social background and lack of political maturity; but placed them in direct opposition with the wishes and aspiration of the people, and has also exposed their weaknesses and general lack of administrative prowess.

One of the common but yet sophisticated techniques employed by Gov. Umahi is that which I choose to refer as the "testimony technique" a technique that hinges on service delivery in which his numerous achievements speaks for him, which however is the basis of governance. Gov. Umahi not only uses this technique for his new and glorious vision for Ebonyi state and her people, but as one of his new political philosophy aimed at a paradigm shift from the usual politics or governance characterized by empty promises; to a mentality of quality service delivery, sincerity, integrity and a promise keeping type of politics and governance.

Saying that Gov. Umahi is not the expected Messiah of Ebonyi state, and that Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ohbuorji that has failed severally on various public offices that they once held in time past will birth the expected Messiah is tantamount to sounding like a looted brain and a monomania dimwit. The game plan of Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji is to hijack our now working state and to restore their jingoistic and cabalistic govt characterized by epic failure.

In conclusion, how can any progress oriented man of this 21st century with complete rationality identify with men with an unrivaled track record and flare for incompetence? Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji have had their opportunity to prove themselves, but chose to be self serving and egocentric. Ebonyians will continue to ask them their achievements or legacies and positive contribution to the state. It is time to ask sensitive question to these bed fellows now acting like saints over night. The uncommon transformation in Ebonyi state today is predestined by God alone, and no evil forces or mechanization can stop Ebonyi state because Ebonyi state is now under a divine destiny under Gov. Umahi. Ebonyians, particularly the youths are ready not only to replicate in double folds what happened in 2015, but ever ready to defend by whatever means necessary the govt of Gov. Dave Umahi come 2019. The battle is between the people and Elechi, Dr. Onu and Ogbuorji; I do hope that they are ready to dance to the tune.

Politics / Re: Jonathan: I Am Ashamed Nigeria Used By Akufo-Addo As Negative Example by Epsilon92: 11:13am On May 26, 2018
May God hear our cry
yns4real:
…warns Buhari not to use powers to weaken democracy

Kamarudeen Ogundele, Ado Ekiti

Former President Goodluck Jonathan says he is ashamed that Nigeria is now being used as a negative example in the international community.

He cited recent instances when the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, mocked the poor state of security in Nigeria and the naira’s weakening status.

Jonathan spoke at the inauguration of the first bridge built by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, on Friday night.

The former President lamented that things were so bad in the country that Nigeria had lost its respect in Africa.

He said, “He (Ghanaian President) said Ghana is not like Nigeria where cattle roam the streets. At another occasion in the United Kingdom, he made scathing remarks about Nigeria’s currency.

“I feel ashamed as a former President that the president of a neighbouring country used Nigeria as negative examples.

“If a neighbouring African president will use Nigeria to make negative examples, then we as leaders must know certain things are wrong in the country. That means we as leaders must change the way we do things.”

The former President, therefore, urged Nigerian leaders to show serious concern, noting that many things had gone wrong in the country.

Jonathan also advised President Muhammadu Buhari to resist pressure to rig the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State and subsequent elections in the country.

He praised the people of Ekiti for their support for the Peoples Democratic Party, urging them to support the youthful candidates of the party in the election.

The party has elected 50-year-old Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, and 39-year-old Deji Ogunsakin as his running mate.

Jonathan described Fayose as an exemplary leader and loyal party man, who had done the PDP proud in all areas.

He said, “I don’t believe anybody can defeat the PDP in Ekiti if election is going to be held.”

He said, “I use this opportunity to call on Mr. President because I was there before. When you are there, there is so much pressure on you to use your power to subjugate democracy.

“Don’t do that because when you are going; the only thing you leave behind is your good name. If you use it wrongly, posterity will haunt you. I call on Mr. President to use his power to strengthen democracy.”

Jonathan also defended Nigerian youths, saying they were one of the best in the world and should not be branded lazy as recently remarked by Buhari.

