Jobs/Vacancies / Skilled Workers Overseas-----determine Your Eligibility by equilogng: 11:43am On Jul 22
All applicants to the MPNP who are applying as Skilled Workers Overseas must demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba either through the support of family members or friends, through previous education or work experience in the province or through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. You can find more information about the different types of eligible connections below.

Use the Points Assessment information below to estimate your eligibility under the MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

Manitoba Support

A Manitoba Supporter is an established resident of the province who is a friend or relative of the applicant and is willing and able to review and endorse the applicant’s plan for settling and finding employment in their destination community. A Manitoba Supporter must be the applicant’s close relative or friend/distant relative, and must be:

able to provide documents proving they reside and are established in Manitoba and have been living in the province continuously for at least one year (ex: copy of Manitoba Health Card)
a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (ex: copy of Permanent Resident Card)
able to demonstrate sufficiently close ties to the applicant and to Manitoba
able to demonstrate that any applications they previously supported resulted in successful, permanent economic establishment in Manitoba
able to support the applicant’s Settlement Plan

For close relatives, both the applicant and the supporter must provide documents proving their familial relationship.

Close relatives may support the application of more than one skilled worker at a time provided they satisfactorily demonstrate their ability to do so.

For friends and distant relatives, their household must not be currently supporting the settlement of another MPNP applicant, nominee or person under another Canadian immigration program.

Finally, your supporter cannot be and the MPNP will not accept a Settlement Plan Part 2 signed by:

a paid immigration representative
anyone who is not a demonstrated relative or friend of the applicant or the applicant’s spouse
a Canadian elected official or their staff

Your Manitoba supporter is your connection to the province; to be eligible for the MPNP you must also demonstrate you can be assessed sufficient points for language, employability, education, age and adaptability according to the MPNP Self-assessment Worksheet.

Note: Applicants with Manitoba Supporters should declare that person and their address as local contact for correspondence with the MPNP so that your supporter is authorized to discuss your application.

Important: The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is not a sponsorship program. Because the MPNP is a labour market-driven, economic immigration program, all applicants must be employable and adaptable skilled workers with job-ready English, sufficient settlement funds and the genuine intention and ability to economically establish in Manitoba as permanent residents.

Familial relationships

To be considered a close relative, a Manitoba Supporter must be related to the applicant (or the applicant’s spouse) in one of the following ways:

sister or brother
niece or nephew (ex: child of your sister or brother)
aunt or uncle (ex: brother or sister of your mother or father)
first cousin (ex: child of your aunt or uncle)
mother or father
grandmother or grandfather

Can children support parents?

No. Children living in Manitoba cannot serve as Manitoba Supporter for their parents’ MPNP application. Instead, visit IRCC > Sponsor your parents and grandparents.

Can Canadians or Permanent Residents support an application for their spouse?

If you are married to a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident, you are not eligible to apply to the MPNP, but you may qualify under IRCCs Spousal Sponsorship category. Please visit IRCC > Spouse and Common Law Application.

Important: The MPNP requires up-to-date contact information for your Manitoba supporter. Your supporter MUST inform the MPNP if they move to a new address or there are any other changes to their contact information. If the MPNP is unable to contact your supporter using the information on file, your application may be refused.

Jobs/Vacancies / 8 Ways To Improve Your Job Security. by equilogng: 11:34am On Jul 07
A friend confided in me last week that she didn't feel secure at her work. As an executive staff, her boss, recent reshuffling, and reorganization put her in a precarious state. This speaks on current trends in business in the wake of COVID-19.

Before a company fires any staff many factors must have been considered behind the closed doors.

The first exercise a manager will conduct is comparing the cost of each employee with the benefits (revenue) generated by the employee.

The second stage of evaluation is figuring out who are the manager’s friends (aka cronyism). The friend of the manager can truly be a friend,
or someone who makes the manager look so good, it’s impossible to let that person go.

The third step a manager must think about is what will happen if business revives and she needs to rehire the person let go. The more difficult he or she is to replace, the lower the chance he or she will be let go. Above is HOW MANAGERS THINK BEFORE FIRING YOU.

