Maybe if u needed some form of advert idea, that will work. an illustration with that specification. You really shouldn't be after a complicated logo, just something simple and memorable that passes the relevant messages of trust and satisfaction.

I honestly don't know anything about that post being hidden cos anybody in their right minds will see thats the main reason the thread was opened in the first place. I checked it now and no mod deleted it, spambot did. None of us has any control over spambot so probably you'll just repost it and make some adjustments there. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

In the spirit of the Easter celebrations, I have decided to help give "5" businesses of fellow Nairaland users a face. So the offer will be on 1st come, 1st serve basis. I am personally helping "5" businesses, other Nairaland designers are free to come contribute their skills for other people that i might not be able to cover.

Also, the following info(design brief) should be provided to help me get a grasp of what your company/business is all about...

2. What is the nature of your business? What is your core business?
3. Please describe in detail your products and services?
4. Do you already have an identity or logo design? If yes, why are you making the change?
5. What are some of the most important applications of your logo? Start with the most important (eg. Business Cards,
Stationery Items, Posters, Signage, Website, Vehicles)
6. Target Market: Who are your customers? Where are they? Is your product/services aimed at a particular sex / age /
income range / group? Are yours mass products or niche products? Your positioning is based on price, quality or
price/ quality ratio?
7. Would you like a symbol or logotype?
• Symbol: This is a more abstract illustration with your company name typeset alongside
• Logotype: This incorporates your company name into the logo itself.
8. Would you like to include a tagline with your logo? If Yes, what's the tagline you will like to include
9. Do you have a preference of colours to be used with your logo design?
10.Do any existing corporate logos appeal to you? If yes, which?

infact if u urself wanna be mod, d floor is all urs... I'm sure my oga spy knows better than this. He knows the complexity associated with these things and he understands quiet alright the limitations of mods which by the way outweighs the advantages. I used to complain the same way about the previous mod (boss Ugo), not until i became mod before i realised that the problem wasn't the mods but the site's administration itself. I derive no benefit from being mod and really don't appreciate being antagonised for whats not my fault or within my control. Thank you

I remember recommending that particular topic but nothing was done about it by Seun and others actually in charge of putting topics on the front page. That's another thing people don't understand... I can only recommend, I can't make the topics go to frontpage.

@Josymba... Yes, a new layer is blank. You fill it with black manually.

Due to recent grievances voiced out by fellow faithful members of this section about topics that make the frontpage from this section being biased and political, I have created this thread so every other member can make their suggestions on topics they feel deserve the frontpage.

u remember we duplicated the image 1st before going through the processes of making the image distinct from the background. all the adjustments made were on the duplicated layer (we are doing it on the duplicated layer cos we don't want to affect the original image itself). After selecting the background, we hide the duplicate layer (its only purpose was to make the background distinct from the image and we have achieved that already so its useless) and click on the original image layer cos thats the background we want to remove.

Hope this makes it clearer.

i made that on CS3... thats wat i use.

Finally, that gives the image its perfect touch. and we have this as our final result.

Finally, we have a smooth, clear silky image but my image seems to have too much blue. You are frer to leave your image at this stage but i want to go a step further so i go to 'image', 'adjustents' and click on 'curves'. A dialogue box appears and i change the channel to blue and modify the graph like it is below.

Next we go to the same 'filters', but this time around 'blur' and then click on 'surface blur'. i worked with the settings below.