“We must encourage young people to work hard. I don’t think Nigerian youths are lazy, I have worked with some of them in my cabinet as governor and president. Nigerian youths are great people with intelligence,” he said.

At the event, Governor Ayodele Fayose said the 77-member election committee raised by the All Progressives Congress for the Ekiti governorship election showed the desperation of the party to win at all costs.

“I will defeat them by the grace of God,” he said.

Politics / Re: Only Someone Like Buhari Who Enjoys Backwardness Can Idolise Abacha –Reno Omokri by Epsilon92: 10:41am On May 26, 2018
Nigerians wake up b4 it becomes too lat. Now is the time
YouthsPC0:
In this interview with JESUSEGUN ALAGBE, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri, speaks his mind on President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war, his loyalty to former President Jonathan, among other political issues

You are one of the most outspoken critics of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, especially as regards its anti-corruption war, while always defending former President Goodluck Jonathan. Would you say all the alleged looting under Jonathan that has been exposed by this government never took place?

I thank God that you said ‘alleged’ looting. I deal in facts, not allegations or speculations. If all the Buhari administration has on the Jonathan government after three years are allegations, then that ought to tell you a lot.

Here is one fact for you. In terms of corruption, Transparency International, the only global body recognised as an arbiter on corruption, has said that the Buhari administration is more corrupt than the Jonathan government.

Whereas under Jonathan, Nigeria made its best ever improvement on Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, moving eight places forward from 144 to 136 in 2014, today, Nigeria has made its worst ever retrogression under President Buhari, moving backwards 12 places from 136 to 148. This is a fact.

Let me give you another fact, you will agree with me that the biggest thief in Nigeria’s civil service history is Abdulrasheed Maina, the former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms.

He was dismissed by former President Jonathan and declared wanted. All of a sudden, he turned up in Nigeria with a double promotion. The Buhari government should tell Nigerians who recalled, reinstated and double-promoted Abdulrasheed Maina.

Nigerians may further recall that according to Dr. Junaid Mohammed, Maina was said to have been given armed guards. Nigerians may further want to note that the Attorney General of the Federation went to court to halt a Senate probe meant to unravel the Maina mystery. On this issue, it is pertinent to state that the Head of Service, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, revealed that she warned President Buhari about the Maina affair before he was reinstated.

While the Buhari regime is also explaining that, they should find time to explain to Nigerians why the $25bn contract scam at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has not been investigated till today. They should also explain why subsidy payments, which President Buhari termed ‘a fraud’ during the campaign, have jumped to 1.4tn per annum, yet the price of petrol has nearly doubled to 145 from 87? If petrol prices go up, then subsidy should go down. If subsidy goes up, then petrol prices should go down. It is mathematically impossible for subsidy to go up at the same rate and time price goes up. These are facts.

Now let me ask you, between facts and allegations, which are more credible?

Is the Buhari government’s persistent blaming of President Jonathan for the looting not justified?

How can it be justified? No amount of allegations is justifiable without facts. Thank God it was an All Progressives Congress senator that got up on live television and revealed that this administration has borrowed more money in three years than the Peoples Democratic Party borrowed in 16 years, yet what has been the impact?

Till today, no one in the Buhari administration can point to even one project that the President Buhari-led government has initiated, started and completed in three years except the Daura helipad which was built for the President’s own use. Great leaders think of the people they lead. It is weak leaders, like Buhari, who think only of themselves.

In the first year of Jonathan, he had initiated, started and completed over 1,000 projects, including three universities and the revival of the Lagos to Kano railway. In his second year, he had completed 2,689 projects, including five more universities. By his fourth year, he had started and completed over 10,000 projects, including three new power projects, 10 power sub-stations, 189 health care centres and four more universities (bringing the total to 12 and 165 Almajiri schools).

These are specifics. Now I ask you to name one project initiated, started and completed by the Buhari administration in three years? And Buhari had the guts to insult former President Obasanjo. Really?