How to Improve Your Job Security

1. Understand the manager and company goals.

Making yourself into an indispensable member of a team means proactively addressing problems begins with a clear view of your manager or company's goals.
Then, You may have to ask yourself 'How can I add value to the company bottom line'
If you can come up with a solution to a problem or a new way to address a stated goal, then that’s one less thing for your supervisor to think about. Try and stay ahead of issues, and bring your polished ideas to your manager if you believe they can be helpful.

2.Grow your skillset.

The most important question to ask yourself is what skills do I need in order to be up -to- date in the current job market?
I’m a big proponent of life-long learning, and I truly believe that being a life-long learner will help you develop professionally more effectively than many other things. As your career develops, so too should your skillset. Develop your skills both in and outside of the workplace, by taking classes, practicing new skills, and dusting off old ones. Look up LinkedIn to have an idea of current trends in your job role and company's industry.

3.Know how to communicate with your manager.

Good communication brings clarity and FasTracks problem-solving. Having unclogged, clear lines of communication with your manager will help prevent any small issues from developing into larger, career-ending problems. In line with this, know which mode of communication is most preferable for your manager. Are they more comfortable with email, or in-person? How often do they want to hear about project progress? When possible, adapt your mode of communication to fit with their preference.

4.Become an expert in something.

People turn to the experts when there are challenges and to solve problems. Look for areas in your business where you can put your skills to use and become an expert. Then, volunteer for projects that will allow you to use these skills and show them off.

5.Offer to help coworkers.

Don’t wait for someone to approach you. Offer your help to others when it appears they might need it. Don’t expect any return favors – help others because you want to, not because you expect something in return. Always play nice with others and learn to flex your style so you can get along with any personality type.

6. Networking is Vital.

You can find new employment opportunities with better packages through current professional relationships when you engage in quality network
building. When your network knows your skills, personality, and preferences, they will think of you when opportunities arise.

7. Never miss a commitment. Complete all your projects/assignments on time (and under budget). If you hit an obstacle, “go ugly early” as the old saying goes, by letting your boss know and asking for help.

From recent data available from recruitment agencies and LinkedIn record increase in demand for a particular skill.
Reachstacker/ or container handler Operator.

What Does A Stacker Operator Do

Material moving machine operators use machinery to transport various objects. Some operators move construction materials around building sites or excavate earth from a mine. Others move goods around a warehouse or onto container ships.
Duties

Material moving machine operators typically do the following:

Set up and inspect material moving equipment
Control equipment with levers, wheels, or foot pedals
Move material according to a plan or schedule
Keep a record of the material they move and where they move it
Make minor repairs to their equipment

In warehouses, most material moving machine operators use forklifts and conveyor belts. Wireless sensors and tags are increasingly used to keep track of merchandise, allowing operators to locate them faster. Some operators also check goods for damage. These operators usually work closely with hand laborers and material movers.

Many operators work for underground and surface mining companies. They help to dig or expose the mine, remove the earth and rock, and extract coal, ore, and other mined materials.

In construction, material moving machine operators remove earth to clear space for buildings. Some work on a building site for the entire length of the construction project. For example, certain material moving machine operators help to construct highrise buildings by transporting materials to workers far above ground level.

All material moving machine operators are responsible for the safe operation of their equipment or vehicle.

Jobs/Vacancies / Average Forklift Operator Salary In Canada, dubai Australia by equilogng: 1:07pm On Jun 19
Owing to the negative effect of COVID 19, we have seen an upsurge in the rate of job losses in the white-collar jobs.
However, in the blue-collar jobs, there is a positive increase, as we receive demand for welders, operators, and skilled manpower from a number of shipping and construction companies.
Sadly, we were unable to supply up 100 welders required.

The article is provided to educate us about sectors where jobs are on the rise for interested persons who are seeking to take advantage of the skill mismatch facing all nations. Taking a skill has so many hidden advantages that only those within the industry are privy to.
this is a salary comparison between leading countries with a high demand for forklift operators.

What Do Forklift Operators Do?

A forklift operator is tasked with distributing, transporting, and accounting for merchandise, material, and/or equipment in industrial settings. They work in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, construction, food services, and general storage. Using a reference to inventoried items (or as directed by a supervisor), the operator locates items to be gathered, moved, or distributed and then does so. Although the basic purpose of the job is to move and place items from one location to another (i.e., primarily physical labor), the operator may also be required to sort or perform other processing tasks. The operator may also be required to perform general quality-assurance checks.

The operator must be able to properly manipulate a forklift (raising and lowering it, safely traveling between start and destination) while adhering to proper procedures, guidelines, and regulations for its safe operation. The operator may also be asked to maintain the cleanliness of the work area or the forklift. Hours vary for forklift operators, with many individuals usually performing shift work at various points in the day and evening.

Forklift operators' tasks require basic mathematical and verbal reasoning skills, such as addition and subtraction, verbal reasoning, and reading comprehension. A high school diploma or GED typically is required. Many employers require applicants to provide proof of certification or other demonstration of the ability to successfully operate a forklift.

Forklift Operator Tasks

Operate a forklift to move and stack merchandise.
Keep an inventory of product availability and location.

What are skills shortages?

Finding a career that you enjoy and are good at can help you succeed in the workforce.

But it can also be useful to understand what skills are in demand or may be in demand in the future (called 'skills shortages'). The Department of Employment conducts regular research to identify what skills are in short supply across Australia.

The demand for skilled employees can vary from region to region. Skills shortages are caused by many different factors such as:

People moving out of regional areas.
Not enough training places for certain skilled occupations.
Changes in technology.
A large increase in construction work in a region.

Skill shortages can benefit job seekers because:

there may be more job vacancies and less competition for people with that skill and
wages and conditions may be better if employers need to attract people to the occupation.

For information on which occupations are experiencing skills shortages visit the National, state and territory skill shortage information page on the Department of Employment's website.

This report can help you understand which skills and jobs are in shortage and where there may be opportunities. However, it’s important not to pursue an occupation just because it is currently in shortage. The labour market can change quickly and the occupation may not be in shortage for long. It's more important to find something that you enjoy and that interests you.
Occupations treated as exceptions

When we assess applications for Essential Skills Work Visas or award points for Skilled Migrant Resident Visas, occupations on this list will be treated as being skill level 1 to 3 — but only if you are paid at least the New Zealand median wage of NZD $25.50 per hour.

Obaseki is not a wise man at all. He is not a politician.

Edo election is not a general election. I don't see PDP defeating APC in Edo state.

Obaseki or PDP has no formidable structure in Edo state.

The APC will deploy every Arsenal to retain power.

The only weapon is the police and inec colluding with APC.
but remember that Oshiomole won Edo governorship when PDP was the majority party in Nigeria had the power of incumbency.
The popularity of Obaseki within the Edo people will count. Moreover don't forget PDP still has some seats at the State assembly meaning they still have the potency to wreak havoc.

Jobs/Vacancies / A Teen Is Rewarded With Car And A College Scholarship For Voluntary Service by equilogng: 1:37pm On Jun 08
Meet Antonio Gwynn Jr.,..A teen who spent 10 hours cleaning up street after a protest is rewarded with a car and a college scholarship.

In all labor there is profit..but idle talks lead only to poverty Proverbs 14:23..
No future for the lazy folks....

When Antonio Gwynn Jr. saw the damage from protests in his hometown of Buffalo, New York, he grabbed a broom, bought some trash bags and started cleaning the streets by himself.
He started at 2 a.m. on Monday and did not stop cleaning for the next 10 hours. When an organized group of neighbors arrived later that morning to start clearing the damage, they found that Gwynn had already done most of the work.
Gwynn is an 18-year-old high school senior. He told CNN that he saw on the local news that Bailey Avenue in Buffalo was covered in glass and garbage, and he knew people needed to use that street to get to work in the morning.