President Buhari is an ungrateful beneficiary of President Obasanjo’s good governance. He is an ingrate for saying he is paying Obasanjo’s debt. Obasanjo did not spend $16bn on power. Obasanjo actually paid all our foreign debts and left a total reserve of $67bn. It is Buhari who has borrowed more in three years than the PDP borrowed in 16 years.

Last year on former President Obasanjo’s birthday, President Buhari called him a statesman ‘with commitment to good governance’. Today, he is hinting at probing Obasanjo’s alleged $16bn power project contracts just because Obasanjo is against his re-election. Is that the action of a man with credibility and integrity?

In your criticism of President Buhari and his men, you seem to use a lot of abusive words. For example, in several of your social media posts on Wednesday, you referred to the President as an ‘ungrateful ignoramus’ and to the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, as ‘Linus, Liability, Liebaran, etc.’ Why do you have a liking for such words that are often seen as abusive?

How can the truth be ‘abusive’? If I call a thief a thief, can that be abusive? Truth is bitter. I will not flatter the President. I am an ordained minister. I serve God through Jesus. When my Lord was talking to the Pharisees, He called them ‘hypocrites,’ ‘brood of vipers,’ ‘blind leaders of the blind,’ ‘children of hell’. When He was talking about King Herod, He called him an ‘old fox’.

I am not abusing the President or Lai Mohammed. I am describing them. An ignoramus is an ignorant person. How can you claim that Obasanjo spent $16bn on power when as President the facts are available to you? That proves that President Buhari is an ignoramus.

On Lai Mohammed, he said just this week that the President had fulfilled his campaign promises. I am asking you and Nigerians, is that not a lie? What do you call someone who lies? Is it not a liar? Please let us call a spade a spade and not a garden implement!

Someone needs to remind Lai that he is meant to be fasting during Ramadan and that fasting is not just abstaining from food, it includes abstaining from lies! Lai should fear God!

President Buhari campaigned to secure Nigeria. Look at how many people have died in Nigeria between January and today. In Benue State alone, 481 people have died. In Kaduna State, it is close to 300. In Zamfara State, it is said to be above that. Taraba State is claiming over 700 deaths. I am not even mentioning the Boko Haram theatre of war. How many people are dying in war-torn Afghanistan?

Afghanistan is officially at war, yet more people died from terror in Nigeria in 2018 than in Afghanistan. In the first quarter of 2018, Afghanistan had 763 war-related deaths. In the first quarter of 2018, Nigeria had 1,351 terror-related killings. Do not take my word for it. Please Google this fact I just mentioned. Yet, Nigeria is officially at peace.

Buhari is a plague on this nation. Never since the civil war have we had death on so wide and so high a scale. How many of us will still be alive if Buhari is re-elected in 2019? You or your family may be next!

Recently, a political commentator, Nduka Anwuzie, claimed in an article that you’re hypocritical and that oftentimes, even as a pastor, you’ve also told lies to cover up the President Jonathan government. Anwuzie said you ought to use your position as a pastor to tell the PDP officials accused of corruption to return the monies they looted from the treasury. Is this something you might consider doing?

I am a very specific and fact-oriented person. I have a bestselling book, titled Facts Versus Fiction: The True Story of the Jonathan Years: Chibok, 2015 and Other Conspiracies.

If this fellow, whom I have never heard of, is serious, let him be specific and list even one lie I have told. I challenge him. If you know him, beg him to take up the challenge.

As regards telling PDP officials accused of corruption to return the monies they looted from the treasury, only a barbarian will tell the accused to do such. If a person is convicted, I will be the first person to tell him to return his loot.

But since the Buhari government and its paid vuvuzelas like to dwell on accusations and allegations, let me throw one of my own. If the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wants to arrest young men living large without an identifiable source of income, then they should start with Yusuf Buhari. Yusuf does not have a job. He has not undergone the National Youth Service Corps programme. His father had to borrow to buy nomination form. Where did he get the millions for the BMW power bike?