When word spread of how Gwynn single-handedly took action, his community responded.
Matt Block saw Gwynn's story on the news and decided to give him his prized 2004 red Mustang convertible. Block, 27, told CNN the car is one he wanted since he was a child, but these days he is only using it occasionally. He saw Gwynn ask for some car buying advice on Facebook, and Matt decided to offer up his sports car.
It turns out that gift has more meaning than Block ever imagined. Gwynn's mother, who passed away in 2018, also drove a red Mustang. When he realized the coincidence, Gwynn says that he was so shocked he "didn't have any words," and Block says it gave him "goosebumps."
Local businessman Bob Briceland learned of Block's gift, and he decided to extend a year of free auto insurance coverage through his insurance agency.
"I just felt compelled to help him out. We just need to get together our whole city and show people how there's so many good people here," Briceland told CNN affiliate WKBW.
After high school, Gwynn had planned to go to trade school while saving up to go to college. Upon hearing Gwynn's story, Medaille College in Buffalo offered him a full scholarship where he plans to study business starting this fall. One of his many career goals is to open a cleaning business.

This is the first time Gwynn received this type of recognition for his good deeds, but this is not the first time he stepped up to help others. He is a member of Kappa Phi where he enjoys doing community service, and he helps out at churches.
Gwynn is thankful for the community response, saying, "I appreciate everything everyone is doing for me."

Sports / Re: Godswill Uche 'Bala': Kelechi Iheanacho, My Childhood Friend Who Forgot Me by equilogng: 2:32pm On May 25
amliftedhigher:
MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND HAS ROSE TO STARDOM AND HAS FORGOTTEN THAT I EXIST.

Kelechi Iheanacho was my childhood friend, we grew up together in the same neighborhood Nekede Old Road Owerri IMO state. We played the street balls together under the rain and scorching sun. We attended the same primary school; Unique Nursery and primary school Umualum Nekede No 4 b/stop as at then but has relocated to a new site now. We did almost everything together but today grace has found you and you've rose and clapped your way into the corridors of fame and stardom, you're now a celebrity not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

I remember how we conquered the environments of Ama - ato. Azuatalam, Chigozirim known as Podosky and you and I. If we are not there the games won't be fun but you've forgotten so fast and now mingles with those that you met after being famous.

We played an academy club "Danish" together for years before you moved to Taye academy how can you just forget those days so fast?

I remember how happy i was when i watched you play for Nigeria under 17 in UAE 2013.. I was not surprised when you conquered the world in that stage because i knew how good you were prior to then. Your senior brother Uchenna couldn't give me your contact because we are no more on the same pedestrian, you've moved higher.

Hear this,

I'm writing this not because hunger has finished my life but because a picture with you now will serve as a story i will tell to my children. Don't forget that the bodyguards and security personnel guarding you from people coming close to you, were not there when we use to go to the bush in Uzo ubi those days in search of riped fruits. It pains my heart that you've forgotten most of us who suffered with you and grew up together with you in the hood.

It's hard for me to get reach to you again as i've followed you in all social media platforms, Instagram, twitter, e.t.c. But it's easy if you want to get to me, if really you want to.

Please whoever that can reach out to Kelechi Iheanacho should help me and show him this letter and tell him it was written by Bala as i was nicknamed those days.

Rising to stardom doesn't mean you should forget those who grew up with you. I still remember paying for some matches we watched together at the viewing centres even game centres for PS2 (PlayStation). The things we did together are so enormous that i can't put all in writing.

Friends, i know Kelechi Iheanacho may not see this but you that is reading it now, don't forget the people with you now when luck shines on you.

Don't call them lazy, poor or feel irritated when you see them coming to you. We all started from somewhere and grace found you.

Godswill Uche (A.K.A Bàlà)

This can only be the work of idleness....
Make yourself useful.
How much much meaningful investment in time and resources have you invested in yourself?
What skill do.you have ?
Do you think success comes by coincidence? Do you know the battles spiritual , Psychological and emotional warfare going on over his life?
How much time have you prayed for him in your life?
You want to reap where you have not planted abi..

Perhaps you think the life of a footballer is just skills, I pity you.

It's a pity..

This is why we advise you guys to get a skill..we do business with Mikano and lots of the people i know like the Crane and Forklift operators are not affected. In Nigeria of today Certificate alone cannot help you for too long.