Your social media critics often ask you to return to Nigeria to come and continue with your opposition to the President Buhari government, but you always respond by saying you will be arrested if you return. What specifically are you afraid of?

When my book became a bestseller, my brother, Boyowa, who is my carbon copy, was detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport [Abuja]. A number of news organisations carried the story. You may want to Google it. This administration is allergic to truth. That is why they will do everything in their power to shut someone like me up, but God is greater than them all!

Why do you think former President Jonathan doesn’t reply President Buhari and other All Progressives Congress officials anytime they blame him for the poor state of the country?

Because former President Jonathan is a man with a very deep belief in God; he once said, ’My ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian’. The man is too decent for them.

Look at the recent revelations by Victor Uwajeh, the former Special Investigator to the Special Presidential Investigation Panel on Recovery of Public Property. He accused the President Buhari administration of waging an anti-opposition war and not an anti-corruption war.

He exposed that he was pressured to go after Dame Patience Jonathan and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Why would Dr. Jonathan respond to them when God is already exposing them?

Do you think he’s afraid of being probed should he respond on such occasions, seeing now that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is being attacked over $16bn power projects the moment he [Obasanjo] started criticising Buhari?

It seems you do not know that former President Jonathan has already been probed by this administration more than any other head of state in living memory.

In fact, it is quite funny that President Buhari, who is celebrating Abacha, a known and convicted thief, is going after Dr. Jonathan, a man who achieved what he does not have the capacity to achieve. What an irony!

On Tuesday when Buhari made some savoury comments on the late dictator, General Sani Abacha, you said when you schooled in England, your university had a module on Abacha’s thievery. Can you tell us exactly what you learnt about the late dictator in the course?

Well it is public knowledge. The late General Sani Abacha was established to have stolen over $5bn, which prompted the United Kingdom’s Financial Services Authority to tighten anti-money laundering laws because they were embarrassed by the sheer scale of that tyrant’s thievery.

I read law in England. We were made to study Abacha’s thievery as a test case. My colleagues knew I was a Nigerian. My lecturer was a former adviser to the late Mrs. [Margaret] Thatcher. If embarrassment could kill anyone, I would have died during that class because of shame. Yet, this is the same Abacha that President Buhari is praising!

Do you think that Abacha deserves all the accolades being showered on him by President Buhari?

How can? I ask you, how can? A man who had killer squads who killed Kudirat Abiola, Chief Alfred Rewane, Major General Shehu Musa Yar’adua (retd.), Bagauda Kaltho, Sola Omatsola, amongst others?

Abacha ruled for five years and Nigerians were spending hundreds of thousands to get a mobile line. He died and within 18 months, Obasanjo had made it possible for any Nigerian who wanted it to get GSM for next to nothing.

It is only someone like President Buhari, who enjoys backwardness, who has no sense of decency or decorum or even shame, that can idolise such a thoroughly nasty piece of work like Abacha!

In your working with President Jonathan then, would you say he lacked a firm grip on his cabinet members, considering the alleged massive financial malfeasance they carried out right under his nose?

But history goes against what you are alleging. Two of his ministers were accused of corruption and President Jonathan fired one of them on the same day and the other after a two-week investigation.

Compare that to President Buhari.

His former Secretary to the Government of the Federation [Babachir Lawal] was caught red-handed in corruption, yet he did not sack him for six months and only sacked him when there was public outcry.

The man was sacked and, according to Junaid Mohammed, he [Lawal] was allowed to nominate his own cousin as his successor. Till today, he has not been charged!

President Jonathan investigated the then-Group Managing Director of the NNPC [Andrew Yakubu] and found him wanting and immediately sacked him and the government sent a petition to the EFCC to investigate him.

What has happened to the current GMD of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru, after the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, exposed that he had awarded $25bn worth of contracts without due process? Nothing.

You are said to be among the few who have remained loyal to President Jonathan. Why did you choose to stay so?

Because I am loyal to my conscience, not my stomach. But ask yourself if those around President Buhari can say the same? Let us take President Buhari’s spokesman, for example. Garba Shehu was Special Assistant on Media for years during the President Obasanjo administration. Garba did not resign from that government.

In fact, Garba Shehu was affiliated with the PDP for 12 good years. He has been in the PDP for more years than he has been in APC. He was in the PDP longer than I have been associated with the PDP.

Garba Shehu cannot deny this because his office was opposite mine at the Presidential Villa between 2003 when I returned from the United Kingdom and 2005 when I went to the United States. Garba shehu used to craft very strong anti-Buhari press releases for the PDP during his 12-year sojourn as a PDP member, which included years spent as SA Media under Obasanjo. Now he crafts press releases for the same man he once attacked against the same people he once praised! Garba is the epitome of AGIP, meaning Any Government in Power. I am the epitome of loyalty. There is no basis to compare myself with him. I follow my conscience. Garba follows his stomach.

Does he [President Jonathan] ever compliment you for your loyalty?

I am not doing it because of former President Jonathan. I am doing it so that my Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Son of God, can say to me on the Judgment Day, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’.

In April when the Federal Government released its looters list, you came up with your own list almost immediately, including the names of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; APC governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; and others. Has there been any lawsuit or threat of one by the people you mentioned in your list?

There has been not even a hint of a lawsuit because I spoke the truth. And just to prove how confident I am, I challenge any of those mentioned in my own looters list to sue me if they are innocent. Truth fears no lawsuit.

As a matter of fact, Saturday PUNCH did an interview with the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay, where he praised me for coming up with such a thorough list. I am only one individual, yet my list was thorough and based on fact.

The Buhari administration has over 200,000 civil servants at its beck and call, yet its list was full of gossip, rumour and hearsay.

Recently, you and a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, had an altercation on social media over former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s comments on herdsmen killings. Have you resolved the matter?

I did not harbour any grudge so there is nothing to resolve. As is usual with me, I spoke based on facts. I do not have time for speculation and gossip.

On herdsmen attacks, what do you think should be done to stem the situation?

Herdsmen are terrorists not criminals. They are listed by the Global Terrorism Index as the world’s fourth deadliest terror group. If the Buhari administration can treat herdsmen who kill in the same way as it treated the Indigenous People of Biafra, who don’t kill, then the problem will be solved.

Look at how the President of Ghana dealt with them. Ghana issued a shoot-at-sight order on herdsmen. Since then, have you heard of even one herdsmen killing in Ghana?

Tell us one thing you think President Buhari is doing right.

Three years ago, he said the following words:

‘I wish I became head of state when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do.’

I concede that he was right then.

What advice would you give to Nigerians as the country prepares for the 2019 elections?

If you love yourself, if you love your children, if you love your parents, if you love your siblings, if you love your neighbours, if you love Nigeria, get rid of the Buhari administration.

To show you how little the lives of Nigerians matter to President Buhari, at the very hour that Christians in Benue State were burying the two Catholic priests and their 17 parishioners killed by Buhari’s killer herdsmen kinsmen, the President was receiving members of the Buhari Support Group.

In the same vein, at the very time that Benue State was mourning the 72 persons killed by herdsmen on the New Year’s Day, President Buhari received APC governors, who went to endorse him for a second term.

Let me end with a quote the Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, of the APC made on February 16, 2018. He said:

‘I feel let down facing the people of this state whenever I remember the promise I made to them that when they elect President Buhari into power, these killings will end. Unfortunately, things are now getting worse.’

Buhari is a let-down. Vote him out!

Politics / Re: Reply To Reno Omokri: How Mbaka Openly Criticised Buhari by Epsilon92: 2:25pm On May 25, 2018
Only God will judge.

2. Buhari’s good intentions have been kidnapped by a cabal around him:

“Things are very very difficult, hard and tough nowadays; the hardship is not from God, they are man- made. The wicked cabals and satanic agents in this country have wickedly kidnapped the goodwill and good intentions of Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari.”

3. Buhari needs to change things or he will be changed:

“President Buhari must wake up and sit up immediately. Heaven demands Buhari, our President to change all those who are holding and caging him in captivity; if he will not change them, he will be changed. Mr. President wake up; sit up; God said you are toying with the privilege given to you. There is no time; Nigerians are dying in your hand; people are not happy with your system. Change or you will be changed; God said that Buhari is in trouble; Buhari is hypnotized; Buhari is in a horrible bondage and Buhari’s mantra has been cannibalized. Unless President Buhari quickly and strategically, positions the right people and changes the former ones inaugurated by him, the wind of change that he himself inaugurated will blow him away shamefully. The wind will be too strong that Mr. President and the cabal will be blown out of office shamefully. The wind will be irresistible for it will come like a hurricane.

4. Buhari is waging a selective battle against corruption:

“His pattern of battling corruption is not just archaic and barbaric but is witch-hunting and terribly selective. Mr. Buhari as the President, why should you be picking and choosing those that you and your so-called EFCC man would want to arrest, so that your party becomes a hideout for criminals, so that any person who does not want to be arrested will become an APC person? Is that not corruption on itself?”

5. Pres. Buhari is to blame, not the cabals:

“Nigerian economy is in shambles and Nigerians are in sorrow. Nigeria is not just passing through an economic depression but also it is a time of economic repression and compression. The cabals have messed up the President and confused him. So, Mr. President, you are to be blamed, not your cabals. You have your brooms, but the cabals have their bags; either you sweep them away or they throw you into the bag.”

Please dear father God this country Nigeria need a good leader not someone who has lost sense of reasoning, not one who doesn't see anything bad when his terrorists brothers in the guise of herdsmen kill people he claims to be their president, not one who is tribalistic.

[quote author=Luizville post=52827620] Press Statement
CAN Replies Council of Imams and Ulamah of Kaduna State

Yesterday CAN National Secretariat was inundated with calls from several well-meaning persons over a Press Conference addressed by the Council of Imams and Ulama of Kaduna State. In the press conference, the Islamic clerics called for the arrest of CAN president, Dr. Samson Ayokunle, the Senator Representing Southern Kaduna, Distinguished Senator Danjuma Laah, the President of Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, SOKAPU, Dr. Solomom Musa, Rev. Zechariah Gado, Hon. Sunday Marshal, Dr. Danfulani, and my humble self, Rev. Dr. Musa Asake.

The Islamic clerics’ anger with us was that we had made comments that stoked the ongoing killings in Southern Kaduna. CAN wishes to state that the demand of these Muslims preachers has again reaffirmed their hypocrisy. To CAN, this is a surprising shameless, unveiled criminal support for evil.

While, the killings of children, women, aged and the most defenseless of Southern Kaduna natives and the destruction of entire communities was at its peak, no one knew that a group called Council of Imams and Ulama existed in Kaduna state.

When Church leaders under the banner of CAN kept praying for Southern Kaduna and other affected areas in the country, visiting traumatized communities and softly calling on government to do the needy, this Council of Imams was silent and invisible. If indeed, this Council of Muslim clerics claim to preach peace, tolerance and respect for human lives, we would expect them to have come out to call the rampaging Muslims herdsmen to order; condole the victims and join in the process of looking for a lasting solution, but mum was their response.

Dear reverand, thanks for this write up, but we all should know that this 'so called' religion of peace has never, I don't think will ever propagate their religion in peaceful manner. Come to think of it, have you ever see any of them outside telling people that mohamade saves? No! They only propagate their religion by volience, killing of innocent souls and by birth. Religion of indeed, insort islam is evil
